Let’s start scrolling some super adorable dog vacation quotes –
I dressed my show-stopper, for a photo shoot with flowers!
He always takes lead, to ensure my journey is neat
He knew I was in a bad mood, so he didn’t even ask for food!
When I stare, he knows I care, so he doesn’t dare
Even at the beach, he doesn’t need a leash, because he is at peace!
I ensure to dress him up, for he feels completely pumped up!
All is good because he loved his food
He transcends, beyond what I intend!
Once in the snow, he becomes a show
When I say slow, he starts to plow, to show he is not able to flow!
His paws, all along the path, get me awed!
When I saw my dog in the fog, I went agog!
I was afraid he would disappear into those dense greens. Because I always felt he was nature’s own being.
I wonder if he has my genes because he cares for me like a queen!
I never keep him buckled, for we are a couple!
He enjoyed the sail because he kept wagging his tail!
I told him, “Don’t scuttle”, he looked at me puzzled!
When he sat, I put on him a hat that gave him the look of a brat!
While trekking, he keeps everything in check!
The moment I opened my tote, he instantly read that he was going to get his bread!
Can you please be kind to him? He is my child!
When he saw another in fur, he purred!
Seeing nature, with this amazing creature!
I was surprised, for I couldn’t differentiate his nature from that of the natures’!
He loves my company, but out there, he loves it more!
He kept walking atop, without a stop!
He howled because I fell down
He was brown, the new eye of the town!
Look at those innocent eyes, adoring the skies!
I have never seen him this high, he himself is probably wondering why!
I can spot him among crores because I know how he roars!
He loves to explore, by the shore!
I didn’t show him the way out the door, he was already there before!
He was sore, but now restored!
Our rapport is one in crores!
Into the water he flipped, adorable he looked!
I shouted, “Help”, and he yelped!
He stood clasping me, as I was gasping!
In the dark, we embark, leaving marks
He was bony, but never let me feel lonely
Whenever I am low, he makes me flow
On the beach, he went on his knees, because he loved the sea!
The whole experience was a beautiful blend of his soul, my soul, and natures’!
He slayed everyone, with his play!
He crammed onto the jaw of another with a paw!
I wondered why my little creature was limping, then I saw my leg, it was hurt!
Who is my best travel companion? This furred one, with a golden heart!
I have stopped being selective because here is one, who is so protective!
Not every company is the best, but he is my fest!
I was depressed, now completely caressed!
He just emptied his bowel, all fuelled!
He found the voyage joyous!
In the woods, he stood, I thought the sight would make a good cover book!
What use is the cane, when he is there in the lane?
My bag became so cute because he sat on it!
Carried away into space, at his own pace!
I got on board with my abode!
He is my guide, who gives me pride
He is my child, I always wish to have him by my side
My little one strolled, while I crawled!
Well, his tail, he wags, while I carry all the bags!
The sky is blue, but my furred creature is gold!
He stays frozen, till he is sure he is frozen by the camera!
I thought I had lost my white fur because it was snowing all over!
I told him, “Let’s go on a hike”, and he instantly liked it!
Under the Sun, was my son, his reflection as pure as him!
For a second, I saw him looking at the Sea, thinking deeply. Really, could he be thinking?
Sitting on the grass, he was staring at the passage!
He doesn’t mind walking on the roads, it is his goal!
I said bye to my fear for I believe in my pup more than my own instincts!
My doggie never gets lazy, because he loves coffee
Hey furry! Why do you hurry?
I love him, who loves me to the brim
I am creating a story with my doggie!
How can I be dim, when there is Tim ?
My collared friend is ready to conquer the world for me. What then should I be afraid of?
We plotted to reach the rock before we halted!
My doggie becomes a talkie when I drink coffee!
Everybody sees his glory, soon he will become a sensational story!
This one grows naughty when it gets smoggy!
Spiro is my superhero!
This tiny fur’s grace cannot be replaced!
Treat this little one to the window seat, he will turn so sweet!
His petite feet are no more averse to heat!
When he sees a human greet, he considers it to be a feat!
Give him meat, he becomes replete!
If only trees had feet, my canine would have double company!
Up the hill, he became still, Why? Because it got chilly!
He loves to venture because he loves adventure!
He is carefree, so he is easy to carry!
I got wary, while he loved the ferry!
Meet Barry , who is a fairy, bringing merry to my life!
He might look hairy, but he isn’t scary!
