Shinedown announce Planet Zero European tour

Shinedown line up five UK shows as part of a 19-date European trek this November to support upcoming album Planet Zero

Jacksonville metallers Shinedown have announced a 19-date European tour to celebrate the band's Planet Zero album, which is released on July 1. 

The run of dates dates will kick off at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels on November 7, and climax at the Black Box Ice Hall in Helsinki on December 9. The UK leg of the tour starts at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff on November 26, and finishes at the OVO Arena Wembley on December 1. 

“We have always been inspired by the UK and European audiences," booms band frontman Brent Smith . "Their passion for music is extraordinary. We are beyond excited to be returning as headliners, with our biggest show yet! We are overwhelmed by the love and support of our new album,  Planet Zero  and look forward to sharing our new songs, along with all of your Shinedown favourites! Cheers!”

The band will also be in Europe for a series of festival shows this summer, including a Download date tomorrow (June 11), before heading back to North America for a long run of shows. Full dates below. Tickets are on sale now .

Shinedown Add Spring 2022 Tour Dates With The Pretty Reckless + Diamante

Shinedown will be plenty busy in 2022, having already announced shows in North America to kickoff the year and a summer trek in Europe. Now comes word that they'll fill part of the time in between this spring with a headlining run that also features The Pretty Reckless and Diamante .

"The Revolution's Live" tour will get underway April 1 in Spokane, hitting 24 stops along the way before winding down on May 7 in Knoxville. The group has also signed on for Welcome to Rockville, which will also take place a couple of weeks later on May 21 in Daytona Beach.

As stated, this will be the band's second major run across the U.S. and Canada in 2022, with dates set for January and February with Ayron Jones and Pop Evil providing support. Those dates are listed below as well.

The newly announced tour dates will be available to fan club members first with a pre-sale starting tomorrow (Dec. 14) at 10AM local time. A venue and radio pre-sale will follow on Dec. 15 at 10AM local time, with the general public on-sale starting Dec. 17 at 10AM local time. Shinedown are currently between album, having recently earned a gold certification from the RIAA for their most recent release, 2018's ATTENTION ATTENTION album. They have been working on new music of late, with Brent Smith recently revealing a more raw direction for the record, calling some of what they will present to fans as being "controversial." An official release date and details for the new album have not been revealed as of yet.

The Jacksonville rockers will call at Cardiff, Manchester, Nottingham and more as part of their 'Planet Zero World Tour'

American rock band Shinedown have confirmed UK and European dates for their 2022 Planet Zero World Tour . Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 17 June.

The 'Second Chance' outfit have lined up European dates including performances in Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Milan and Prague before they head to the UK in November.

They'll kick off the UK leg of the trek at Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena on Saturday 26 November before calling at the O2 Apollo in Manchester the following evening. On Tuesday 29 November they'll perform at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham.

The last two shows lined up in the tour are Glasgow's O2 Academy on Wednesday 30 November and a massive gig at London's Wembley Arena on Thursday 1 December.

The shows come in support of their upcoming album Planet Zero which is set for release on Friday 1 July and rock giants Asking Alexandria and Zero 9:36 have been drafted to open the gigs.

Tour supports forthcoming studio album of same name

Shinedown has announced the UK and European leg of their Planet Zero World Tour , set to arrive on shores in November 2022. Tickets go on general sale on Friday, June 17th at 10 am local time via Ticketmaster .

The last time the Florida band were in the region was in 2019 when they recorded their O2 Arena show for the spectacular Live In London concert film.

Meanwhile, the group’s hotly-anticipated seventh studio album, Planet Zero arrives on July 1st via Atlantic Records. The collection serves up an incisive look at society’s issues at hand: cancel culture running rampant, the corrosive effects of social media on mental health and society and the increasingly toxic division among those of differing ideologies. Featuring Shinedown’s explosive sound and incisive lyrics, the title track “Planet Zero” arrives with a dystopian warning of the consequences when we start to lose our compassion for one another and respect for those with alternate viewpoints or differing opinions.

