Voyagers 5% + 5% applied? How do you know?

I booked during the fourth of July sale, and it never showed a Voyagers discount, even though I applied my Voyager's club number to the booking. Is it shown itemized anywhere? Should I trust that it was included in the price since I was logged into my voyager's account when I searched and booked?

I made this booking myself online (USA) but my TA is about to take it over in order to get my FCC applied. (Hopefully!) I want to make sure that we are getting everything we're supposed to. In this case, another 5+5 % off would mean that I don't owe anything above my FCC versus having to give MSC more money this month to PIF and keep my December booking.

In my online account/cruise details it just shows total cost and balance due, no breakdown.

On the booking confirmation, usually page three, there should be a field labeled "Pax Type" where it should state "Voyage Selection 5+5".  Also depending on your Voyager Club level and which version of the promotion you booked under there could be OBC on a line under each guest, such as "SB050GVS−Shipboard credit 50 Eur/Usd" with "0.00" for the amount.

ETA: The booking confirmation should be emailed to you when you make the booking and whenever you make any change to the booking.  After that you can no longer request it online and now have to call and ask for it to be sent.

Thank you, Até, I was able to locate the field and it was applied.

I booked the 5 & 5 for B2B's in November & December, but I didn't get a Military Discount. Should I get an additional 5 percent?

drsel

To figure out if you received 5 + 5 = 10% discount from MSC, just see the basic Cruise fare (excluding port fees and taxes) and see if your fare is 90% of that.

If it is over 90% of the basic Cruise fare, then contact your travel agent or MSC directly.

It should show on your invoice. There's a line near the bottom that says Pass Type:5%+5%

camofwilliamsburg

You can easily see discount. It is not a full 10% off. More like 9.25%. But compare to the regular price plus the govt taxes. If your pricing is lower then you have the discount.  Only diamond level get the OBC for the voyagers.

tntornadox

I've had issues with the 5+5 OBC not appearing. Labor Day Sale has always applied automatically but the 5+5 hasn't, even though it shows on the confirmation under Pax Type?

He also gave me OBC as a gift from his company

well the TA gave you what you are going to be given by MSC. I assume your status match is elite to Diamond on MSC and so you get the obc from the sale plus the $50 for the voyagers club since it is a voyagers select sailing.

On 9/20/2020 at 1:36 PM, tntornadox said: I've had issues with the 5+5 OBC not appearing. Labor Day Sale has always applied automatically but the 5+5 hasn't, even though it shows on the confirmation under Pax Type?

I called MSC tonight, because it said 5% voyager club, not 5+5%, and I realized that there should have also been OBC for that promo and there wasn't. The agent was easily able to switch the discount code from "Voyager's Club 5%" to "REPROCOVIDVS5+5". Unfortunately, my total cost went UP because they charged $48 more per person (5 of us) for gov't taxes and fees than on the original booking. I assume because we changed ports. The only reasons I'm not upset are that I am getting more OBC than I was before, and I have bigger things to worry about- namely getting the FCC applied that is supposed to pay for this cruise.

There is nowhere that I can find a "base fare" to do the math and see if the right discount has been applied. It only shows fare per adult and taxes per person. If the cabin was still available on the same promo, then I could reverse engineer it, but it's long sold out.

11 minutes ago, drsel said:   It is 5% discount applied twice or 95% of 95% of the basic Cruise fare (90.25% of the basic Cruise fare). So the 5+5% discount works out to 9.75% discount on basic Cruise fare (excluding port fees and taxes)

I get what you are saying, but I had no way of knowing what the basic cruise fare was to begin with. The agent said that since I was logged in when I booked, it automatically showed me 95% fares. But I can see that the fare went down when she changed me from 5% to 5%+5% so I'm trusting the code on my paperwork.

Pre-Covid, we had trouble with MSC discounts "falling off our booking."  That was MSC terminology.  Keep checking!