As I stood admiring the tree and my furry, they dissipated my worry!
Travel with your pet, you will never fret!
I met my pet when I was in debt and now in jet, I am all set!
Upset? Travel with your pet!
I bet, that with your pet, there is no threat!
Travelling with your pet allows you to find your life object!
On the road, as he strode, I came up with an ode!
He makes it apparent, that I am his parent
Not a second he can miss, for he comes back to kiss!
He is my bliss because he makes me exist!
Though in a carrier, he sees a barrier, he is happier, because I am his carrier!
My pup gets me pumped!
Though he is plump, he loves to jump!
My puppy looks at his tummy, to signal he is hungry!
When I say sit, he does it with grit!
Look at his wit, when he saw the pit, he decided to sit!
When I say stay, he doesn’t play
Realizing he was going astray, he decided to stay!
Strangers engaged because my boy was well-behaved!
All through the trail, he piled, loads of smiles!
Wading through the mile, in his style!
He stopped barking because he loved embarking!
He is rocking because everybody finds him sparkling!
He loved the farm because it was calm!
He calls me mom, through his charm
None dared to harm, because I was armed by this little Tom !
I am growing popular because people are so drawn to click pictures of my adorable pup!
His eyes glee, whenever he is posing with me!

Final Thoughts: Great Instagram Captions for Dog Travel Pictures
I think my terriers Denver and Sam are adorable, and I love to take photos of them. I don’t love sitting there trying to think of a clever caption for Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok or whatever other social media platform we are using these days. In fact, it’s one of the reasons my Instagram account could use some serious work. So, I appreciate lists like this. They help get the creative juices flowing and allow us to get back to the pool or snuggle deeper next to the fire with our pups. I can’t wait to see what you do with these captions.
—–We love traveling and we love our dogs
It’s not always easy to combine the two especially when that means getting on flights or crossing borders. We brought our first dog from Kenya to California, and a few years later she went with us to Ecuador before returning to California where we settled down for a while. Now we are gearing up for a new adventure as we look to bring Sam and Denver on our next global journey. This site is a gift of love to my dogs and to others who love their pets so much, they can’t imagine leaving them behind

Death and Grief
Along with the joy that dogs bring to our lives comes the realization that our companions have a tragically short lifespan. This collection of sad dog quotes offers perspectives on the bittersweet side of the relationship.
Dogs, lives are short, too short, but you know that going in. You know the pain is coming, you’re going to lose a dog, and there’s going to be great anguish, so you live fully in the moment with her, never fail to share her joy or delight in her innocence, because you can’t support the illusion that a dog can be your lifelong companion. There’s such beauty in the hard honesty of that, in accepting and giving love while always aware that it comes with an unbearable price. Maybe loving dogs is a way we do penance for all the other illusions we allow ourselves and the mistakes we make because of those illusions. — Dean Koontz, The Darkest Evening of the Year
When we adopt a dog or any pet, we know it is going to end with us having to say goodbye, but we still do it. And we do it for a very good reason: They bring so much joy and optimism and happiness. They attack every moment of every day with that attitude. — W. Bruce Cameron

I once heard a woman who had lost her dog say that she felt as though a color were suddenly missing from her world: the dog had introduced to her field of vision some previously unavailable hue and without a dog, that color was gone. That seemed to capture the experience of loving a dog with eminent simplicity. I’d amend it only slightly and say that if we are open to what they have to give, dogs can introduce us to several colors with names like wildness, nurturance, trust and joy. — Carolyn Knapp
When you have dogs, you witness their uncomplaining acceptance of suffering, their bright desire to make the most of life in spite of the limitations of age and disease, their calm awareness of the approaching end when their final hours come. 7 of the Best Dog Travel Blogs to Follow
Travelling with a dog isn’t that simple. You may be an experienced traveller, but once you start travelling with a dog, there’s extra questions every step of the way. What accommodation is dog friendly? Are they allowed on public transport or the plane? What dog-friendly sight-seeing and restaurant options do I have?
Since I’ve started travelling with my dog, Schnitzel, an invaluable source of information has been blogs and websites about travelling with a dog. Not only that, these websites were also the source of inspiration that made me realise that travelling with a dog is possible.
As I’m sure you’d love to find out more places to read about travelling with a dog (as well as this website, Travelnuity ), I’ve put together this list of my favourite dog-friendly travel blogs. While there will never be as many dog travel blogs as there are general travel blogs (virtually an infinite number!) hopefully you can find the answers to your questions on these, plus be inspired to travel with your dog.
