Diablo 4 Season 3: All Seasonal Journey Rewards And Objectives

Completing the Seasonal Journey in Diablo 4 Season 3 will reward legendary aspects and rare materials.

By James Carr on January 23, 2024 at 3:22PM PST

Diablo 4 Season 3, Season of the Construct, has arrived, bringing fresh content to the dungeon crawler. Among the new content is the Seasonal Journey, which offers battle pass XP and other rewards for completing different milestones in the new season. While you will need to roll a new character to participate, the journey objectives are tailored to match the activities you do as you level up to 100 for the new season. Before you can move onto the next chapter of Seasonal Journey objectives, you will need to complete a certain number of objectives, which varies from chapter to chapter. Below you can find each chapter's objectives and rewards for Season 3 of Diablo 4.

Slayer (Chapter 5)

Champion (chapter 6), destroyer (chapter 7).

Each chapter offers unique rewards for completing them.

You must complete 6/8 objectives to complete this chapter.

Chapter 1 objectives:

  • Beneath The Sands: Complete 1 Dungeon in Kehjistan
  • Trouble In The Wilds: Complete 2 World Events
  • Test Of Mettle: Defeat 5 elite monsters
  • Eerie Harvest: Collect 15 Lifesbane, found only in Kehjistan
  • Waste Not: Salvage 10 Magic items at the Blacksmith
  • Soulless Threat: Defeat 100 Constructs, available after completing or skipping the campaign
  • Inauguration Of Power: Equip 1 Governing Stone to your Construct, available after completing or skipping the campaign
  • Tiny Clarity: Upgrade your Potion to Tiny at the Alchemist

Pretty much all of these objectives should be completed naturally by just playing the seasonal content. The only one that might not and could be skipped is the Trouble in the Wilds , if you choose to ignore world events as you go from objective to objective.

Chapter 1 rewards:

  • Greater Favor (battle pass XP)
  • First Journey Cache, contains Governing Stones, Tuning Stones, Shattered Stone and Iron Chunks
  • Aspect of Sundered Ground (Barbarian)
  • Virulent Aspect (Druid)
  • Shattered Spirit's Aspect (Necromancer)
  • Resistant Assailant's Aspect (Rogue)
  • Aspect of Shredding Blades (Sorcerer)

Chapter 2 objectives:

  • Ruins Reclaimed: Clear 1 Stronghold
  • Undertaker: Complete 4 Cellars
  • Finer Clarity: Upgrade your Potion to Minor at the Alchemist
  • Path To Strength: Unlock 6 Aspects in the Codex of Power, such as through completing Dungeons
  • Susurration: Open 1 Silent Chest, found randomly in Sanctuary, with a Whispering Key from the Purveyor of Curiosities
  • Wellspring Of Power: Acquire 4 Governing Stones, available after completing or skipping the campaign
  • Lapidarist Novice: Craft 1 Uncertain Seneschal Stone Cache at the Jeweler
  • A Master At Work: Complete 3 World Events with Mastery

Again, most of these objectives should come naturally as you complete the seasonal quests and activities. Susurration is a good one to skip, since Silent Chests appear randomly and there is no guaranteed way to find one.

Chapter 2 rewards:

  • Greater Favor
  • Second Journey Cache, contains Governing Stones, Tuning Stones, and Scattered Prisms
  • Devilish Aspect (Barbarian)
  • Aspect of the Alpha (Druid)
  • Aspect of Exposed Flesh (Necromancer)
  • Infiltrator's Aspect (Rogue)
  • Aspect of Frozen Orbit (Sorcerer)

You must complete 9/11 objectives to complete this chapter.

Chapter 3 objectives:

  • Touching The Eternal: Unlock 13 Aspects in the Codex of Power, such as though completing Dungeons
  • Champion Of The Lost: Clear 3 Strongholds
  • Grim Claim: Obtain 10 Caches from the Tree of Whispers by completing Whispers
  • Play For Keeps: Defeat Malphas, Keeper of the Vault, available after completing or skipping the campaign
  • Expert Deconstruction: Defeat 50 Elite Constructs, available after completing or skipping the campaign
  • Kill The Messengers: Defeat 9 Vault Heralds summoned at Braziers, available after completing or skipping the campaign
  • Plexus Array: Acquire 14 Tuning Stones, available after completing or skipping the campaign
  • Exceptional Potency: Upgrade your potion to Light at the Alchemist
  • Zoltun's Judgment: Acquire Zoltun's Warding by spending a Pearl of Warding at any Statue of Zoltun Kulle, available after completing or skipping the campaign
  • Battle Hardened: Reach level 35
  • Predator And Prey: Defeat 100 Monsters while Bloodmarked in Hostile areas

The two best objectives to skip in this chapter are Predator And Prey and Touching The Eternal . The first one requires you to participate in the PvP area, something you are otherwise never required to do and might not want to do. The second one requires you complete 13 different dungeons, which isn't particularly hard, but depending on the Aspects you need for your build, you might not care to complete that many.

Chapter 3 rewards:

  • Third Journey Cache, contains Pearls of Warding, Governing Stones, Tuning Stones and Legendary Salvage.
  • Aspect of Limitless Rage (Barbarian)
  • Aspect of the Dark Howl (Druid)
  • Blood Getter's Aspect (Necromancer)
  • Ravager's Aspect (Rogue)
  • Everliving Aspect (Sorcerer)

You need to complete 9/11 objectives to complete this chapter.

Chapter 4 objectives:

  • Quelled Hatred: Purify 1,000 Seeds of Hatred obtained in Hostile areas at an Altar of Extraction
  • The Bigger They Are: Defeat 1 World Boss
  • Hard Fought Victory: Complete 1 Legion Event
  • Scouring The Vaults: Complete 10 Vaults
  • Zoltun's Prize: Unlock 10 Wardwoven Chests by preserving Zoltun's Warding
  • Turning The Tide: Defeat 30 Vault Heralds summoned at Braziers
  • Facing Dark Terrors: Complete 1 Nightmare Vault
  • Harnessing Nightmares: Craft 1 Vault Sigil at the Occultist
  • Guilt: Defeat Echo of Varshan in World Tier 3, summoned beneath the Tree of Whispers with materials from Whisper Caches
  • Grim Reward: Obtain 20 Caches from the Tree of Whispers by completing Whispers
  • Beginning Of The End: Reach Level 55

Quelled Hatred is the PvP objective in this list, so once again, it's good to skip if that isn't for you. Another good one to skip would be either The Bigger They Are or Hard Fought Victory . Both Legion Events and World Bosses spawn based on real-world timers, so you might just not be playing when these events are happening. Legion Events happen more frequently than World Bosses.

Chapter 4 rewards:

  • Fourth Journey Cache, contains Pearls of Warding, Governing Stones, and Tuning Stones.
  • Aspect of Encroaching Wrath (Barbarian)
  • Aspect of Nature's Savagery (Druid)
  • Aspect of Serration (Necromancer)
  • Snap Frozen Aspect (Rogue)
  • Aspect of Frozen Memories (Sorcerer)

Chapter 5 objectives:

  • Blessing Of The Strong: Equip Sacred Legendary item in every slot
  • Prophecy Pluripotent: Open Tortured Gifts of 3 different types during a single Helltide
  • Heads Of The Snake: Defeat 6 Helltide Commanders during a Helltide
  • Vanquishing Hell's Best: Defeat 100 Champion Monsters
  • Overcoming Terrors: Complete 20 Nightmare Vaults
  • Zoltun's Bounty: Unlock 30 Wardwoven Chests by preserving Zoltun's Warding
  • Lapidarist Proficient: Craft 50 Uncertain Seneschal Stone Caches at the Jeweler
  • Seneschal Ascendant: Advance 1 Tuning Stone to Rank 10
  • Confronting Ancestral Terror: Complete a Tier 21 or higher Nightmare Dungeon
  • Shock And Awe: Defeat Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint in World Tier 4
  • Invasion Of Privacy: Rummage through Wardwoven Chests until you have read all of Zoltun Kulle's journal entries

The vast majority of objectives in this chapter feed into each other, but there are two you can probably skip. Shock And Awe requires you to defeat Grigoire , who is a pretty tough boss for the power level you will likely be at for this chapter. Confronting Ancestral Terror is also good to maybe skip, since you might not be strong enough to beat a dungeon of this level before completing the rest of these objectives.

Chapter 5 rewards:

  • Slayer's Cache, contains late game resources, Governing stones, Tuning Stones, Pearls of Warding, and Ancestral Legendary Items
  • Aspect of Adaptability (all classes)
  • Juggernaut's Aspect (all classes)
  • Seneschal Ideogram, Emblem

You must complete 8/10 objectives to complete this chapter.