It's simply 5% first applied to the total,  then subtracted,   then 5% applied to the NEW total,  and then subtracted.    It is NOT 10% taken off at once.

$1 x .05=  .05        .95x  .05=   .0475      new total=    .9025      not-  .90

Kristen Wiig Joins SNL ’s Five-Timers Club with Cameos from Ryan Gosling, Matt Damon, Paul Rudd and More

Jon Hamm, Martin Short, Fred Armisen, Will Forte and Kaia Gerber also made guest appearances as Wiig hosted the show for the fifth time over the weekend

Saturday Night Live/YouTube

Isn’t that “classic” Kristen Wiig ?

The Bridesmaids actress and former Saturday Night Live cast member, 50, hosted the late-night comedy show this weekend for her fifth time, joining the ever-growing ranks of stars who have also hosted the sketch show five times or more in its 48-year history.

And as well as musical guest RAYE — who performed tracks "Escapism," and "Worth It" — she had plenty of guest stars on hand to help her celebrate!

During Wiig's monologue, for which she wore a chic black, corset top and black pants, the host was joined by a raft of celebrities, from Paul Rudd , to Matt Damon , Jon Hamm , Martin Short , Fred Armisen , Will Forte and none other than Ryan Gosling .

The actress and comedian began by telling the audience she was "so happy to be back" and "so excited" to be hosting SNL for the fifth time as it meant she was "officially in the five-timers club." However, it wasn't long before her excitement about the achievement was somewhat dimmed by a series of starry interruptions.

After greeting the show's band, Wiig continued, only to have Rudd, 55, chime in from the audience, to reveal to the actress that she would be getting her "five-timers jacket." The actor himself wore one of the special robes, which had with the number five on the breast, to mark having also hosted the show five times. Wiig began to explain that she was excited about getting her jacket before she was interrupted again by an audience question, this time from Paula Pell.

Next up came a query from Damon, 53, who appeared to the delight of the audience and told Wiig he "grew up watching" her on SNL. Wearing a "five-timers" jacket, the actor explained that he'd hosted twice but that show creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels had deemed the first gig worth three and the second worth two, meaning he had technically hosted a total of five times.

An increasingly disgruntled Wiig then threw to Michaels , asking if everyone was getting a five timers jacket, regardless of how many times they had hosted the show. A quick camera cut showed Michaels, 79, on stage with Hamm, 53, Short, 74, Armisen, 57, and Forte, 53, all wearing the same jackets as Rudd and Damon as Forte explained of the actors on stage: "together we've hosted five times."

A somewhat dejected Wiig then told the audience that being in the five-timers club seemed "not even that special," before Damon offered her his jacket, which she politely declined. The actor then tried to comfort Wiig by incorrectly claiming she was the youngest and first female five-timers club member — actress Emma Stone being the one who holds both of those titles.

The group of guys then began to serenade Wiig together, though as she joined in, Forte interrupted proceedings to point out Gosling, 43, on the side of the stage, being given a "five-timers" jacket by Michaels despite only hosting twice. The actor then joined the group on stage to deliver Wiig's jacket to her, as the monologue concluded with the whole group singing, "This is your night!"

Elsewhere in the show, model Kaia Gerber made a surprise appearance in a skit named "Pilates," a trailer for a mock horror about going to pilates class, described as "a chilling new look at girl horror." Wiig plays a slightly terrifying instructor in the dimly lit exercise studio, while Gerber, 22, appears to say that the apparently difficult moves are "randomly so easy."

Rudd, Damon, Forte and Harmisen also appeared again in a sketch with Wiig and other SNL cast members about a retirement party that goes awry, while Hamm popped up in a skit titled "Secretaries," which saw him as a businessman alongside Wiig's secretary character, Tooty, as chaos ensued in their office.

Wiig's latest SNL hosting gig means she now finds herself in good company. There are 25 other Saturday Night Live Five-Timers, including Tom Hanks , Bill Murray and the club’s youngest inductee, Stone.

