Through the last couple of years that the world was deprived of large-scale concerts and tours due to pandemic regulations, French EDM artist DJ Snake aka William Grigahcine had repeatedly mentioned that India would be one of the first countries he’d return to perform in once the situation eased.
Now, he’s kept that promise with the announcement of a six-city tour as part of concert series Sunburn Arena, starting November 18th in Ahmedabad and ending on November 27th in Bengaluru. The hitmaker behind songs like “Disco Maghreb,” “Taki Taki” and “Magenta Riddim” will also perform in Delhi NCR on November 19th, Hyderabad on November 20th, Pune on November 25th and Mumbai on November 26th. Tickets will go live on August 22nd, 2022 at 12pm, with prices starting ₹999 upwards.
The artist is no stranger to India at all, given that he’s toured the country multiple times and last performed in the end of 2019 at Sunburn’s annual festival edition in Goa. During the pandemic, DJ Snake also took on an Indian collaboration, remixing the Tamil song “Enjoy Enjaami” (by Dhee, Arivu and Santhosh Narayanan) for Spotify Singles. The artist said in a statement, “I am excited to be coming back to India. When I visited India during Holi 2019 and Sunburn Goa 2019, the energy and vibe was so upbeat and positive everywhere. It is always amazing to travel to different cities in India. The cultural exposure inspires my music and India certainly tops in that area.”
Snake told Rolling Stone India in a previous interview in 2021 about his visits to the country, “My Indian fans are super crazy and I love them. During this pandemic, they never stopped showing love on social media. There is a powerful connection between us and I don’t know, it’s hard to explain, but it’s magic. And it’s real. I feel the love and I think they feel it’s real, it’s organic, and I just can’t wait to be back.”
CEO of Sunburn Karan Singh said about the upcoming tour, “The pandemic put a temporary break on our Arena shows, but now we are back with some of the biggest names in the global music industry to entertain our fans pan India. Sunburn fans can look forward to an amazing hi-tech entertaining Arena experience this fall.”

The global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic brought life to a standstill in 2020. This also impacted the electronic dance music (EDM) industry in a big way. Music gigs had to be cancelled. With the suspension of visas for international tourists, festivals that had line-ups featuring international DJs were called off.
Thankfully, things have changed for the better over the last year. Movies are back on the big screen. Cultural events are back in full swing. So are music festivals. In what will come literally as music to the ears of electronic music lovers, French artist DJ Snake has announced a six-city tour of India in November. The renowned DJ will come to India as part of the Sunburn Arena concert series.
The Disco Maghreb star will perform in six cities. His first show will be in Ahmedabad on November 18. This will be followed by shows in Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi on November 19, 20, 21, and 26, respectively.
DJ Snake, on his Instagram handle, shared the news with his Indian fans. “INDIA 🇮🇳 I’M BACK !!! @sunburnfestival Tickets on sale on Monday, August 22nd,” he posted.
This is not the first time that DJ Snake will perform in India. He was in the country in 2019 for Sunburn’s annual fest in Goa . The artist finds India an amazing country in terms of its culture. His music is inspired by his exposure to different cultures. DJ Snake had also remixed the Tamil song Enjoy Enjaami during the pandemic.

DJ Snake announces his Six-City India Tour to be held November
EDM artist DJ Snake, aka William Grigahcine will perform in Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Bangalore, as part of Sunburn Arena.
Due to pandemic regulations, the world has been deprived of large-scale concerts and tours over the past couple of years. French EDM artist DJ Snake , also known as William Grigahcine, has consistently stated that India will be one of the first nations he returns to perform in once the situation improves.
Snake posted an update on Instagram with the caption:
“INDIA 🇮🇳 I’M BACK !!! @sunburnfestival Tickets on sale on Monday, August 22nd."
He has now fulfilled that promise by announcing a six-city tour as part of the Sunburn Arena concert series, which will begin on November 18 in Ahmedabad and end on November 27 in Bengaluru. The songwriter of popular songs like “ Disco Maghreb,” “Taki Taki,” and “Magenta Riddim” will also appear in Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi on November 19, 20, 21, and 26, respectively. Prices for tickets will range from 999 and up, and they will go on sale on August 22, 2022, at 12 p.m.
The musician has travelled to India numerous times, and he most recently performed here towards the end of 2019 as part of Sunburn’s annual event in Goa. In the midst of the pandemic, DJ Snake remixed the Tamil song “Enjoy Enjaami” (performed by Dhee, Arivu, and Santhosh Narayanan) for Spotify Singles. In a statement, DJ Snake said, “I am thrilled to be returning to India. I travelled to India in 2019 for Holi and Sunburn Goa, and wherever I went, the mood and atmosphere were so happy and positive. Travelling to various Indian cities is always exciting. My music is inspired by my exposure to culture, and India is perhaps the best in that regard.”
In an interview, Snake said, “My Indian fans are super crazy and I love them. During this pandemic, they never stopped showing love on social media. There is a powerful connection between us and I don’t know, it’s hard to explain, but it’s magic. And it’s real. I feel the love and I think they feel it’s real, it’s organic, and I just can’t wait to be back.”
CEO of Sunburn, Karan Singh said about the upcoming tour, “The pandemic put a temporary break on our Arena shows, but now we are back with some of the biggest names in the global music industry to entertain our fans pan India. Sunburn fans can look forward to an amazing hi-tech entertaining Arena experience this fall.”