Chapter 6 objectives:

  • Heir To Transcendence: Equip Ancestral Legendary items in every slot
  • Veteran Of Ashes: Acquire 6,666 Aberrant Cinders during Helltides
  • Harbinger Of Ice: Defeat The Beast in the Ice in World Tier 4, summoned with Distilled Fear from Tier 30 or higher Nightmare Dungeons
  • Forgiveness: Defeat Lord Zir in World Tier 4, summoned in Fractured Peaks with Exquisite Blood from World Bosses or Legion Events
  • Keeper Of Nothing: Defeat Echo of Malphas in World Tier 4, summoned in the Vault of the Loom with Pearls of Warding and Shattered Stone materials
  • Zoltun's Treasures: Unlock 50 Wardwoven Chests by preserving Zoltun's Warding
  • Panoply Of Power: Acquire all 12 Governing Stones
  • Plexus Arsenal: Acquire 25 Tuning Stones
  • Mephisto's Bane: Purify 33,333 Seeds of Hatred obtained in Hostile areas at an Altar of Extraction
  • Bastion Of Humanity: Reach Level 90

Mephisto's Bane is another PvP challenge, which makes it an easy skip. For the other one, choose either Harbinger Of Ice or Forgiveness . Depending on the activities you choose to do in Diablo 4, you might have the materials to summon one of the bosses but not the other.

Chapter 6 rewards:

  • Champion's Cache, contains late game resources, Scattered Prisms, Shattered Stone, Pearls of Warding, and Ancestra Legendary Items

You must complete 9/11 objectives to complete this season.

Chapter 7 objectives:

  • Exterminator: Defeat Echo of Duriel in World Tier 4, summoned in Kehjistan with materials from Grigoire and Varshan
  • Avatar Of Sanctuary's Might: Equip at least 8 Ancestral Unique item simultaneously
  • Glyphmaster: Improve 5 Paragon Glyphs to Rank 15 by completing Nightmare Dungeons
  • Seneschal Supremacy: Equip 4 different types of Legendary Tuning Stones that are Rank 10 to your Construct
  • Blessed Mother Departed: Defeat Echo of Lilith in World Tier 4, remembered in Nevesk
  • Not All Who Wander: Defeat 5 Seething Abomination while Bloodmarked in Hostile areas
  • Master Of The Vaults: Complete 1 Tier 90 Nightmare Vault
  • Lootmaster: Open 10 Tortured Gifts during a single Helltide in World Tier 4
  • Death Comes For Us All: Defeat the World Boss, The Wandering Death twice, in World Tier 4
  • Treasures Of The Damned: Defeat the World Boss, Avarice the Gold Cursed, in World Tier 4
  • Unyielding Scourge: Defeat the World Boss, Ashava the Pestilent, in World Tier 4

All of these challenges are difficult, endgame-level difficulty, so picking which ones to skip can be tricky. It really depends on your build and gear, but Avatar Of Sanctuary's Might will require grinding bosses, like Duriel, multiple times to actually get enough unique gear. Blessed Mother Departed requires you to beat a max level Echo of Lilith, which requires you to have a well put together build and great gear.

Chapter 7 rewards:

  • Demon's player title
  • Whisper player title
  • Destroyer's Cache, contains an amount of Shattered Stone and Pearls of Warding
  • Malphas Image emblem

Overview of Season Journey in Diablo 3

The Season Journey is a set of tasks and objectives for players to complete that helps to guide and frame the flow of seasonal play for new and returning players alike.

  • 1. Seasons in Diablo 3
  • 2. The Season Journey for Season 28
  • 3. The Final Chapter Rewards

Seasons in Diablo 3

Seasons in Diablo last approximately 3 months and allow players to progress through the grind of the game with a fresh start; all gold, items, and characters from the non-seasonal side of the game are not carried over and players must level a new character from Level 1.

The Season Journey for Season 28

The Season Journey allows players to complete a set number of tasks to obtain rewards for that season, including cosmetic rewards (such as pets, portraits, and wings) and practical rewards (additional storage space and full sets for the season).

It can be one of the fastest ways for a player to gear up at the start of the season and grants players with a guaranteed full set of gear, according to the designated set for that season.

There are 4 main chapters that can be completed, which will grant the set pieces, followed by additional extra sets of objectives that will "upgrade" the visual of that season's portrait frame and grant extra rewards.

The sets for Season 27 are as follows:

  • Barbarian Horde of the Ninety Savages fresh 70 starter build
  • Crusader Aegis of Valor fresh 70 starter build
  • Demon Hunter Gears of Dreadlands fresh 70 starter build
  • Monk Patterns of Justice fresh 70 starter build
  • Necromancer Masquerade of the Burning Carnival fresh 70 starter build
  • Witch Doctor Mundunugu's Regalia fresh 70 starter build
  • Wizard Typhon's Veil fresh 70 starter build

Completing the Season Journey

To complete the main 4 chapters, there is a fastest route that you can follow every season with very minor adjustments depending on your group and the season.

To get your class set as fast as possible in Season 27, you should follow the list below:

  • Level to 70, following the steps that we outline in our Season Start guide. This will make sure that you obtain Kanai's Cube and the materials necessary.
  • Once you are at Level 70, create a game for your group on Master difficulty and do a full clear of the bounties in Acts I to V. Save the boss bounties for last so that you can group up to do them, as it may be somewhat challenging for some classes to do solo.
  • Once you have completed and collected all of the bounty caches from Tyrael, you will need to check and ensure that you have killed the bosses required for the journey. If the named bounties in your game did not include the required bosses, go to them directly and kill them.
  • Once you have done this, complete the other objectives remaining in each chapter, such as equipping your followers and crafting gear. You should be able to complete all the objectives in Chapters 1, 2, and 3 without leaving town. If you need a follower token to gear your follower fully, simply craft one at the Blacksmith.
  • Once you have all completed these chapters and have your 4-set bonuses from the gear rewards, put the game at Torment IV difficulty and kill the Keywardens in each act. There is one in each of the first 4 acts.
  • Once this is done, go together to the two named bosses in the journey and kill them both.
  • The final thing to do as a group is clear a Nephalim Rift on Torment IV. This will give each of you the Greater Rift Keystone that you need for the next step, as well as unlock Greater Rift Level 20.
  • Split up and complete a Greater Rift Level 20 solo and, once complete, you should be able to finish the chapter in town and get the final pieces of your set.

Extended Seasonal Journey

Once you have completed the main 4 chapters, you will be able to "enlist" in the extended journey by navigating to the Season Journey page in-game.

The majority of it is much of the same as we completed in the first chapters, but there are some notable new additions that are worth highlighting.

Set Dungeons

The Slayer chapter will ask you to complete a "Set Dungeon". These are dungeons that are designed for players to complete using a certain set for their class, with special objectives.

For this chapter, you will simply have to complete the set dungeon, rather than mastering it, which is required in the following chapter, Champion. The difference is that, to complete a set dungeon, you only have to complete the main objectives, while mastering it requires you to complete the bonus objectives and clear the dungeon of all mobs.

You can find links to all of our set dungeon guides in the class menus at the top of the page.

Conquests are specific tasks that rotate between seasons for players to complete, with a varying focus on different styles of play: some require speed, while others focus more on skill, and even the occasional drop of luck.

Each season, a certain set of conquests is available for players to complete. The conquests for Season 27 are as follows, along with links to our guides for each:

  • Sprinter/Speed Racer
  • Avarice/Avaritia
  • Boss Mode/Worlds Apart
  • The Thrill/Superhuman
  • Masters of the Universe/Masters of Sets

The Destroyer chapter requires you to complete 1 conquest for one of the objectives, while Conqueror requires 2, and Guardian requires 3.

The Final Chapter Rewards

The final chapter, Guardian, rewards players with a unique pet and portrait frame, as shown below.

Season Journey Guide Season 30

Last Updated: January 15th 2024

Season 30 is upon us and we all know that means one thing, another Season Journey to accomplish! In this guide we explain what the Season Journey is and how you can complete it to obtain its amazing rewards. To find the Season Journey click the progress tab on the Main Menu screen or click the Map Icon in the upper right of your interface while in game. This can only be completed once per region, per Season but the array of rewards that come with it are well worth your time. The Season Journey is a great way to get your Season going as it provides a framework for building up a character to become stronger and provides the player with a full 6 piece Class Set after finishing the first 4 Chapters.

Haedrig's Gift

When going through your Season Journey you'll find that Chapters II, III, and IV offer Haedrig's Gift as rewards, this is what most players do the Season Journey to obtain. This gift bag will be sent to your Mailbox where you can claim it to receive 2 items for your specified Class Set . The first 2 can be obtained very easily and can result in a tremendous power boost for some classes, obtaining all 3 bags yields the entire Class Set and paves a path for your character to dominate going forward. In Season 30 each Class will have the following sets available in Haedrig's Gift :

  • Barbarian - The Legacy of Raekor
  • Crusader - Armor of Akkhan
  • Demon Hunter - Embodiment of the Marauder
  • Monk - Inna's Mantra
  • Necromancer - Pestilence Master's Shroud
  • Witch Doctor - Zunimassa's Haunt
  • Wizard - Delsere's Magnum Opus

Each Season the Class Set rotates to a new one, giving players easy access to all of these sets over multiple seasons. Some Seasons a certain Class may have a much stronger Haedrig's Gift Class Set than the others but this season they are all pretty mediocre. Haedrig's Gift is not determined until you open the gift, so you can collect Haedrig's Gift and open all of the bags on a different character to obtain the Class Set if you desire. This is a fantastic way to gear up a second character if you're able to complete this portion of the Journey without needing the Set items to do it!