Hanks officially introduced the Five-Timers Club on air for the first time during a 1990 episode he hosted, in which he was “inducted” to the club by Steve Martin, Paul Simon and Elliott Gould, according to NBC . In the episode, Hanks received a now-famous Five-Timers club “robe,” emblazoned with a crest aptly featuring a golden number "five."

Dia Dipasupil/Getty

Wiig was also a cast member on SNL from from 2005 to 2012, appearing as a regular on the show’s 31st through 37th seasons.

During her time on SNL , Wiig received rave reviews (as well as a few Emmy nominations) for playing a wide range of quirky characters , like bubble-haired Gilly, a rambunctiously mischievous elementary schooler known for causing classroom commotion and Judy Grimes, a nervous travel writer who’s always “just kidding!”

Earlier this week, before her appearance on the show, Wiig revisited one of her most beloved characters — the one who landed her a spot on SNL — the Target Lady, in an ad for Target’s Circle Week and the retailer's Target Circle membership.

In a series of 12 new ad spots for the company , created in partnership with former SNL writer James Anderson and director Tom Kuntz, Wiig is “on the clock and ready to rock” as she pesters customers and uses a checkout counter as a treadmill, all while spreading her obsessive excitement for Target.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

Paul Rudd, Ryan Gosling and more stars welcome Kristen Wiig to the 'SNL' Five-Timers Club

Welcome to the club, Kristen Wiig .

The " Palm Royale " star hosted " Saturday Night Live " for a fifth time this weekend, and as is tradition, she was inducted into the show's prestigious "Five-Timers Club" in a cameo-filled monologue. The twist? Most of the appearances were by stars who aren't actually in the club, which is reserved for those who have hosted "SNL" five times.

The first to appear was Paul Rudd , who has been in the club ever since he hosted "SNL" for his fifth time in 2021. While sitting in the audience, he was wearing his Five-Timers Club jacket.

Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.

"I also heard a rumor that you might be doing one of those five-timers sketches featuring awesome celebrity cameos," Rudd said. "So is there a script or something I could look at for that?"

Previously on 'SNL': Kate McKinnon brings on Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph for ABBA spoof and tampon ad

After Wiig told the "Ant-Man" star she isn't doing one of these sketches, former "SNL" writer Paula Pell showed up to humble her a bit, declaring that "SNL" gives out Five-Timers Club jackets "to everybody like free maxi pads." Case in point? Matt Damon appeared next wearing one of the jackets, even though he has only hosted "SNL" two times.

The star joked that "SNL" creator Lorne Michaels told him "the first time I hosted was so good, it counted for three. Second time, not quite as good, that only counted for two, but by my math, that's five, baby!"

This led Wiig to question if the Five-Timers Club jacket has any meaning anymore, and the show then cut to Michaels surrounded by Fred Armisen, Jon Hamm, Will Forte and Martin Short, all of whom were wearing the jackets, despite not having hosted five times. "Together, we've hosted five times," Forte said. Michaels could be seen cracking up as Short passionately defended him against Hamm, who confronted the producer about the fact that he hasn't hosted in more than a decade.

Tina Fey welcomes Emma Stone: The star joined the 'SNL' Five-Timers Club

Finally, all of the celebrities joined Wiig on stage to initiate her into the club through song. But there was still one last cameo: Ryan Gosling , who could be seen putting on a Five-Timers Club jacket off stage. "Are you sure?" he asked Michaels. "I mean, I haven't even hosted three times yet. It seems unfair." ( His third hosting gig will be April 13 .) At the end of the monologue, though, Gosling was the one to officially hand Wiig her jacket.

Emma Stone most recently joined the "SNL" Five-Timers Club in December, with Tina Fey welcoming her in. Other stars who have joined the club in recent years include Woody Harrelson and John Mulaney .

Kristen Wiig returns as Aunt Linda to review 'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer'

Later in the show, Wiig reprised one of her classic "SNL" characters: Aunt Linda, a woman who appears baffled and annoyed by virtually every movie she sees. On Weekend Update, Wiig's Linda offered her take on last year's biggest films, starting with " Barbie ."

