Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country Extend Tour Dates in 2024

Daniel Donato is not known for slowing down when it comes to touring, and 2024 is going to be no different. The rising Nashville guitarist’s quartet, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, will kick off a number of tours this year .

They’re going to be supporting and co-headlining tours with the likes of moe., Neighbor, Umphrey’s McGee, and more. Now, it looks like even more tour dates have been added to Cosmic Country’s queue for June of this year.

The Cosmic Country 2024 Tour’s next date will be March 30 at Mars Music Hall in Huntsville, Alabama. Pending additional tour dates, the 2024 tour should end on August 10 at Jam Packed Craft Beer & Music Festival in Richmond, Virginia.

moe. Plot Summer Tour Dates with Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country

moe. have teamed up with Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country for a joint summer tour, slated to begin on July 4 at Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, N.J. On the road, Donato and the band will start off the night with a single-set performance, followed by one extended frame courtesy of moe. The band Neighbor will also appear during the band’s kick-off date and follow-ups. 

After night one, the group of jammers will take their collaborative live experience to Levitt Pavilion in Westport, Conn., with another concert appearance slated for July 6 at Stateside Amphitheater at Jay Peak Resort in Jay, Vt. The bands will then appear on the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks in Bethlehem, Pa., on July 10, prior to a New York City date on July 11.

Empire State appearances will take all the players to Wonderland Forest in LaFayette, N.Y., on July 13 and functions as the only two-set performance from moe., ahead of their college town date in Buffalo, N.Y. Regionally, the bands will make their way to Ohio next, where they’ll play a pair of concerts, prior to a pair of Midwest dates, in Indianapolis, Ind., and Kalamazoo, Mich.

What is Cosmic Country? Daniel Donato talks 21st Century sound ahead of his new tour

DECATUR, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) - Once busking on the streets of Nashville, Daniel Donato is now gracing the stages of honky tonks and music venues all across the U.S.

A quick listen to the 25-year-old’s sound and you might think Merle Haggard and the Grateful Dead weaved together a musical genius for the 21st Century. It’s the kind of music you’ll want to turn up real loud.

Joining TVL for a conversation about his music and new tour, Donato explains his style is really a blend of music that brings different types of people together.

“Cosmic Country is a combination of country music along with improvisation like the Grateful Dead and Phish. It’s essentially for people who like camouflage and also a little bit of tie-dye,” Donato explained. “The thing about music is that it’s kind of this magic trick that brings you to the present moment. If we can supply that opportunity for people to come and just be there with us... being in that room, on that day, in that place and time never happens again. It’s truly a once in a lifetime experience — every show.”

The Cosmic Eight Tour is a new show hitting eight different cities across the country. His first stop is at the Princess Theatre in Decatur on Tuesday, February 1 at 7 p.m. Later on, you can catch him at Avondale Brewing Company in Birmingham on February 19. moe. Announces “Best.Summer.Ever” 2024 Tour with Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country

moe. has announced a 12-date “Best.Summer.Ever” Tour at stages across the country, and joined by Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, a tour that guarantees a blend of classic jams, improvisational brilliance, and a vibrant celebration of live music.

Tour stops include shows at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in NYC, a two-night run at Wonderland Forest in Lafayette and a show at Outer Harbor in Buffalo. All but Buffalo feature two sets of moe. and one set of Daniel Donato.

The “Best.Summer.Ever” Tour will kick off with a bang on the Fourth of July at the Stone Pony Summerstage in Asbury Park, NJ. This show, as well as performances on July 5th in Westport, CT, and July 6th in Jay, VT, will also feature Neighbor .

Continuing their commitment to mental health awareness and support within the music community, moe. is proud to announce that $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to Backline and Sweet Relief’s Music’s Mental Health Fund. This vital program offers grants to subsidize mental health and wellness services for touring musicians, crew members, and their families, underscoring the band’s dedication to the well-being of their extended musical family.

Since the addition of Nate Wilson on keys and return of Chuck Garvey on guitar, the band has been reintroducing rarities and classic rock covers back into setlists. Recent shows have featured the first-time performance of Led Zeppelin’s “Going to California,” while in San Francisco, the return of the original “Paper Dragon,” Pink Floyd cover “Interstellar Overdrive,” “CalifornIA,” and “Take the Skinheads Bowling.”

moe. is currently gearing up for their “Ski Tour” in March, kicking off with a notable four-night run at Park City’s Egyptian Theatre, followed by stops at favorite Colorado haunts, particularly meaningful as it marks moe.’s first return to many of these venues since the early 2020 “ski tour” was abruptly halted due to the pandemic’s onset.

Daniel Donato’s own musical frequency was tuned at a young age while growing up in Nashville. After a high school history teacher gave him a pile of Grateful Dead bootleg recordings when he was 18, the stage was set for what would eventually become Donato’s vision, Cosmic Country. Since then, the guitar virtuoso, singer, songwriter and bandleader has released two acclaimed albums, the latest being 2023’s celebrated Reflector and has been tearing it up on the road playing over 200 shows per year. Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country has played to sold-out crowds from coast to coast and garnered a passionate and rapidly expanding fanbase.

Daniel Donato and Cosmic Country to play on CBS's 'Saturday Morning'

Nashville, Tennessee (Release): Guitar virtuoso Daniel Donato and his Cosmic Country band will make their network television debut on CBS 'Saturday Morning' on Saturday, April 20. Donato and company will perform songs from his critically acclaimed sophomore album, 'Reflector', which came out last November via Retrace Music.

'Reflector' is Donato's first collection of all original songs. They embody the continuously progressing musical space he has created for himself, which he refers to as "cosmic country."" Donato's cosmic country is a fusion of Southern rock, bluegrass, classic country, and honky-tonk, blended with Southern California folk and Northern California musical exploration. All these influences are intertwined in 'Reflector', expressed with an energetic yet sophisticated sound that captures the essence of Daniel Donato's creative vision.

Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country is Daniel Donato (guitar/lead vocals), William McGee (bass/backing vocals), Nathanael Aronowitz (keyboards/backing vocals), William Clark (drums//backing vocals). Reflector was produced by multi-Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer/mixer Vance Powell (White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys, Chris Stapleton).

Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country Makes National TV Debut On ‘CBS Saturday Morning’ [Watch]

Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country made its national TV debut yesterday on CBS Saturday Morning .

After sitting with  Widespread Panic for the second time alongside George Porter Jr. down in Mexico during Panic en la Playa Doce earlier in the week, Donato brought his posse to CBS to play three songs as part of the show’s Saturday Sessions live performance series. Among the tunes the cosmic guitarist selected were “Weathervane”, “Lose Your Mind”, and “Rose In A Garden”. All three songs appear on the band’s most recent album,  Reflector , which dropped in November.

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Throughout your Moscow tour, you’ll learn curious facts from soviet history while seeing how Russia exists now, 25 years after the USSR.