When stepping back and looking at the entire Season Journey as a whole you'll notice that there are a lot of Objectives spread across multiple Chapters that synergize well with each other. For example you'll find that you're required to spend a considerable amount of time going through Acts I-V doing Bounties, killing Bosses and hunting Keywardens. Some of these objectives only require a low difficulty and can yield great rewards early on for progression. However if you're able to bump up the difficulty to Torment IV+ early on, you can accomplish many objectives in a single round of Bounties as you can kill all the Bosses and Keywardens while doing them. Keep in mind as you are going through your Season Journey that you can complete any of these objectives at any time but that you must complete all of a Chapter's objectives before being able to receive rewards from a subsequent chapter.

Chapter I is the easiest of them all and the objectives are rather straight forward. As mentioned above this is already where Bounties and Bosses start to be required and you can look into further Chapters to see how you can maximize your efficiency if you're strong enough to start off on a harder difficulty. For example Chapter II requires 2 Boss kills on Hard Difficulty and Chapter III requires 2 other Bosses on Master Difficulty or Higher. If you start this process by putting your game on Master Difficulty you can accomplish all of the Bounty and Boss requirements for the first 3 chapters in the same game. Keep things like this in mind as you look through all of the objectives. If you aren't familiar with Nephalem Rifts they're dungeons that you open up using the Nephalem Obelisk located in every town. The first 3 Chapters require you to clear one of these each time, again if you start on a higher difficulty the previous ones will be finished as well.

None, but keep going!

Chapter II focuses more on introducing you further to the Artisans in town and how you can utilize the Jeweler, Blacksmith and Mystic to Craft and Enchant new or existing gear. You're tasked with 2 more Bosses to kill on at least Hard difficulty as well as needing to complete a Nephalem Rift on at least Expert. If you haven't went to get Kanai's Cube now is the time and it is a bit of a walk but keep going and you'll find the Elder Sanctum inside The Ruins of Sescheron soon enough, once you're there go all the way to the end and you can't miss it!

Haedrig's Gift - Class Set Helm & Gloves. You now have your 2 piece Class Set bonus.

Chapter III

In this chapter the Nephalem Rift as well as the Bosses need to be completed on Master difficulty or higher. You'll be introduced to Kadala and Greater Rifts now as you'll need to gamble with Blood Shard s for the first time which drop from Greater Rift Guardians. Kadala can be found in every town right near the Nephalem Obelisk. Blood Shards are a great way to get pieces of gear your missing but there's always a chance to get nothing but sadness. Complete higher difficulty Greater Rifts to increase your maximum Blood Shard storage, +5 for every level reached. Master difficultly is usually very feasible in early game and this is a great starting place, at the same time Chapter IV and Torment I are just one difficulty ahead and will make our run even more efficient so highly consider making that jump especially if you have a group.

Haedrig's Gift - Class Set Boots & Shoulders. You now have your 4 piece Class Set bonus.

Chapter IV is where you get the last pieces of your Class Set from Haedrig's Gift but it's also where things get a bit more difficult! Now you have 4 pieces of your Class Set though and should be ready to take on these higher difficulties and new challenges. For your solo level 20 Greater Rift check out Wudijo's guide to see how you can optimize your current 4 piece set bonus to stroll through this objective. You'll also need to hunt down the 4 Keywardens placed across Acts I-IV, these fights aren't necessarily difficult but you must find them within their designated areas. From the Bounties you've done by now you've surely found some Blacksmith and Jeweler Recipe's and likely possibly have already learned 5 of each, if not run another full act of Bounties to receive quite a few recipes in the Bounty Cache.

  • Haedrig's Gift - Remaining 2 Class Set pieces depending on what is needed for completion.
  • You now have your full 6 piece Class Set bonus!
  • Conqueror Set boots and pants, portrait frame.

During the Slayer Objectives you'll be introduced to Infernal Machine's ( Infernal Machine of Regret , Infernal Machine of Putridness , Infernal Machine of Terror , Infernal Machine of Fright ) for the first time. These items open up special dungeons inside the Heretic's Adobe in Act I, here you'll fight familiar Bosses now known as "Ubers" that are super charged and paired up for battle against you. Upon killing the Ubers there is a chance to obtain a Demonic Organ ( Leoric's Regret , Vial of Putridness , Idol of Terror , Heart of Fright ) which drop more often as you increase the difficulty.

Once you've collected all four Demonic Organ's you'll be able to craft a Hellfire Amulet or Hellfire Ring at the Jeweler after obtaining the recipe from Squirt in Act II. The Hellfire Amulet is very unique in that it allows any class to pick up a 5th Passive skill however this is usually overshadowed by stronger Amulet's in the game such as Squirt's Necklace and The Flavor of Time . The Hellfire Ring offers two interesting features, one being that it has no required level and can be very useful when leveling up your next character and the other being that it always rolls with increased experience . This ring is great for the group when worn by a support character or your follower when playing solo. Keep in mind this bonus is only 20% of what's stated when your follower wears it but it's still extra experience!

The Slayer objectives also will introduce you to Set Dungeon's for the first time. These are unique dungeons dedicated to highlighting unique Class Sets. Every class has 4 Set Dungeon's based off 4 different Class Sets that can be completed, each offering unique challenges and restrictions that make them fun to complete and difficult to master. To find the entrance to each Class Set Dungeon you must put on the Class Set and visit the Tomb of Set Dungeons for a clue, this is found in the Royal Quarters which is in Leoric's Manor up the staircase to the right. Completing Set Dungeons won't lead to Unique item drops or crafting possibilities however mastering 24 of the 28 Set Dungeons (excluding Necromancer) will reward the player with arguably the coolest cosmetic wings in the game the "Wings of Mastery."

Portrait Frame

So you think you're a Champion? Well you're going to have to prove it with this set of objectives before moving on to the next step on your Season Journey. To be a Champion also means you must craft a Flawless Royal Gem which will require you to find the recipe and it costs 81 Marquise Gems to create. Make sure you're always picking up Gems once they're dropping at Marquise and Imperial quality as you'll need quite a few to have all max level Gems in your gear.

Now that you're a Champion it's time to be introduced to another unique challenge you haven't seen yet, Conquests are unique Season Challenges that come with their own Leaderboards as well. In this Chapter you'll need to complete one of these Conquests, to find them check out our Conquests Guide or check out the Leaderboard Menu in game. Shown on the right is the list of Conquests that you can find within the Leaderboard, there are always 5 each Season with a Softcore and Hardcore version of them. It's time to use the Demonic Organs you've collected as well and will need to buy Design: Hellfire Amulet from Squirt in Act II as well as learning and crafting the Amulet at the Jeweler. Everything else in this Chapter should be feeling rather familiar by now, the remainder of the Season Journey will have very similar objectives and Torment XIII is the extent of how hard you must set the difficulty to complete them.

For the 2nd to last step of the Season Journey you'll have a few new objectives that include reforging a Legendary item, Augmenting your first Ancient Legendary item as well as visiting The Vault and Slay Greed. Reforging Legendary items is a very expensive recipe and should only be used to turn a poorly rolled item into the chance for a better one, doing this can yield Ancient and Primal Ancient items but the cost is immense, do it once here for the Season Journey but try to save this recipe for later in a Season when you are seeking that final piece of amazing gear like a Primal Horadric Hamburger .

Caldesann's Despair or Recipe #10 in Kanai's Cube aka Augmenting Ancient Legendary items is a great way to increase your power once you find a great piece of gear worthy of the investment. Having excess Legendary Gems around to use on Augmentation will take quite a few Greater Rifts to obtain so use this recipe wisely on your best Ancient Legendary items. The process is relatively simple, you put the Ancient Legendary, Legendary Gem and corresponding Gem that you want to gain Primary Stat from into the cube. Flawless Royal Ruby will yield Strength, Flawless Royal Emerald will yield Dexterity and Flawless Royal Topaz will yield Intelligence. Kanai's cube should look similar to the image on the right then you click Transmute and the Ancient Legendary will now have a significant Primary Stat boost as an additional Primary attribute.

To access The Vault and fight Greed simply place a Puzzle Ring into Kanai's Cube and click Transmute, this will open a gold portal to The Vault where you'll find an abundance of Goblins and riches. Try out an Ancient Puzzle Ring sometime to experience a super charged Vault that will exceed expectations and yield a massive amount of Gems, Materials and Gold. Equip Sages Journey and a Broken Crown before going in to get double Death's Breath s and Gems.