https://twitter.com/djsnake/status/1560522999308046336
Billed as one of the “largest arena showcases to be witnessed in India” this year, the itinerary includes six shows across six major metros over a span of two weekends.
The French powerhouse will kick off his tour on 18th November in Ahmedabad followed by a show in Delhi NCR on 19th November and then jetting back to Hyderabad for the next show on 20th November. The tour will then head to Pune on 25th November, followed by Mumbai on 26th November, to finally wrap up in Bengaluru on 27th November.
The forthcoming showcase will witness the boundary-pushing disruptor interlace elements of traditional dance music with classic R&B and funk to create an anthemic electronic set and set the stage ablaze at these multi-city high-energy can’t-miss stadium performances.
He also shared a video posted video with glimpses from his last visit to India.
In the video, he was heard saying, “Namaste India, guess who is back?”

Born William Grigahcine, DJ Snake has always loved his time in India. He was in Mumbai in 2019 where he performed at the Sunburn Holi and returned later that year to perform at the Sunburn Festival Goa 2019.
DJ Snake shared his excitement, he said, “I am excited to be coming back to India. When I visited India during Holi 2019 and Sunburn Goa 2019, the energy and vibe was so upbeat and positive everywhere. It is always amazing to travel to different cities in India. The cultural exposure inspires my music and India certainly tops in that area.”
Karan Singh, the CEO of Sunburn states, “We are thrilled to announce a six-city Sunburn Arena tour with one of the world’s most popular artists DJ Snake. The pandemic put a temporary break on our Arena shows, but now we are back with some of the biggest names in the global music industry to entertain our fans pan India. Sunburn fans can look forward to an amazing hi-tech entertaining Arena experience this fall.” (ANI)

DJ Snake is a French producer at the forefront of the electronic music movement, having taken the genre to the charts with his 2013 single "Turn Down for What" featuring Lil Jon.
Born William Grigahcine, Snake's production work on Lady Gaga's 2011 effort Born This Way earned him a Grammy nod when it was nominated for Album of the Year in 2012. Also in 2012, he signed with Diplo's imprint Mad Decent and released the single "Bird Machine" on the label in 2013. The singles "Slow Down" and "Together" also arrived in 2013, along with more work for Lady Gaga on her ARTPOP album. His big break as a solo artist came late in the year when "Turn Down for What," featuring Lil Jon, arrived and became the most popular crossover trap hit since Baauer's "Harlem Shake."
In 2014 he collaborated with Dillon Francis on the single "Get Low," while 2015 saw him join MØ and Major Lazer on the worldwide hit "Lean On." In 2016, he delivered his debut album, Encore, which included the singles "Middle," featuring guest vocalist Bipolar Sunshine, and "Let Me Love You," featuring Justin Bieber.
In 2017 he became the first artist ever to perform on top of the historic Paris landmark the Arc de Triomphe.
In 2018 he dropped new music including Magenta Riddim and Taki Taki with Selena Gomez, Cardi B and Ozuna which topped Global Spotify chart for over a month giving Cardi B, Ozuna and Selena Gomez their first Global top spot position. DJ Snake will headline at Coachella in 2019.
Live reviews
William Grigahcine is far more recognisable internationally by the stage name DJ Snake. The French musician has achieved success in the genres of hip hop and electro. Despite also having an esteemed producing career, working alongside the likes of Lady Gaga and Major Lazer, Will still has time to get on the road and behind the decks to visit his global fanbase.
His live shows include the merging of his own successful singles with a variety of his collaborators' work, including a number of reworked Lady Gaga tracks which always go down well. The US crowds are also particularly receptive to his remix of British electro duo AlunaGeorge's 'You Know You Like It' which sounds as high quality as the recording. DJ Snake definitely has a synonymous coat of gloss that he applies to a lot of his production efforts and this consistency follows through live. He ends in the expected manner with 'Turn Down For What' an international hit with an easily recognisable chorus. A debut album is due at any moment and this is likely to only improve DJ Snake's fast growing reputation.

