Sunset Segway

Enjoy a sunset glide along the lakefront! Chicago’s bold skyline and graceful lakefront are magnificent in the glow of the setting sun. This  segway glide departs as dusk arrives, with Buckingham Fountain, Chicago’s Majestic Lakefront, and the Museum Campus providing a dramatic backdrop.

After the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, pioneering architects created bold and innovative new structures that placed Chicago at the forefront of American design. We’ll glide along the Lakefront  and learn about the steel giants that tower above, then ride out to the lakefront to discuss the world-famous skyline.

Glide along Chicago’s incredible lakefront past famous sites such as Grant Park, Hutchinson Field, Petrillo Music Shell, and Buckingham Fountain. See the majesty of the museum campus where we ride past the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium,  Adler Planetarium, and Soldier Field. The tour concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over Navy Pier viewed from one of the best spots in all of Chicago!

One of Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours' most popular Chicago tours is our magnificent evening lakefront tour. The Chicago Fireworks Tour highlights the Navy Pier Fireworks display and the lights festival of Buckingham Fountain. You will get unique views of Chicago’s top attractions illuminated in their evening splendor, set against Lake Michigan and the city’s harbors glistening under the moonlight.

After we complete our Segway training, one of our professional Chicago Segway tour guides will take us to view Buckingham Fountain's evening light show with the incomparable Chicago skyline in the background.

You’ll be mesmerized by its soaring towers of water dancing to the music and light show.

Your Absolutely Chicago Segway Tour guide will entertain you with stories of the city as you enjoy the summer breeze off Lake Michigan. We then glide on our Segways through the fragrant rose gardens to our secret location for an evening of ooh's and aah's as the fireworks light up the sky over Lake Michigan and Navy Pier. Another highlight of this tour is a glide through Soldier Field for a view of the south skyline illuminated all the way to Indiana.

If you are looking for a fun thing to do in Chicago, this is simply a breathtaking experience of magic mixed with some good old fashion Chicago Segway fun. A summer trip to Chicago would not be complete without viewing the Navy Pier Fireworks and Buckingham Fountain at night. Add to that the light evening breeze off the lake, a glide through Grant Park after dark with its fragrant floral gardens, and breathtaking views of the night skyline. All of these make our evening Segway tour a wonderful way to enjoy an experience with friends or the entire family.

We glide rain or shine! Poncho's are provided. In the event of extreme inclement weather as predicted by the National Weather Forecast Service rain checks or rescheduling options are available. We require a minimum of 24 hours advance notice of your scheduled tour departure for all cancellations unless canceled by (Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours). Any tour that is not canceled within this time period is non-refundable. All cancellations are subject to a, 8% processing cancellation fee unless canceled by (ACST). We recommend flat shoes; rocking athletic shoes are prohibited, as are high heels. We do stop for photo opportunities along the route. For your safety and the safety of others still and video camera's are allowed but may not be used while the Segway is moving as it is necessary to have two hands on the machine the Segway Those persons who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted to participate and a refund will not be issued. All participants must be able to ascend a flight of stairs without assistance, are at least 14 years old, individuals must weigh more than 100 lbs. and less than 260 lbs. according with manufacture recommendations. Participants must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Anyone under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by and adult. Pregnant women are prohibited from participating in this activity. We require that all gliders arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before scheduled departure for waiver signing & helmet fitting. Any reservation of 6 or more will be charged a gratuity of 15%. Any group of 8 or more that which desire to glide together is considered a private tour and is subject to an additional guide charge and gratuity will be added upon arrival. Please refer to all FAQ's for further stipulations and recommendations. We do require all participants sign waivers and release forms absolving ABS LLC, all employees of ACST from any and all litigant and responsibility for any and all injury as you glide at their own risk. We do provide training and practice before we depart on your tour. Refund Policy We glide rain of shine, ponchos are provided. The entrance to our section of Millennium Garage is found only from Columbus Drive. Please do not enter on Michigan Avenue as that is a different garage and the vouchers which we offer are not valid. Once in the garage proceed west to the Millennium Park side of the garage. Then once past the entrance gates turn left, heading south to Monroe Street. Park on level 2. Please follow the orange Absolutely Chicago Segway Tour signs. We are located in the lobby of level 2 of the garage.

We are located at 238 E. Monroe Street. Please enter the SE entrance to Excelon Pavilion (large white structure) of Millennium Park. It is between Michigan Ave. and Columbus Drive, on the north side of E. Monroe. Once at the entrance look for our orange Absolutely Chicago Segway tour signs and follow the arrow. Enter the elevator and proceed to the lobby of level 2. (Our signs are not visible until you are in front of the entrance.)