Portrait Frame and +1 Stash Space

The final stage of the Season Journey has a third Conquest to complete which means the easy ones might be done by now and you might be getting into more challenging territory! Further progression of your Legendary Gems and Solo Greater Rift achievements is demanded up to level 70. You're also going to have to kill Adria in under 15 seconds! Luckily at this point killing Adria in this amount of time should be trivial, let her know who's boss and claim the final stage of your rewards! To finish this chapter you'll need to extract quite a few more Legendary Powers using Kanai's Cube consider other Classes and Builds you might play while extracting all of these items, it's expensive!

Complete the Season Guardian Journey to earn exclusive cosmetic rewards!

Congratulations if you've made it this far you've completed your Season Journey and have obtained Haedrig's Gift, the portrait frames, stash tab and Pets! The cosmetics are exclusive and shall be your tokens of Glory moving forward to the next Season, no one can deny your accomplishment and many shall envy you. If you're looking for more challenges beyond the Season Journey check out the other Season Conquests .

Season of the Construct Header.png

Season of the Construct Runtime

Season of the Construct is set to begin on January 23rd, 2024 at 10:00AM PST .

Season of the Construct Questline

With a brand new Season comes a new storyline for you to experience, and this Season you'll be travelling through Vaults deep beneath the sands of Kehjistan to stop the demon Malphas from corrupting the Loom, an ancient technology capable of great things. Gatehall, a town center underneath Kehjistan, will be your base of operations as you face off against the Constructs.

In order to play the Season of the Construct, you'll need to create a new character on the Seasonal Realm, and must have completed the main campaign . Once you've completed the prologue, you can always use the Skip Main Campaign feature if you wish!

Seneschal Companion

You'll be able to acquire your own Seneschal Companion which becomes available within the Seasonal Questline. This versatile companion can directly engage in combat, or help from the sidelines - the choice is yours.

Seneschal Companion.png

You can use magical Governing and Tuning Stones that you recover from Vaults (or elsewhere in Sanctuary) to augment your Seneschal to better suit your build.

Seneschal Upgrading.png

Governing & Tuning Stones

Governing Stones decide which attacks your Seneschal can perform, while Tuning Stones augment those attacks and allow greater build variety and finetuning. Up to 2 Governing Stones and 6 Tuning Stones can be equipped to your Seneschal at once , with 1 Governing Stone for each attack, and 3 Tuning Stones each to augment said attacks.

These Stones can be acquired in a number of ways, including:

  • Find Wardwoven Chests for additional Tuning Stones
  • Both Tuning and Governing Stones have a low chance to appear as drops when playing Vaults and Arcane Tremors
  • Shattered Stone can be crafted into Governing and Tuning Stones at Jewelers

Collect or craft duplicates of Stones you already have and you'll be able to fuse them, upgrading and levelling them up in the process. There are a total of 12 Governing Stones and 27 Tuning Stones of varying rarities for you to seek out and experiment with!

There are rumours of special Tuning Stones, yet all we currently know are their names: Evernight, and Genesis.

Vaults are a new specialized dungeon type that various hazards dwell within. Many of these hazards come in the form of the new monster family, The Constructs . These mechanical beings come in several elemental variants that'll be sure to keep you on your toes as you explore.

Vaults.png

After converting the required Pearls of Warding and entering the Vault, you'll be blessed with Zoltun's Warding , a blessing which will grant you access to the riches within the Vaults. This blessing will diminish stack by stack if you happen to fall victim to the dangers within the Vault, so be careful!

If Zoltun's Warding in intact after defeating the Vault Boss, you'll unlock a Wardwoven Chest, which has a higher likelihood of containing Legendary items. To make this more likely, you can use Pearls of Warding at the Vault entrance to gain additional stacks of the blessing . If you do this, the rewards will increase as well.

Upon reaching World Tier III, Nightmare Vaults will unlock - functioning in a similar way to Nightmare Dungeons. Vault Sigils will drop alongside Nightmare Dungeon Sigils, or you have the choice to craft them with Pearls of Warding.

The Gauntlet & Weekly Leaderboards

Gauntlet.png

Arriving later in Season of the Construct, you'll be able to fight through The Gauntlet , which is a weekly rotating fixed dungeon that you'll be competing against others to attain top spot on the leaderboard. The top weekly scores will earn a permanent place in the Hall of the Ancients , so get ready to fight to earn iconic status.

QoL Updates

Helltides endure.

  • Beginning with Season of the Construct, Helltides will always be active (outside of a 5-minute downtime once per hour).

Enhanced Movement with WASD

  • Players on PC can now move around using the W-A-S-D keys on keyboard, instead of solely using the mouse.

Extra Stash Tab

  • An extra Stash Tab is now available to purchase at the Stash in any capital city.
  • Improvements have been made to skill tree reallocation
  • UI improvements when trading Gold
  • Rate increases to earn items to summon the Beast in the Ice

Season Journey and Battle Pass

Season of Construct Battle Pass.png

Season 3 Content

Influence Races, a new Season Pass, a main storyline quest revamp, and more are coming for all players in Season 3. Here are some of the highlights:

New Season Pass

Season 3 introduces a new Season Journey, new Activity Card, new Challenges, and new rewards.

New Influence Races

Capture new Influence Towers and strike down enemy Factions in open world combat for territorial supremacy. Each Faction will compete for Influence in specific zones during scheduled times. If an attacking Faction earns enough Influence through PvP Missions, Influence Towers, and Forts before the race ends, they’ll receive bonus rewards, plus the opportunity to declare War. If the defending Faction prevents the attackers from scoring enough Influence within the time limit, they’ll earn bonus rewards for both the Influence Race and the next War. Regardless of who wins, the attacking Faction with the most influence can escalate the conflict into War.

New Main Storyline Quest Revamp: Edengrove and Great Cleave

The Edengrove and Great Cleave main storylines are getting an overhaul based on player feedback and improvements made to the revamped starting experience. Experience these familiar zones through fresh narratives, more quest variety, and a few new surprises.

Ward, Bane, Resilience and Expertise Removal

We’re removing Creature Bane Perks, Creature Ward Perks, Resilience Perks, and Expertise based on player feedback. As a result, we will make the following balance changes:

For Banes, we’re increasing the base damage of magic and ranged weapons in PvE to make them more effective alternatives to melee options against multiple enemies.

For Wards, we’re making adjustments on the AI and encounter side to account for the removal of their defensive and offensive benefits.

For Resilience, we’ve added crit reduction to all players via the equip load effects (Light -15%, Medium -20%, Heavy -25%). Current items with this perk will receive the “Health” perk instead which increases the player’s health as a certain percentage of their base health.

For Expertise, we’re making adjustments to the Gear Score drops from all creatures based on their level.

Stay tuned for more weapon and perk balance updates as we continue to implement player feedback in Season 3.

Seasonal Events

Events will continue to be free for all players. This season includes the following returning favorites:

Nightveil Hallow

new journey season 3

Turkey Terror

new journey season 3

Turkulon is back for revenge. Hunt down the feathered menace and his ‘fowl army’ to earn new rewards.

Expansion FAQ

Can i purchase rise of the angry earth without owning the base game.

New World is required to play the expansion. Rise of the Angry Earth is a continuation of the main story quest featuring some of the game’s most difficult challenges yet.

Does the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion include the Premium Reward Track?

The Premium Reward Track is a separate purchase from the expansion and must be bought individually.

How does Rise of the Angry Earth expansion work across different characters on the same account?

New World: Rise of the Angry Earth is account-wide and will be accessible to all of your characters regardless of their world.

Will Rise of the Angry Earth expansion content be available for a limited-time like Seasonal content?

No, the expansion content will remain available regardless of the Season, while Seasonal content will continue to cycle about every 3 months.

How will New World: Rise of the Angry Earth impact my ability to join players who do not own the expansion?

New World: Rise of the Angry Earth is the only way for players to experience the Elysian Wilds zone, the Primal Fury Heartrune, the Savage Divide Expedition, the Flail weapon, Artifact gear, mounts, progression updates, and revamped Mutations. All other modes, events, and quests will remain accessible for everyone to enjoy together.

What changes are coming to revamped Mutations with Rise of the Angry Earth?

Developer Note 9/25: "Initially we considered changing to a weekly limit of 100 Mutation runs a week, this was due to planned changes to the amount of loot that would be dropping (i.e. a reduction) and the removal of Umbral Shards. After consideration regarding the amount of loot dropped per expedition (maintaining a high level of drops) and testing we are instead raising this limit to 35 due to the impact on other parts of progression and economy, and we will continue to monitor."

To further improve Mutations as an endgame activity, we’ve revamped the experience for level 65 players. As a result, you will need to purchase Rise of the Angry Earth and max out your character level to enter Mutated Expeditions. Based on player feedback, Mutations will have 3 difficulties and a weekly limit of 100 Mutations. This added accessibility means less time waiting for groups and more opportunities for players to help less experienced Adventurers.