You may not know the name William Grigahcine, but chances are you probably know who DJ Snake is. They are one in the same person; the world recognized producer, mixer and DJ of the electronic music world. The French artist has worked with the likes of Diplo, Dillon Francis, and even Lady Gaga.
The great thing about DJ Snake’s live shows is the incorporation of a variety of different genres mixed together, unlike a lot of other electronic music performers who have a bit of a problem of their sets becoming tediously the same. There is a distinct difference in all of his sounds, bringing together a wide array of fans, since the genres cross over so much. Also, instead of having an annoying MC do all the hyping and talking, DJ Snake picks up the microphone instead. He is extremely personable in the sense that he speaks quite often to the crowd, even if it is very simple, it’s a nice change of pace from the MCs who say things for no reason and have a disconnect to the music. The crowd loves him, just as much as he obviously loves what he is doing up on that stage.
It wasn't organized properly and I totally understand. It was because of the huge crowd. We started off in the middle and went to the back as more and more DJ's performed. Dj Snake was pretty good but he performed only for like half an hour or so cause he was stuck in heavy traffic too. He has promised that he will make it up to us and I look forward to it. If I had to rate it , I would give it a 3 out of 5...
My friends and I got to the concert around 10 and only stayed until 12:30 because the music felt like it was on repeat and the DJs playing at that time (assuming Malaa and Mercer) were playing awful boring and repeative music we left because it was a waste.
Worst concert I have ever been to and I've been to plenty. We left before DJ Snake came on which was even more disappointing.
It was a gud show but he had come late and left early we request BookMyShow to give half of the money back .And there was no proper facility like they were no water. And u could have kept a support smoking as when they were smoking the smell was disturbing others
Worth it. I loved it! He's engaging and incredibly grateful for his fans. I loved the energy and the music, of course. I would definitely go see him again. I actually travelled four hours to watch him but like I said, totally worth it!
WHAT AN AWESOME SHOW !!!!!!
Whether you like his music or not, he brings hapiness in the crowd i guarrantee it.
There is a lot of energy, and the visuals effects are beautiful.
Ici c'est Paris.
Thanks for listening.
Dj Snake killed it at Pardon my French @pier94 his set was live he never fails to get the crowd hyped had to come and see him again since EDCNY16 wish I could of heard Sober thou but over a get night!
Timing was very bad as it was prescheduled. But management was vey bad. Artist their best but all gone in vain. No facility were their. People were mad in the sun light with water anywhere.
Pretty textbook set, but it seems like that was what the crowd wanted so hey, he's doing his job. Still had fun though, you can always get wild insomniac events.

Megan thee stallion goes nude for women's health, revisits tory lanez saga, megan thee stallion birthday suit for magazine spread ... talks tory lanez, music, etc..
Megan Thee Stallion stripped down for her latest magazine cover -- and while the pictures are grabby in and of themselves ... there's a lot of substance in the actual interview as well.
The rapper debuted on the latest cover of Women's Health Wednesday, showing off her toned body -- which she says is owed to swapping whole meals for smoothies ... nixing soda and juice and switching from cognac to tequila.
Of course, she also says she works out a ton, and that's evident from these gorgeous shots.
Meg says before weights became her saving grace in the gym, she felt a lot of pressure from the outside world ... this after being shot by Tory Lanez in July 2020 -- for which he was convicted -- and constantly being bombarded with hate mail from people calling her a liar.
According to Meg, having a darker complexion placed a stereotype on her ... and she says she was subject to racism and colorism online during that whole saga.
Despite everything she went through, though, Meg says she's in a much better place now.
She already landed a No. 1 record this year, thanks to her short-lived spat with Nicki Minaj and says her best songs come from writing in the shower. That might explain why she likes being in the nude as much as she does ... not that any of us are complaining!
Anyway, really insightful stuff from this sit-down ... and definitely worth a read (and a peek).