The Planet Zero World Tour begins in Bonner Springs, KS on September 3rd, kicking off a 20-date US run of fall shows that will see the record-breaking, chart-topping band bring their new music, No. 1 hits, fan favorites and biggest stage show yet to cities from coast to coast in support of Planet Zero . This leg of the Planet Zero World Tour also includes festival performances at Louder Than Life on September 23rd in Louisville, KY and Aftershock on October 9th in Sacramento, CA.

The group has already hit the road in the US in support of the new collection, with their biggest stage production yet. The band is currently in the UK for festival appearances at Download Festival, a Belfast show with metal legends Iron Maiden, as well as sets at Hellfest in France and Graspop in Belgium.

Floridian rockers Shinedown have announced a five-date UK tour for November and December 2022.

The UK leg of the Planet Zero World Tour opens at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on Saturday 26th November and calls in at Manchester O2 Apollo, Nottingham Motorpoint Arena and Glasgow O2 Academy before closing at London OVO Arena Wembley on Thursday 1st December 2022.

British metalcore merchants Asking Alexandria and Pennsylvanian rapper Zero 9:36 are the special guests at all five dates.

Shinedown Announce Additional 2022 Tour Dates

Shinedown are lengthening their 2022 tour roster with fall dates, featuring support from Jelly Roll and John Harvie

Shinedown have just announced a slew of new 2022 tour dates, adding to their already packed roster. The longstanding rockers had added a new tour leg for late summer and early fall to promote their new album, “Planet Zero.”

The tour leg will offer support from Jelly Roll and John Harvie and kick off Sept. 3 in Kansas City, Missouri, and wrapping up Oct. 8 in Anaheim, California. Shinedown will also appear Oct. 9 at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California. View the full list of new tour dates below.

Tickets for the dates go on sale to the general public starting Friday (March 25) at 10 a.m. local venue time. Artist, venue and radio station pre-sales are happening now. For ticket information, head to Shinedown’s official website.

Shinedown have already been on the road a great deal in 2022, first playing gigs with support from Pop Evil and Ayron Jones. The band’s second tour leg will kick off April 1 in Spokane, Washington, and feature support from The Pretty Reckless and Diamante. Then, in June, the group will embark on a tour in the U.K. and Europe. Finally, Shinedown’s third U.S. tour leg of 2022 will set off in July with Pop Evil and Ayron Jones supporting, followed by the newly announced fourth U.S. leg.

Epic concert, awesome performance at a great theater. it was insanely hot but by the water Jones Beach kept cool. Brent sand awesomely but I was a bit disappointed by the lack of songs from the new album. They sang Get Up but that was it. They also only sang their most popular songs but almost none from their first few albums and none at all that weren’t their most famous. I would’ve liked to hear some more somgs that weren’t as popular as I’ve heard them many times. It was great that they coheadlined with godsmack as they put on a kickass performance also. They really create the classic rock atmosphere with their fans. The crowd was on fire from shinedown and godsmack kept it alive. It also seemed to me that Brent’s voice sounded slightly different, maybe it was mechanized or something because it sounded higher pitched. I’m gusssing he lost his voice over the tour and had to compensate, better that than cancel the show, this was also the last show of the first leg so they’re taking a break. Altogether best concert I’ve ever been.

I really had a great evening, this was my first time seeing them live and they were a lot better than I expected. Brent did talk a lot during songs, sometimes telling us things about the band that were sort of necessary but other times it almost seemed like he kept talking just so he wouldn’t have to play. I was also shocked to realise only 3 songs of their new album were performed; Attention Attention (the album title as well as a song) wasn’t even played, and instead they relied on material from the early 2000’s which I was unfamiliar with (I only know their last two albums in depth). The crowd loved it and could all sing along (so maybe it was my fault for not recognising as much) but I am still confused why the band came on stage with the start of Attention Attention playing and to not even perform that song on stage. Brent wore a jacket with the ‘!’ of the album cover which was also featured on the drums so it all seemed that the evening would be full of new material and still they didn’t go into their new album as much as I’d hoped, they did about 3 songs each from each record. This doesn’t mean I didn’t have a great time, on the contrary, but it didn’t make sense to me that the new album had come out months ago and 75% of what they played was old material.