Players can also look forward to more desirable endgame rewards. For example, players that complete Elite Mutations will have a chance to earn Artifacts. Here’s the difficulty breakdown.

Intermediate : Requires 650 gear, includes Mutation

Hard : Requires 675 gear, includes Mutation and Promotion

Elite : Requires 700 gear, includes Mutation, Promotion, and Curses

What are the system requirements to play New World?

New World has continued to grow since launch and reached a point where the PC requirements for running the game need to scale with these new experiences. To improve the game’s client performance for all players throughout Aeternum, New World will require the following system requirements alongside the release of Rise of the Angry Earth:

The Public Test Realm (PTR) is a limited-availability server-set that grants an early look at upcoming features. These preview builds are snapshots of upcoming major releases and are not final versions — you may encounter bugs, crashes, missing text, or other issues. Between our internal testing efforts and your reports, we hope to catch and resolve all serious issues before they reach the live servers. Hundreds of changes have already been made — with more to come — and the full release notes will be shared on release day. However, not every bug or feedback piece will be actioned on before release — some changes need time to be investigated further, and may arrive in a subsequent patch or two.

To help with the feedback process, all newly created PTR characters will have the opportunity to instantly level to select level-ranges outfitted with appropriate gear and items.

Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for updates on when the Rise of the Angry Earth and Season 3 PTR will be available. If you encounter a bug, exploit, or have suggestions to improve a feature or piece of content, we’d love to hear your feedback on our Discord (you can also utilize our in-game feedback tool). We will do our best to address as much of your feedback as possible before the content update makes its way to our live servers. Your participation will help us to deliver awesome content and updates in the future!

During this iteration of the PTR, we look forward to hearing your playtest feedback on the following changes:

Elysian Wilds Zone

Rise of the Angry Earth Main Story Quest

Edengrove and Great Cleave Main Story Quest Revamp

The Savage Divide Expedition

Horse Mounts

Weapon/Perk changes

Primal Fury Heartrune

Trade Skill and Gear Score changes

Influence Race

Season 3 Rewards Track

PTR CLIENT ACCESS

This special preview client will be made available for download through the stand-alone Steam application, “New World Public Test Realm” (which should already be in your Steam library if you own the main game). When the test period is complete and the main New World game is updated with the previewed content, the PTR world will shut down and may be wiped clean. You will continue to see the New World PTR application in your Steam library, but there will not be an active server until the next time we announce a public test.

PTR BACKSTORY LOADOUTS

Upon character creation on the PTR, players will be given multiple caches of special armor and weapons. Each cache has a designation based upon a general build and a main attribute: CON, DEX, INT, FOC, and STR.

To help manage the sudden onset of new items, do not open all provided caches at once, or you’ll risk becoming encumbered! Instead, equip all provided bags and then follow-up with opening each cache deliberately. Any undesired caches can be dropped or deposited into your personal settlement storage.

new journey season 3

How do I access the new PTR?

Everyone with a copy of New World will be automatically granted access to the secondary PTR app. The PTR is not compatible with the live game, so you will need to download a separate client (and have the hard drive space required to support it). From there, we will have special worlds available within supported regions. Not all regions will initially be supported. Access is on a first come, first served basis. There may be queues.

Can I play with or transfer my live characters to the PTR?

Unfortunately, no. These are separate ecosystems, so at this time it is not possible. However, to make testing easier, we will occasionally provide our play-testers with special accommodations such as instant levels, special gear, etc.

Can I provide design feedback regarding what’s included in the PTR?

Preview game builds on the PTR are finished with their core development and are in their final phase of testing and bug fixing. Our main focus at this phase is improving quality, although we will appreciate any feedback you have to share.

I have a problem; How can I contact customer support?

Our policies and Code of Conduct cover the PTR, and in-game moderation will continue to be supported. Unfortunately, due to the temporary and potentially unstable nature of the PTR, general Customer Service assistance through both Live Chat and through the Support Website will not be available.

I don’t want to participate in the PTR, can I remove the app from my library?

Don’t worry, no offense taken. Players can manage visibility of the New World Public Test Realm Steam Library entry. Opening up the game options (right-click > Manage) offers the “Hide Game” function.

Keep an eye out for feature-specific breakdowns as we get closer to the release of Rise of the Angry Earth on October 3. Thanks for your support and participation! We'll see you in Aeternum.

New World Season Pass: Everything you need to know

New World is shifting to a seasonal update model, and with it comes the Season Pass Feature! This breaks down how the Season Pass works and how you get the most out of it.

What is a Season Pass

A Season Pass is New World’s version of a Battle Pass system. Each Season will last three months, or right around 90 days, equivalent to a real-life season. During this time frame, you’ll be able to play and earn progress on your Season Pass.

Each Season Pass has 100 total levels to earn and a handful of ways to go about earning them. Each level rewards a variety of cosmetic and gameplay items, from Seasonal Cosmetic Armor to even Legendary Gear (Gearscore 600 Items).

The Season Pass system was introduced with New World Update 1.9 in April 2023.

How to Progress the Season Pass

There are four main ways to progress your Season Pass and one extra way that should be ignored:

Seasonal Activity Card

  • Seasonal Challenges

Season Journey

  • Buying Levels

Each of these contributes to your progress in various ways and often have plenty of overlap that can make overall progression quite quick.

Below we’ll talk about each system and how it factors into the overall progression.

In the UI for the Season Pass (Default F9), you can access the Activity Card section by clicking the Activity Card button in the upper left of the UI.

Here you’re given your Activity Card, which is basically a Bingo card.

This is displayed in the middle, with each of the Activities from the list on the left placed randomly.

On the left is the Activity List. This gives you a list of the action you need to complete to progress and earn Stamps for your Activity Card. These activities are a variety of PvE and PvP tasks that you take on at your own leisure.

Below this list, You’re able to spend Azoth to reset a card. The first reset is free, but the cost will scale up with the number of resets after, starting at 100 for the second reset. This will only reset the uncompleted tasks as you’ll need to fully stamp the card to get a new one.

The right side details how many Activity Cards you’ve completed, as well as the Season XP granted by completion of an Activity Card. For reference, each card has the following Season XP rewards:

  • 250 XP per Activity Completed.
  • 400 XP per filled line.
  • 300 for full card completion.
  • 8,300 total XP for fully completing a card

This amount of Season XP usually amounts to at least a few levels, with early leveling only being 2,500 XP.

The Season Journey is a series of set tasks that you can complete to progress the Journey list. This list will change each Season to match the new Season Pass, but is otherwise static.

Much like the Activity Card, this can also be accessed from a button on the upper left of the Season Pass UI (F9).

These are set tasks that never change, but they are also a very high source of Season XP when you claim them. We’ll talk about getting quick levels later on, but for now, make note that these aren’t automatically claimed.

As you complete Tasks, you’ll work towards completing a Chapter. Every Chapter has Milestones of five and ten tasks respectively. These giant additional rewards include huge chunks of Season XP. Each Chapter consists of ten tasks, with the next chapter being unlocked at the five-task milestone.

A lot of the tasks here are fairly generic, asking you to complete the Seasonal Questline, defeat certain types of foes, participate in PvP, or complete certain tasks with Lifeskills.

Between individual tasks and Milestones, each Chapter is worth the equivalent of several Season Pass levels.

Season Challenges

Season Challenges are a much more long-term version of the Seasons Journey. These are found at the bottom of the Chapter List on the left side of the UI under Challenges.

While these are also generic tasks, they’re not ones intended to be done in a single day or even a single week. Some of them could be done in a short time frame by a dedicated or hardcore player, but it’d definitely be a test to do so.

Alongside the major feature of the Season Pass, you’ll also gain Season XP from various gameplay elements. These will not reward a ton of Season XP, but there are a number of activities that provide Season XP. Consider these as passive Season XP gains, but things to keep in mind while you work on the bigger parts of the season pass, as there is quite a bit of overlap.

The activities that provide limited Season XP are as follows:

  • Gypsum Cast Crafting
  • Expedition Boss defeats
  • Outpost Rush
  • Corruption Breaches
  • Faction Missions
  • Aptitude Levels
  • Earning a set amount of Character Experience

Almost all of these overlap with the other systems in some way. Wars are the only outlier, as its means of interacting with other parts of this is limited to progressing your PvP Reward Track. Meanwhile, everything else is just bonus to the things you’ll already be doing for the Activity Card, Journey, or Challenges.

Buying Pass Levels

As with any “Battle Pass”-style system comes the option to buy levels. While the levels here are a modest 1,000 Marks of Fortune, that doesn’t make them particularly valuable; here’s why.

While the levels are much cheaper compared to those in similar systems; outside of the level containing cosmetics, the bulk of the items in the Season Pass are obtainable through gameplay. It’s mostly gear chests and resources, offering little value or substance.

Sure, you absolutely could get a couple if you find yourself near the end of the pass and something happens to where you’d otherwise not complete it. The Premium Pass does return 7,500 Marks of Fortune over the course of the pass, so they could be used in that way if desired.