"I didn't get it!" she declared. "Is she a doll that comes to life? It doesn't make any sense. And where are they, on the moon?"

Wiig's Linda then reviewed Christopher Nolan's " Oppenheimer ," this year's Oscar winner for best picture. "Directed by Christopher No Thanks," she said. "Why the heck would anyone make a movie about the person who invented the microwave?"

Linda also provided some TV criticism with a review of " The Bear ," expressing her bewilderment with the "very misleading title" and the fact that the kitchen on the show is so "unorganized" and "understaffed."

"Why is he so upset?" she also asked. "He found a bunch of money in the tomato sauce. And what the heck is Kenergy ?"

Kaia Gerber makes a 'SNL' cameo in 'Pilates' sketch

Other highlights from the episode included a mock movie trailer treating a Pilates class like it's a "Saw"-style horror film. Wiig starred as the instructor, and Kaia Gerber made a cameo.

"Usually, there are eight gorgeous women, one gay man not wearing underwear, and sometimes, Kaia Gerber," Sarah Sherman's character said while describing the Pilates class before Gerber appeared and declared, "This is randomly so easy!"

Description

The Moskva-5 (MOCKBA-5 in cyrillic writing) was produced by KMZ ( Krasnogorskii Mechanicheskii Zavod or Krasnogorsk Mechanical factory) in the 1950s. Earlier models of the Moskva were copies of the Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta C , but it makes more sense to call the Moskva-5 an adaptation. Unlike the Super Ikonta, its solid top plate has a built-in rangefinder and a dual-format viewfinder . The best thing about the Moskva-5 is the coupled rangefinder. A lever with rotating wedge-shaped prisms is fixed to the lens plate. Turning the lens to focus rotates the glass, thus adjusting the rangefinder: a very sophisticated device inherited from the Super Ikonta, with no mechanical linkage between the lens and the body. The two windows are 6.5 cm apart for accurate focusing. The separate viewfinder has a larger field of view, which helps composing the picture. As stated above, a sliding frame in the viewfinder selected on top of the camera can be set to 6×9 or 6×6.

The back of the camera showing the year of production (1958), two red windows for 6×6 and 6×9 numbering, the rangefinder window (left) and the separate viewfinder window (right). The symbol to the left of the serial number is the Krasnogorsk company logo.

Dual Format

Super Ikontas were made either for the 6×9 or 6×4.5 format. The Moskva-5 is a 6×6 and 6×9 camera. Since it has a fixed 105mm Industar lens, at 6×6 you have a mild tele at your disposal. To use the 6×6 size, you need to set the viewfinder to the square format. there is a lever to select the right window so you can see the numbering on the film back. The pressure plate does not need to be removed. The 6×9 red window is now blocked, so there's no room for confusion.

As a last step, the 6×6 mask has to be inserted. The camera locks right into its holes. Close the camera and you're ready to shoot.

The Moment 24c is a leaf shutter with speeds of B, 1 to 1/250s. To fire it, the film needs to be transported or the release button will be blocked, indicated by a red window on the top plate. The shutter isn't set by advancing the film; it has to be cocked at the lens by a lever. To take a picture, press the button on the left of the camera top. The button on the right is for unlocking the front plate when the camera is collapsed. Before folding the camera, you shouldn't forget to push down the lever with the polarised glass window.

What are the most difficult holes at the Masters? Ranking Augusta National's toughest holes

voyagers club 5 5

Editor's note: Follow live coverage of the Masters, leaderboard, highlights and more.

Augusta National Golf Club is not the toughest golf course, but it is one of the most iconic. That's not to say that the course doesn't have its difficult parts though. After all, there is a stretch of parts of three holes on the course referred to as "Amen Corner", because you just have to pray to get through that unforgiving patch unscathed for any hope of winning the tournament.