I love listening to Shinedown's music and I bought Attention Attention. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 was my first time to see Shinedown live in concert. They did not disappoint me. All four band members were full of energy on stage and very engaged with the entire audience (or so it seemed - that's how good they are.) They also sound as good live as they do on their albums which is often not the case with many bands. And the bass player and lead guitar player sang backup and their harmony was spot on. The lead singer briefly explained the meaning behind some of their songs. He also walked onto the floor several times and interacted with the audience on the upper decks and the crowd was very polite and gave him room to perform. Their light show is also very good. Lots of laser lights and designs. The only complaint I might have is there was too much smoke used and at this particular venue it became overwhelming to some. I liked Shinedown live in concert so much, I am purchasing tickets to see them again in a August with Godsmack. Shinedown is phenomenal live!!

SHINEDOWN Cancels European Dates Due To 'Economic And Logistical Side Of Touring'

SHINEDOWN has canceled its previously announced fall 2022 dates in continental Europe due to "economic and logistical side of touring".

On Wednesday (October 19), SHINEDOWN released the following statement via social media: "To our friends in Europe -- we wanted to give you a message directly from the 4 of us in the band.

"As most of you know, we're not a band who cancels shows, we can think of maybe twice that we've done it in our 20 year career. That's what makes this decision very difficult.

"We were very much looking forward to touring Europe with our friends ASKING ALEXANDRIA and ZERO 9:36 . Alas, the economic and logistical side of touring currently in Europe are growing too heavy for us to be able to make this feasible at this present time. With that being said, we've made this difficult yet necessary decision.

"We can't put into words how much it sucks to have to cancel shows. We're very much looking forward to coming back very soon and making this up to you.

"Our goal as a band has always been to come over to Europe and bring the show that you all see on videos and photos from what we've been able to build in other parts of the world. We will still strive to do just that.

"To our friends in the U.K., we will still be able to make these shows happen and are very much looking forward to them.

"These decisions are never made lightly especially with this band. We love you and we loe touring Europe, and we WILL be back!

SHINEDOWN 's European tour was set to launch on November 7 in Brussels, Belgium and conclude on December 9 in Helsinki, Finland. Among the canceled shows are those in Paris, France; Cologne, Germany; Berlin, Germany; Tilburg, Netherlands; Offenbach, Germany; Zurich, Switzerland; Milan, Italy; Munich, Germany; Prague, Czech Republic; Warsaw, Poland; Copenhagen, Denmark; Oslo, Norway and Stockholm, Sweden.

SHINEDOWN 's U.K. dates with ASKING ALEXANDRIA and ZERO 9:36 will kick off on November 26 in Cardiff and conclude on December 1 in London.

Financial issues are continuing to wreak havoc on the touring industry, with the economics of the business simply not adding up.

Acts of all sizes are canceling or postponing shows, with several claiming that it was "not sustainable" for them to go ahead with the tours.

For many midsized acts, ticket sales are not even enough to cover their overheads.

ANTHRAX recently canceled shows in continental Europe as part of its fall 2022 touring activities, citing "ongoing logistical issues" and "costs that are out of our control."

In a recent interview with BLABBERMOUTH.NET , bassist Frank Bello elaborated on ANTHRAX 's decision to scrap the European gigs and forge ahead with only the United Kingdom dates.

"When was the last time we canceled a European tour?" asked Fran k. "We've never done it. The god's honest truth: Everything budgeting-wise is insane right now. We budgeted it last year and came back to this year with the gas lines and all the shit that's going on. It was three times the budget. We would have gone into a bad deficit, horrible. And the promoters are saying, 'It doesn't make sense for you guys to do it.' The buses, just life in general. It's horrible. We were able to salvage the U.K. But people know us. They know we'll be back. We love it there. I can't wait to go back. It's just a bummer that life is in the way of metal. [Laughs] What's going on in the world is in the way of metal and making people feel good with our music.