Is the Premium Season Pass Worth It

The free track offers a fair bit of useful items to those that are both new or returning to the world of Aeturnum. With it being free, it’s hard to argue against it. You’ll still be able to earn a full set of cosmetic armor, but the matching weapons and tool skins are only available in the Premium pass. Additionally, you’ll be able to earn 2,500 Marks of Fortune for free across the full Season Pass.

For 20,000 Marks of Fortune ($20 USD, or regional equivalent) you’ll be able to get access to the Premium Track for the Season Pass, which in addition to the Weapon and Tool Skins, also has its own additional Seasonal Armor set for completing the pass.

There is also the Head Start Pass option, which while being a bit more expensive at 30,000 Marks of Fortune, jumps your progress forward by 20 levels from where you purchase it. If you’re considering Premium and are worried about not having enough time to complete it it can be valuable. Though the Pass itself doesn’t take much time to complete, which can take away from the potential value of the Head Start Pass.

If you’re all about cosmetics, you’ll definitely get your money’s worth if you complete the Premium Season Pass . Especially with the Premium pass returning 7,500 Marks of Fortune over the course of the pass, cutting the effective cost of the pass down to 12,500 Marks of Fortune, should you claim all the rewards.

Overall, I’d say the Premium Season pass is worth it if you’re an active player and you play New World almost daily. If you don’t have the time to put into it, you won’t get much out of it.

You can still however see how far you get on the Free Track and decide if the Premium or Headstart options will help out. The important thing is that the Premium offer multiple Season XP Booster, an additional four, compared to the single one you get on the Free Track. While Head Start Passes give +20 levels from where you are.

I do highly recommend against purchasing the Head Start Pass unless you’re really short on time. Specifically, there’s a way that even a free player can clear the pass with less overall hassle, given some patience. Though, it does give 20 levels at half the cost of buying the individually.

How to Quickly Finish the Season Pass

Now, most people, they’ll look at the Season Pass and assume this pass will take some time to complete. They wouldn’t be wrong, but there are a few things that you can do to accelerate your Season Pass completion.

The biggest thing that will impact how quickly you get through the Season Pass is how you use the Season XP Booster.

Despite the description of this item, it doubles ALL gains of Season XP, which when set up correctly, can see you blaze through the entire pass very quickly. While this can take a bit to do properly and get the most value out of a booster, if you’re on the Free Pass, it’s highly recommended.

The first step is obviously to get the Booster. If you’re on the Free Pass you’ll get exactly one for the full pass, at Level 18. If you’re going the Premium Route, you’ll get one immediately. If you opt for the immediate Headstart, you’ll have two. Regardless of the Route with Premium, you get a total of 5 spread out roughly every 20 levels of the Season Pass.

Now, it’s very important that we only use the Activity Card to Progress these early levels . I cannot stress enough, that we want to save as many of the one-time XP bonuses as possible. Focus on your activity Card, completing what you can manage and holding on to any Journey Objectives, or Challenge Objectives until you have a Season XP Boost in hand to turn in.

Next, we turn to the Activity Card. To start off we’ll need to have at least finished 6 cards , or at least to the point where we can click the “Finish Card” button. This is just setup for Season Journeys, for later. If you’re on the Free Pass, you’ll have likely done this already prior to getting the booster

You’ll want to get a set of objectives you can complete without much hassle. Get a Full card ready to be stamped , or at the very least as full as you can get it. We’ll be turning all of these in after we apply the booster. For Premium, You’ll be able to do this multiple times over the course of the Season

Then comes Season Journey. All of these will passively stack up over time, even if you’re not on the current chapter. You’ll want to get as many of these done and ready to turn in as possible . If you’re taking just the Free Route, I HIGHLY recommend you attempt to get all of these done before turning in any of them. If you’re Premium, you can get away with doing this one chapter at a time which will have similar results.

Finally, we have Challenges. These will be difficult to build up but can be worth it if we have the time, patience, or skill necessary. As most of these are high-level PvE or PvP challenges, there are only a few that are manageable within reason for new players for this, but that’s still an extra chunk of XP.

Now for the fun part, dumping all of that XP. With a full card, and ALL Season Journeys, that adds up to be a whopping 179,400 Season XP. If levels are a consistent 2,750 through the full pass, that’s a whopping 65 levels you’ll get. If you’re starting from Level 18 on the Free Pass, you’ll jump to Level 83.

If we add in all of the Challenges, that’s an additional 70,000 Season XP, and combined with the previous amount, we get 249,400 Season XP. Assuming the 2,750 per level again, that’s a full 90 levels and a completed pass if you were starting from Level 18. Even starting from Level 1, this is an absolutely insane boost.

Now if we account for only three challenges being within reason, that still brings us up to 200,400 Season XP. It’s still 72, almost 73 levels if they are 2,750 for the full pass. Even from Level 18, that’s bringing you to nearly the end of the pass (level 90) in a single burst.

Okay, so there’s a little time left on your booster(s), so what do we do with it? To round off the Booster and get the most out of it, assuming we’re not done already, we’re going back to the Activity Cards.

This time, however, we’re not looking to let it build up. We’ll be looking to churn through cards as quickly as we can . This means completing as many of the objectives as we can that allows us to “finish” the card and flip it. You should still look to complete lines at the very least and as many objectives that are not in the way, but we’ll want to get through as many quick and easy tasks as we can.

Season 29 Visions of Enmity – Now Live

Season 29 Visions of Enmity – Now Live

Time unravels before your very eyes in Season 29 Visions of Enmity, which goes live on September 15 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST . For an in-depth look at the seasonal theme, addition of the Solo Self Found single player mode, Paragon Ceiling changes, and quality-of-life updates, take a gander below.

What the Future Holds: A Message from the Diablo III Team

Valiant Nephalem have hack-and-slashed hordes through Seasons introducing gameplay-alerting themes, experience-defining quality-of-life updates, and hellastic events for the last 11 years. Diablo III will continue to burn bright in Season 29 and beyond—this Season sets the bedrock for the game’s future and introduces our final brand-new theme.

Season 30 will bring fresh gameplay balances and bug fixes to reinvigorate your adventures but introduce no new theme. Instead, this Season will usher in the permanent return of a community-favorite theme, Rites of Sanctuary, which will be playable across all modes. Following Season 30, iconic themes and features from Seasons past will be reintroduced roughly every 3 months, ensuring there will never be a shortage of twisted obstacles to overcome and demonic blood to spill.

new journey season 3

Seasonal Journey

Season 29 theme, season cosmetic rewards, season journey rewards, seasonal conquest, haedrig’s gift, patch notes, community-led changes, class balance changes.

There it is. Out of thin air it appeared, flashing a welcoming gleam accompanied by a whirring hum...and yet it vanished as quickly as it arrived. This isn’t the first portal you’ve encountered before, Nephalem, but is it innocuous in nature or a ploy by your adversaries? There is only one way to be certain: muster the courage to step into the unknown. Temper both your body and mind to blossom into an unrelenting force.

Season 29 introduces the new theme Visions of Enmity. Curious portals known as Diabolical Fissures have sprung up across Sanctuary’s wilderness, and entering them triggers both dangerous memories from your past, and even more dangerous emissaries of Hell to slaughter.

Long-forgotten treasures see daylight once more in Season 29. Let the Old Growth pet extend you a branch of fortitude in these uncertain times, ride the cosmos using the Galactic Wings , and steep yourself in mythos with the Greyhollow portrait .

new journey season 3

Below you’ll find patch notes for the upcoming update to Diablo III: Patch 2.7.6. It goes live on September 12 .

Note: All changes apply to all versions of Diablo III, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC unless otherwise indicated.

Solo Self Found

new journey season 3

Demon slayers seeking to up the intensity of their journey through Sanctuary can try out the new Solo Self Found mode . In this mode, you’ll only have yourself to rely on to overcome the hordes from Hell. That’s right, it’s a single player experience. If you’d like to up the ante even more, a Hardcore version of this mode is available.

We decided to bring Solo Self Found, an officially supported single player mode, to Diablo III. Without the experience bonus from being in a Party, or other players to protect your back as you carve through demonic legions, this mode will test you. To celebrate the accomplishments of those brave enough to roll a character in this mode, we have also created specific Leaderboards for Solo Self Found, which function like those for other modes.

To create a character in Solo Self Found, select the Solo Hero option in the character creation screen. You’ll still be able to play the Campaign and Adventure Mode just as you would in other modes, but only the Private Game option will be available to use. Challenge Rifts can be completed with a Party while the mode is seasonal. Solo Self Found is a solitary journey, so you will be unable to start this mode while in a Party or access Multiplayer aspects of Diablo III, such as trading. Rebirthing is available for Solo Self Found.

The Season 29 Visions of Enmity theme and the other components of Patch 2.7.6 were designed with Solo Self Found in mind. Please let us know your thoughts—we encourage feedback about your experience.