These holes have dashed numerous hopes and dreams over the years. However, performing well on these holes often gives golfers opportunity to catch up in later rounds. These will undoubtedly prove to be the most pivotal fairways and greens to hit at Augusta this weekend, and everyone should be glued to their screens when their favorite golfers tee up for them.

Here are the five toughest holes at the 2024 Masters .

Golf News: Sergio Garcia, Fred Couples offer very different views on the current state of professional golf

Honorable Mention: 16th hole - Par 3, 170 yards

The 16th hole at Augusta can be either the toughest or easiest hole on the course depending on where the pin is placed. Given that the 16th hole has a two-tiered green, when the cup is placed on the higher level, a pinpoint tee shot is needed or else golfers will be left with a near impossible uphill putt for birdie. And any putt left short would almost certainly result in a bogey. On the other hand though, if the cup is on the lower tier, the 16th hole becomes a haven for birdies.

Sure, the hole has a pond to the left that has dashed some championship hopes, but this is also the same hole that has witnessed 24 of the 34 hole-in-ones all-time during the Masters. While it can be a pain, it very often is the opposite. Oh, by the way, the hole will be on the much easier lower-level setup on the final day of the 2024 Masters.

Score to Par in Masters history: +0.139

5) 5th hole: Par 4, 495 yards

An uphill dogleg left, the 5th hole at Augusta boasts two devastating fairway bunkers, needing a carry of 315 yards to clear them. Not only are the bunkers placed in horrible spots though, but they are also incredibly deep. Getting to the green in two strokes from that sand is near impossible.

If that wasn't enough, there is also a bunker on the back side of the green. That may not sound too bad, but when you realize that the green slopes back to front, you realize that shooting toward the back of the green is often the best play so the ball can roll back toward the hole. However, any shot long beyond the green is in danger of ending up on the beach.

Score to Par in Masters history: +0.266

4) 12th hole: Par 3, 155 yards

Another Par 3 and the most unforgiving hole of the "Amen Corner", Golden Bell offers very little wiggle room short or long of the green. Shoot it long and you could end up in either of the far side bunkers or in the woods. Shoot it short and you could end up rolling down the slope into the pond. It's a lose-lose situation.

Furthermore, the layout near the tee box puts the golfer in the middle of a valley of trees, making wind direction very difficult to determine prior to teeing off. This hole is so tough that even Tiger Woods shot a 10 here back in 2020. Any hole that can make the GOAT hit double-digits is quite the doozy.

Score to Par in Masters history: +0.270

3) 4th hole: Par 3, 240 yards

Although this hole started as a 190-yard, Par 3, it's extension has been the bane of many a golfer's existence. Not only does the wind play an enormous factor on this hole, but any miss left is sure to end up in either the deep rough or bunker, meaning a par is near-impossible. This hole has absolutely zero room for error, and has produced numerous bogeys and double bogeys over the years.

Score to Par in Masters history: +0.284

2) 10th hole: Par 4, 495 yards

This is the hole that famously destroyed Rory McIlroy in 2011. It has destroyed many others along the way as well. A perfect tee shot is needed for any hope at a birdie on this hole. Any shot too far left in an effort to get closer to the green could wind up in the fairway bunker. The hole doesn't get any easier after the tee shot though as another bunker to the right of the green is waiting to swallow whole any golfer with a large ego.

Score to Par in Masters history: +0.299

1) 11th hole: Par 4, 520 yards

Although this hole may be slightly easier than in years past ever since a few trees to the right of the fairway were removed prior to 2022, it is still devastating. In 2002, the club moved the hole back from 445 yards to an insane 490 and eventually 520, all while maintaining Par 4 status. Since this is such a long hole, numerous golfers tend to overextend on their second shots in an effort to reach the green in regulation. However, this can be very costly considering the pond on the left side of the green.

This hole is the start of "Amen Corner" for a reason. While the 12th and 13th holes don't offer much reprieve, it's always a pleasant start to the dreaded trio when pros can walk away with a par.