"We've been away," he continued. "We just did the BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and HATEBREED tour [in the U.S.] and we got the taste back. We were looking forward to the next leg, the U.K., then right into Europe. We're used to touring a few months at a time. Then our manager comes, 'We can't do this with the accounting.' It's like, 'What? How did this happen?' Then you read the papers and you understand. It's terrible."

Shinedown European Tour CANCELED: Reason for Postponement Revealed

Shinedown has been touring throughout 2022 and many fans didn't expect their recent announcement as they revealed that they won't be continuing their scheduled shows in Europe.

Sharing their official statement online, the band explained that they are not the type of people who would cancel shows, and throughout their 20-year career, they only postponed twice.

However, it's heartbreaking for them to announce that they will not push through with their shows in Europe. The main reason behind their decision is because of the "economic and logistical side of touring" which is heavy for them that's why it's not currently feasible.

Shinedown is looking forward to performing in several cities across the continent soon as their goal has always been playing there because many fans have been anticipating their appearance.

The band was supposed to kick off their European leg in Brussels, Belgium, on November 7. Some of the canceled tours are in Paris, Berlin, Tilburg, Offenbach, Milan, Copenhagen, Oslo, Warsaw, Prague, Munich, Stockholm, and many more.

They were set to end their show in Helsinki, Finland, on December 9.

Shinedown Gives Fans a Ray of Hope

Despite canceling all their European tour dates, their shows in the United Kingdom will push through. Their special guests would be Zero 9:36 and Asking Alexandria.

Shinedown also has a treat for fans as they announced the official release date of their music video "Daylight."

Visuals for the song will premiere on Friday, October 21 at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT on their official YouTube channel. They encourage fans to join early for the official countdown and a quick chat with other supporters.

The group isn't the only music act struggling from the effects of economic and logistical issues as Tobias Forge of Ghost announced the delay  of their tour.

Just one 2022 tour wasn’t enough for Shinedown .

The hard-rocking group returns to the road with The Pretty Reckless and Diamante on a 25-concert Revolution’s Live Tour this spring .

Then, in September, Shinedown will go on a Planet Zero World Tour alongside special guests John Harvie and Jellyroll, the band announced this week.

Shinedown has two New Jersey concerts scheduled: Sept. 10 at Holmdel’s PNC Bank Arts Center and Sept. 11 at Camden’s Waterfront Music Pavilion.

Where can I buy tickets to see Shinedown?

It depends on the tour.

Tickets for The Revolution’s Live Tour are available on all ticketing platforms including StubHub , Vivid Seats , Ticketmaster , SeatGeek and MegaSeats .

However, tickets for Shinedown’s Planet Zero World Tour don’t go on sale to the general public until Friday, March 25 at 10 a.m. local time.

If you don’t want to wait until then, you can find seats right now for all of their concerts on Vivid Seats , TicketCity and MegaSeats .

It’s common for speculative tickets to show up on the secondary market first, but be aware that prices may be more expensive than when they go on sale to the general public.

How much are tickets to see Shinedown in New Jersey?

At the time of publication, general admission passes for the Sept. 10 show at Holmdel’s PNC Bank Arts Center start at $53 before fees on Vivid Seats .

The lowest price we could find on general admission pass lawn seating for the Sept. 11 concert at Camden’s Waterfront Music Pavilion were also on Vivid Seats for $53 before fees .

All prices are subject to fluctuation.

Where is Shinedown going on tour?

Starting April 1, Shinedown’s Revolution’s Live Tour will kick off in Spokane, Washington . On that run, the group will hit notable locales like Green Bay (April 8) , Baltimore (April 20) and Nashville (May 4) .

In June and July, lead singer Brent Smith and co. will head north for concerts in Canada and then across the Atlantic Ocean for a one-off with metal legends Iron Maiden in Great Britain on June 13 .

Finally, they’ll launch their 19-show Planet Zero World Tour on Sept. 3 in Bonner Springs, Kansas . Huge concerts on this leg of the tour include performances in Syracuse (Sept. 17) , Charlotte (Sept. 26) and Phoenix (Oct. 7) .