When You’re Flying Around the World: PetTravel.com
Not quite a blog, this comprehensive site is frequently my first port of call to determine the rules for a dog to travel to any country. They also have a handy guide to the rules for transporting pets on different airlines.
It’s always best to double check the official government or airline rules though as well, in case any changes have occurred, or there’s extra finicky details you need to take care of.
When You Need Some Adventurous Inspiration: Long Haul Trekkers
Long Haul Trekkers was one of the blogs that convinced me that travelling with a dog is possible, if you’re determined. Hey, they travelled by bikes with a dog through South America!
For plenty of next-level dog-friendly travel inspiration, check out their story on how they got to see Machu Picchu while travelling with a dog and no car .
When You’re Travelling in the UK: The Pets Pyjamas
I was annoyed that I didn’t find out about The Pets Pyjamas until just after leaving the UK! Although initially also an online store with dog accessories, this site now specialises in dog-friendly accommodation bookings, mainly in the UK.
There’s a huge range of dog-friendly accommodation to choose from, and their concierge will take care of all the details for you. Best of all, there’s no extra dog fees, no matter what size your dog.
They’ve also got a blog, with great UK-centric articles, such as the best dog-friendly beaches in the UK .
When You’re Travelling in the USA: Go Pet Friendly
If you’re travelling to or within the USA with a dog any time soon, don’t miss visiting Go Pet Friendly and their Take Paws blog . There’s a huge searchable database of pet-friendly locations.
Back in 2017, the team and their dogs behind the website took a mega road-trip around the USA, visiting all 48 lower US states, and compiling the list of the most dog-friendly attraction in each state.
When You’re Up for some Hiking: You Did What With Your Weiner
Okay, I’m a bit biased when it comes to this site, as I’ve also got a Weiner Dog (or Dachshund). But hiking is one of the most fun things to do with your dog when you’re travelling, no matter how small they are.
YDWWYD (for short) has lots of tips for hiking with your dog, such as this guide to what you should pack when hiking with a dog . There’s also tips on camping and travelling, with a Northwestern US focus.
When You Want to Know The Best Gear: Dog Jaunt
Dog Jaunt is run by Mary-Alice from Seattle, who has a Cavalier. While there haven’t been any recent posts, the blog still contains a wealth of information, in particular on dog gear, both on and off the road.
Check out her very comprehensive guide on all the possible gear you should pack when travelling with a dog.
When You Like to Travel in Style: Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund
Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund is one of the most famous dogs around, and he has a big love of travelling. As well as travelling throughout Canada and the US, he’s also visited Caribbean Islands and Europe.
My favourite of his travel articles is from when he visited Cinque Terre , which of course I later made sure to visit with my dog, Schnitzel, when we also visited Italy.

Thank you for introducing such wonderful pet travel blogs! I have written several guest posts for GoPetfriendly:-) I have a travel blog and a part of it is focused on traveling with dogs (aka with Babu, our adorable Tibetan Spaniel Mix ) in California. Do have a look at https://yrofthemonkey.com/category/pets/

How about dog adventures in Australia?
Fiona – There’s not many blogs out there covering dog-friendly travel in Australia. (Something I’m hoping to add more of next year!) One website I’ve come across is puppytales.com.au, which has a great Instagram account that I follow. Let me know if you find any others!
Travelling with a dog isn’t easy but it’s definitely worth the effort. Thanks for helpful links. xxx
Agreed 100%!
Thank you for introducing such wonder ful pet travel blogs..!
You’re welcome, Petsfolio!
Nice list, I will check it out. Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks Anoop!
“Everything was put together perfectly. It’s difficult to say what was the best part of the article. It was all put together so well” Through your article, I visited one of the websites and go to know that you can travel with your pet in Canadian trains. I really wanted to travel on a train with my dog. Finally, I can travel with my buddy “Bruno”. Thanks
That’s great to hear Mike!
Thanks for the suggestion. Would visit You Did What With Your Weiner. Planning to go hiking with my poodle. I do need to prepare him and also I need to know what things I need to bring for him.
Great to hear! You Did What With Your Weiner is terrific for helping us small dog owners to hike with our dogs.