Season 29 Visions of Enmity

new journey season 3

The nefarious machinations of the Burning Hells have permeated every corner of Sanctuary, warping reality in the process. This disturbance has given way to Visions of Enmity, pocket dimensions accessed by stepping through Diabolical Fissures .

new journey season 3

Nephalem Level 1 or higher have a chance at encountering a Diabolical Fissure by slaying demons in the open world. Should your smiting of hellspawn trigger a Fissure, press onward into a Vision of Enmity—what horrors await on the other side are unknown, but these instances are rich in rewards. The Visions are quite unstable and have the potential to produce additional Fissures after enemies are dispatched inside—keep an eye out for these opportunities to maximize your chance of earning useful gear.

New Monster Affixes

Watch your health, Nephalem! New powers originating from the Burning Hells have been bestowed upon all enemies inside the Visions, making them more lethal than before. These Affixes are only available in Visions of Enmity .

  • Enervating: Creates an area of effect around the monster that reduces the player’s Movement Speed by 65% and Cooldown Reduction by 50% if the player is in the vicinity of the monster.
  • Necrotic: The player's healing is reduced by 65%. Monsters have a damage-over-time effect that deals 180% of the player’s max health over 30 seconds. This effect is removed if the player is healed above 95%.

Paragon Ceiling

We are introducing changes to Paragon Points to work in tandem with Solo Self Found and the Season 29 theme. You can now assign a total of 800 Paragon Points to your solo Self Found character. Previously, you were only able to assign a total of 50 Paragon Points to each attribute within the Core, Defense, Offense, and Utility categories, but now you can assign up to 200 in each attribute. Each category can only have 200 Paragon Points placed into them.

This change is exclusive to Season 29 and applies to all modes.

new journey season 3

Developer's Note: We understand that Paragon was king in terms of character power. With the change this Season, we wanted to shift that power from Main Stat grinding to gameplay knowledge and gear hunting. We chose 800 as our initial starting point and would appreciate your feedback on this cap. There are a few changes within the Paragon system to keep in mind: Movement Speed: We changed Movement Speed to 0.125% per point because the old value would have provided players with 100% Movement Speed, which was too much. Players now have the option to place points into this stat, allowing them to surpass 25% Movement Speed from item bonuses. Area Damage: Area Damage should perform the same, if not a bit better, and with substantial improvements to performance.

With each Patch and Season, the community has communicated quality-of-life improvements they would like to see added to Diablo III. We always take the time to review and evaluate the feedback we receive, and implement changes that align with our design principles for the game. Below is a series of highly requested quality of life updates that are included in the Patch 2.7.6 PTR. Thank you for your continued feedback over the years!

Orek’s Dream

  • Dark Berserker (Monster Set 1) and Toxic Lurker (Monster Set 8) have been removed. Hellions (Monster Set 19), Vile Swarm (Monster Set 23), and Savage Beast (Monster Set 33) have been added in their place.
  • Added a buff icon when proccing the legendary item Flying Dragon.
  • Moving your mouse underneath the character while casting Tempest Rush Flurry stacks should no longer reset randomly.

Necromancer

  • Haunted Visions used to remove Skeletal Mages from the Simulacrums only if the player had Grim Scythe on their action bar, now it will remove Skeletal Mages regardless.
  • Requiem Cereplate was not calculating the correct amount of Essence and was adding way too much overflow excess Essence per tick. This has been fixed.

Miscellaneous

  • Removed Mastermind from the Champion portion of the seasonal journey. This means you no longer need to master a Set Dungeon. Instead, it has been replaced with Overcoming the Trials, which asks you to complete an Echoing Nightmare.
  • Due to the unique animation of how Hamelin dies, there were many issues with how it rewards kill credit. Hamelin now rewards kill credit to the closest player on death.
  • Corrupted Angels and all variations would sometimes do an attack that does double damage without any indication that it was a unique move. This has been changed to deal the same damage as normal attacks.
  • Added Greater Rift map checkpoints to Battlefields and Boneyards.
  • Corvus, Ice Caves, and Spider Caves maps can no longer spawn in Greater Rifts.
  • Orek's Dream versions of Desolate Sands and Shrouded Moors have had their monster densities increased.

The Patch 2.7.6 PTR introduces various balance changes for the Crusader, Demon Hunter, and Witch Doctor classes. We can’t wait to see how certain builds change for each Class because of these adjustments. For reference, the text in red font denotes the old effect description, while green font denotes the new effect description.

  • Each enemy hit by your Blessed Shield increases the damage of your Blessed Shield by 35-40% for 3 seconds.
  • Each enemy hit by your Blessed Shield increases the damage of your Blessed Shield by 35-40% for 6 seconds. Stacks up to 100 times (No more individual stacks).
  • No previous bonus.
  • While riding your war horse, Fist of the Heavens deals increased damage equal to your movement speed, and is automatically called down on a random nearby enemy at an interval based on your attack speed if it is on your action bar.

Demon Hunter

  • Gain 4 seconds of Momentum when attacking with a Primary skill, at a maximum duration of 20 seconds. Your Primary skills deal 10% increased damage per second of Momentum.
  • Gain 4 seconds of Momentum when attacking with a Primary skill, at a maximum duration of 20 seconds. This duration begins counting down after a delay of 5 seconds after each application. Your Primary skills deal 10% increased damage per second of Momentum.
Developer's Note: We wanted Gears of Dreadlands to be easier to play optimally, and had to forego the visual indicator that showed stacks.

Witch Doctor

  • 25-50% chance to cluck when attacking.
  • Casting Hex - Angry Chicken turns all your pets into exploding chickens. Chickens deal 150-200% increased damage, and Angry Chicken deals 50% more damage per exploded chicken.
  • As a result, Cluckeye no longer spawns with the Max Discipline secondary attribute.
  • Cluckeye has been updated in Djank Mi’em’s Follower Items bag.
  • Your Hex - Angry Chicken lasts 15 seconds and movement speed as a chicken is increased by an additional 100%.
  • While you are an angry chicken, you spawn a chicken every second that seeks enemies and deals 25% of your Angry Chicken explosion damage.
  • Your Hex - Angry Chicken lasts 15 seconds and movement speed as a chicken is increased by an additional 100% while gaining 75% damage reduction and for 5 seconds after.
  • While you are an angry chicken, you spawn a chicken every half second that seeks enemies and deals 100% of your Angry Chicken explosion damage.

Diabolical Fissures

  • Diabolical Fissures now denote on screen and in the chat box once spawned.
  • Diabolical Fissures can no longer spawn in Greed's Realm.
  • The placeholder text for the Chest at the end of a Diabolical Fissure has been replaced with a name.
  • Slightly increased the number of Greater Rift keys that can potentially drop inside a Diabolical Fissure.
  • Fixed the collision on Diabolical Chests and removed the collision that was present upon opening them.
  • Fixed an issue where the Witch Doctor’s Angry Chicken skill was not dealing as much damage as indicated in the description.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when players opened achievements.
  • Fixed an issue where interacting with Mail at the end of a Season had the potential to cause a crash.
  • Fixed a game crash that occurred when Demon Hunters utilized specific Item and Skill combinations.
  • Fixed an issue where the number of Wizard Mirror Images were barely visible on the game icon.
  • Fixed an issue with some icons in the Altar of Rites having hard edges.

May the Diabolical Fissures provide you with powerful boons! -The Diablo III Development Team

A new threat lurks deep beneath the sands of Kehjistan, where the Loom, an ancient technology—designed by Zoltun Kulle and Ayuzhan of Caldeum—has been usurped by the forces of evil. The Demon Malphas is responsible for twisting the Loom for his cruel whims. Zoltun’s former companion Ayuzhan leads you through the treacherous Vaults, desperate to stop the formidable Malphas and his deadly constructs from overtaking Sanctuary.

new journey season 3

Travel to the Gatehall , a town center underneath Kehjistan that serves as your base of operations in the fight against the Constructs. The Gatehall is your conduit to access the deadly Vaults— riddled with elemental Hazards and Constructs, these Vaults are the key to harnessing the true potential of the Loom. Travel to the Loom to stop the threat at its source and defeat Malphas in a new Boss fight.

To play the Season of the Construct Seasonal Questline, you must create a new character on the Seasonal Realm and have completed the Main Campaign. Take advantage of the Skip Main Campaign feature once you’ve completed the prologue if you want to jump right in!