I always recommend using a professional when traveling with my dog. Pet Transport can be dangerous especially on flights. Pet Transport Pro is my go to service. Guy named Anthony is a must
Brendan – I believe it depends on what type flight and the experience of the pet owner. Certainly for shorter flights where you have previous experience, it’s fine to do yourself, but longer trips requiring cargo bookings are often best done with a pet transport company.
Thanks Romey!
Thanks For this helpful information about pet travel. It’s really inspiring. Keep writing and sharing more. Best wishes!
Thanks, I’m glad you found it inspiring!
Thank s for the pet friendly posts. Have you seen #Travelingtink – Tinkerbelle The Dog ?
No, I haven’t, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this very helpful list! We love to travel with our dogs ourselves and this will help us planning our international adventures even better.
We also recently started our own travel blog for Dutch pet owners at https://www.pawsandpassports.com where we write about our own adventures. Keep it up!
Thanks for sharing!
This was an enjoyable read and it looks like it’s been updated. I just started getting into the blogging life and looking for my niche. I think it is geared more toward traveling with the pets but more toward vanlife and hiking. I already started going down the rabbit hole but I think that means you are doing something right! 🙂
We have a few fur bags and my site is http://www.dirtbagswithfurbags.com

The Adventure of Dogs, Cars and Travel
Here are 21 quotes about dogs, cars and travel. If you've ever traveled with your dog, you know it can be an adventure. Or a headache. If your dog loves riding in the car, many of these quotations will have you smiling.
Dogs feel very strongly that they should always go with you in the car, in case the need should arise for them to bark violently at nothing right in your ear.
Dogs love to go for rides. A dog will happily get into any vehicle going anywhere.
I called our hotel but the response was "I'm sorry, sir. We've been booked up for months." With sudden inspiration, I called back.... This time I said, "Hello, this is Shana's human..." and this time the response was, "Oh yes, sir. Come on down. We always have a room for you." It really puts you in your place when your dog can get a hotel room, but you can't.
J. Emmett Black, Jr. , on how all the staff at a certain Holiday Inn knew his dog by name, but not him. Crime was reduced whenever Shana stayed there; she's a 120 pound Great Dane.
Did you ever notice when you blow in a dog's face he gets mad at you? But when you take him in a car he sticks his head out the window!
Steve Bluestone
Mrs. Campbell once attempted to smuggle her pet Pekingese through customs by tucking him inside the upper part of her cape. "Everything was going splendidly," she later remarked, "until my bosom barked."
Beatrice Stella Campbell
She's getting quite used to jumping into limos.
Sue Chipperton , trainer of Gidget, the Taco Bell commercial star Chihuahua
Like all celebrities, they've got a routine when on the road: first-class seat (always right side, second row, window), a stretch limo waiting, the finest suites and Evian water.
Todd Copilevitz , writing about Nipper and Chipper, the RCA Jack Russell terriers
My Scottie refused to go for a walk with a friend of the house, but she would joyously accompany any stranger who drove a car.
Mazo de la Roche
She never sat down in a car but stood, braced tense, facing the wind. Now and again she would turn her face toward me with an apologetic expression as though to say: "I have not forgotten that you are here but there are certain pleasures I cannot share with you." Her nose never ceased its sensitive quivering.
The Four Seasons Boston... in the rooms they provide their pet guests with a pet bed, dry food, and water. Also available is a special Pet Menu, which offers such items as grilled chicken and fresh corn for dogs.
Fran Golden
I won't leave Sweden without Ted. The dog is the closest thing in the world to me.
Lars Karlstrand , who turned down a lucrative contract to play for a Scottish soccer team due to the six month quarantine laws in the UK.
Number one way life would be different if dogs ran the world: All motorists must drive with head out window.
David Letterman
There are only two rules. One is from E. M. Forster's guide to Alexandria; the best way to know Alexandria is to wander aimlessly. The second is from the Psalms; grin like a dog and run about through the city.
When I started driving our old four-door green DeSoto, I always took Skip on my trips around town. I would get Skip to prop himself against the steering wheel, his black head peering out of the windshield, while I crouched out of sight under the dashboard. Slowing the car to ten or fifteen, I would guide the steering wheel with my right hand while Skip, with his paws, kept it steady. As we drove by the Blue Front Café, I could hear one of the men shout: "Look at that ol' dog drivin' a car!"
Willie Morris, My Dog Skip
Mutt enjoyed traveling by car, but he was an unquiet passenger. He suffered from the delusion, common to dogs and small boys, that when he was looking out the right-hand side, he was probably missing something far more interesting on the left-hand side.
Farley Mowat
I like driving around with my two dogs, especially on the freeways. I make them wear little hats so I can use the car-pool lanes.
Monica Piper
Charley is a mind-reading dog. There have been many trips in his lifetime, and often he has to be left at home. He knows we are going long before the suitcase has come out, and he paces and worries and whines and goes into a state of mild hysteria.
John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley , about his cross-country adventures with his poodle.
I've always thought a hotel ought to offer optional small animals. I mean a cat to sleep on your bed at night, or a dog of some kind to act pleased when you come in. You ever notice how a hotel room feels so lifeless?
Anne Tyler, The Accidental Tourist
I've been in the hotel business over thirty years. Never yet have I called the police to eject a disorderly dog during the small hours of the night. Never yet has a dog set the bedclothes afire from smoking a cigarette. I've never found a hotel towel or blanket in a dog's suitcase, nor whiskey rings on the bureau top from a dog's bottle. Sure the dog's welcome. P.S. If he'll vouch for you, come along too.
Unknown hotel manager's reply to a vacationer writing to ask if dogs were permitted.
I call the Crown Plaza Hotel and I say, you know, "I need a room. Do you have one?" and they say, "We don't have any rooms." I say, Well OK—I used the Oprah Winfrey thing. Now is the time to pull out the name. It's 2:30 in the morning. So I go in and I have my little doggies and the woman says to me, "I'm sorry, we don't take any dogs." By now it's 2:47. I'm in my pajamas with the dogs and I don't have a place to stay in Atlanta. So I say, "Well, do these look like dogs to you or do these look like little people with fur?" And she said they looked like dogs to her. So we were escorted out of the Crown Plaza Hotel.
Oprah Winfrey , on her trouble obtaining a hotel room with Solomon and Sophie, her American cocker spaniels. (If you're traveling to Atlanta soon, the hotel has changed its no-dogs policy.)
To a dog, motoring isn't just a way of getting from here to there, it's also a thrill and an adventure. The mere jingle of car keys is enough to send most any dog into a whimpering, tail-wagging frenzy.

40 Dog Quotes That Capture All the Reasons Dogs Are Special
Dog quotes that tug at your heartstrings.
U nconditional love. It’s the credo our dogs live by. They’re the most loyal friends we’ll ever have. Their love and affection know no limits—but it sure doesn’t hurt to sweeten the pot with a good belly rub or dog biscuit! Regardless of treats, dogs are there in times of joy, deep sorrow and everything in between. We shake our heads and laugh at their weird dog behavior , especially when the madcap dog zoomies hit. To celebrate our cherished pups, we gathered some of the best puppy quotes we could find. Fair warning, these dog quotes will make you laugh and cry—simultaneously at times!
“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring ― it was peace.” —Milan Kundera
“If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear a sweater, suggest that he wear a tail.” —Fran Lebowitz
“Petting, scratching and cuddling a dog could be as soothing to the mind and heart as deep meditation and almost as good for the soul as prayer.” — Dean Koontz , False Memory
“Yet in writing about your dogs, you very quickly realize that you are writing about all aspects of your life, because there isn’t really a part of it that the dogs don’t touch. 95 most inspirational travel quotes ever penned
Our favourite inspirational travel quotes have encouraged us to travel with abandon over the years. Perhaps they will do the same for you…
For us, there is no such thing as luxury travel; travel is, by default, a luxury. It is a privilege provided by the country of our birth, a privilege that many are not as fortunate to enjoy.
Sometimes, we have to pinch ourselves at just how ridiculous our lives have become: an ex-teacher and jobbing writer travelling the world for a living. It is absurd, it is astonishing, it is luxury.
When I first went travelling at 21 years old, my father gave me this quote scrawled on a piece of card.
It infused me with wanderlust. It encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone, make the most of my time, see the world and enjoy the freedom that comes with being on the road. It remains one of the most inspirational travel quotes I’ve read (even if Twain did not actually say it).
Today, 20 years and almost 100 countries later, it’s still in my wallet. Despite its tattered and dishevelled appearance, it’s every bit as important to me now as it was then.
With that in mind, we’ve collated our most beloved inspirational travel quotes to encourage readers to “explore, dream and discover” for themselves.

I grew up with a wonderful German Shepherd named Jake, who I loved SO much that I named my son after him. I'm also an avid reader AND a total TV fanatic.