Wield the power of the Loom by acquiring your very own Seneschal Companion, which becomes available during the Seasonal Questline. In Zoltun’s vision the Seneschal compliments your adventures by engaging directly in the fight or aiding you dutifully on the sidelines.

new journey season 3

Using magical Governing and Tuning Stones recovered from the Vaults and elsewhere in Sanctuary, augment your Seneschal to best suit your targeted build for Season of the Construct. Governing Stones determine which attacks your Seneschal can perform, while Tuning Stones will augment those skills and provide greater utility. You can equip your Seneschal with 2 Governing Stones and 6 Tuning Stones, one Governing stone for each attack and three Tuning Stones to augment the ability. There are 12 Governing Stones and 27 different Tuning Stones of different rarities to seek out in the Vaults to unlock the full power of the Seneschal construct.

new journey season 3

Tuning and Governing Stones can be acquired in a few different ways. Complete Vaults to earn one random Tuning Stone and seek out Wardwoven Chests to earn additional Tuning Stones-- both of which can be earned through various levels of the Season Journey. Both types also have a low chance to appear as drops when playing Vaults and Arcane Tremors. Defeating enemy Constructs within the Vaults will also grant Shattered Stone, which can be crafted into Governing and Tuning Stones at Jewelers found throughout Sanctuary.

To unlock the full power of the Stones, you will need to increase their raw power by levelling them. Collect or craft duplicates of the same Stones, fuse them together to grant experience and eventually level up your currently held Stones. Increasing the level of these stones increases the potency and ability of these attacks. Increasing the level of your Tuning Stones can add additional projectiles or augment the damage type they perform.

Once you’ve acquired your Seneschal, they’ll follow you everywhere in Sanctuary until Season of the Construct ends.

Below is a full list of the Governing and Tuning Stones available for the Seneschal Companion:

  • Evernight: ???
  • Genesis: ???

new journey season 3

While Ayuzhan slept, Malphas grew in strength, harnessing the awesome power of the Loom and corrupting the vast network of Vaults lying dormant. Originally armed to keep out any demonic influence, the various Hazards implemented now protect the forces of evil they once kept at bay.

new journey season 3

The Vaults are specialized dungeons that house elemental Hazards devised by Zoltun Kulle and Ayuzhan themselves. Amongst the Hazards lay The Constructs, an entirely new monster family. Several elemental variants of these monsters lurk in wait for any unsuspecting wanderers to fall into their mechanical clutches.

new journey season 3

Upon entering the Vault—after converting the required Pearls of Warding— you can be blessed by Zoltun’s Warding , a special layered blessing which grants access to riches within the Vaults. Zoltun’s Warding diminishes stack by stack if you manage to fall prey to the various Hazards scattered throughout the Vaults.

If you manage to keep Zoltun’s Warding intact after defeating the Vault Boss, you’ll unlock a Wardwoven Chest , which has a higher chance of granting Legendary items. Using Pearls of Warding can increase the risk by exchanging them for extra stacks of Zoltun’s Warding at the Vault entrance—succeed, and your reward will increase as well.

At World Tier III, Nightmare Vaults unlock. Vault Sigils will drop alongside typical Nightmare Dungeon Sigils, or they can be crafted which will require Pearls of Warding to create. These Vaults function similar to Nightmare Dungeons—however they will have deadly Constructs and Hazards scattered throughout, and the Wardwoven Chests for the savvy wanderer.

Staunch the Spread of Arcane Tremors

Malphas’ seeks to unleash deadly Constructs upon Sanctuary, pouring from the underground Vault to terrorize the innocents and sinful alike. Dismantle deadly traps, destroy Lesser and Elite Constructs to earn Shattered Stone. Dispatching Elite Constructs grants Pearls of Warding which can be used to earn higher valued rewards from replaying Vaults. Negate the Arcane Tremor by defeating the Vault’s mighty Herald Construct, securing a tenuous peace to the denizens above.

A new challenge arrives later in Season of the Construct. Fight through The Gauntlet , a weekly rotating fixed dungeon that will have you competing for the top spot on the leaderboards. Only the strongest will emerge to claim their place on the weekly leaderboards, the top weekly scores will earn their permanent place in the Hall of the Ancients. More details on the arrival of the Gauntlet will be available in a future blog.

new journey season 3

Helltides Endure

Starting in Season of the Construct, Helltides are always active, save for a 5-minute rest once per hour. Battle Hellspawn far more frequently, increasing your chances to collect Cinders and the bountiful rewards that come with them.

Enhanced Movement with W-A-S-D

Wanderers on PC can now navigate through the various wastes of Sanctuary by using the W-A-S-D keys on your keyboard, instead of your mouse. Enjoy the increased functionality of traversing through dungeons and above ground alike.

Extra Stash Tab

An extra Stash Tab is now available for your adventuring needs. Proceed to the Stash in any capital city to purchase an additional stash tab.

Seems lazy and unfun for non-summoners when a pet will probably do a large portion of your damage this season. With the current track record it'll release untested, and everyone will use the same broken combination for months. Shouldn't my character be getting stronger through the class I play and not through a non-class pet system with equally bland gain no matter what class I am?

Pet power instead of character power ? This season looks weak NGL. Hope it wont be.

'Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2' Updates on Kevin Costner's Future, Release Date, New Spinoffs and More!

W ith Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 on the horizon, the wait continues for fans eagerly anticipating the return of the Dutton family’s riveting story, but not without a silver lining.

While Paramount Network isn’t airing new episodes tonight, CBS is treating viewers to a trip down memory lane with Season 3 episodes. But that’s not all – the ‘Yellowstone’ universe is expanding with two spinoffs, intriguingly titled ‘1944’ and ‘2024’. While plot details remain under wraps, Variety hints that ‘2024’ might be the series to watch, especially with rumors of Matthew McConaughey joining the ‘Yellowstone’ family.

For those who can’t wait to dive back into the rugged landscapes and intense drama of ‘ Yellowstone ‘, all five seasons are available on Peacock Premium. Additionally, select Season 5 episodes are accessible on-demand via various streaming platforms including the Paramount Network website, Hulu + Live TV, and more. Fans can also own a piece of the ‘ Yellowstone ‘ legacy by purchasing individual episodes or complete seasons on Amazon.

Kevin Costner’s Future in ‘Yellowstone’: Uncertain Horizons

As the production of the final episodes of Season 5 approaches, questions arise about Costner’s participation. His commitment to the series has been a subject of legal contention, with reports of disagreements over creative aspects and shooting schedules.

Costner’s focus on his ambitious project ‘Horizon: An American Saga’ further adds to the uncertainty. Whether he will be part of ‘Yellowstone’s future spinoffs is still a matter of speculation.

EXCLUSIVE | 'The Chi' star Yolonda Ross says Jada is learning herself as a woman: 'I feel she's evolving'

Google Follow

Yolonda Ross's evolution and storyline have been the highlights of Season 3 of 'The Chi' so far. In her words, this was the start of her character, Jada's learning herself as a woman. Ahead of the premiere of Episode 2 of 'The Chi', the 45-year-old spoke to MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) exclusively where she dived into Season 3, the focus on women characters and the changes the audiences are in for.

The evolution of Jada

"The anticipation has been really high and just knowing what we shot last year for this season,  I'm very excited for people to see it," says Ross, sounding just as excited as the audience who have waited eagerly for the third installment. Her character, Jada, has had quite the journey in the past two seasons. Ross has been an integral part of the show since its inception and this time she said it was all about Jada's evolution and it was something the actor was thankful for.

"Each year, you're learning more about the character as they write more for her. It's a great feeling bringing a character to life from the beginning, and grow with them and color them. I'm just really thankful to be into the skin," she opined. "I feel Jada is evolving. She's learning herself as a woman," she added. "She's putting the mother, she's always a mother, but she is putting that part of her on the back burner and putting the woman upfront right now and taking care of the woman. She's evolving. She's learning herself again."

The start of a new journey

Season 3 opened with Nina (Tyla Abercrumbie) and Dre's (Miriam A. Hyman) wedding, which culminated with a dance. While Jada was seen to be reserved and quiet initially, she could be seen trying to groove to the music eventually and for Ross, that's the start of Jada moving ahead in life. "Even just from the way Jada looks in the first episode, I feel she's coming out," Ross explained. "She's glowing. She's open for love in her life and looking for adventure moving forward."

The connection

new journey season 3

Playing a character for two seasons means having to embrace the character. Transformational acting is something that has been discussed before, with actors highlighting some of the traits they could connect to with the characters they essay. For Ross, it was about Jada being as real as she can get.  "She's a very real person that I feel we all know," she remarked. "And that's what I really appreciate because those women are out in the world amongst us all the time, every day. I feel like you don't get the appreciation that they deserve. So I feel like Jada is that." She also added: "We're recognizing those women and applauding them with this character. So that in itself really made me want to play her and bring her to life and show those women off to the world.

A more women-focused season

In our interview with Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine ahead of the season premiere, it was revealed the focus would be on the women characters and Ross too shed light on the thought. "The last two seasons we were dealing with, the guys, the shooting, and that storyline really just focused on them, not on the women," she said. "At this point, I feel the storylines are intertwining more and the women are a big focus on that because the mothers of the children are there. It's just focused more on all of us. I feel not just the women, but all of our characters."

Intertwining storylines and Season 3

new journey season 3

"It doesn't feel like it's forced or it doesn't seem like it's a challenge," Ross said matter-of-factly. "There are situations that bring a lot of us together. Like the wedding was one where it made sense for a bunch of us to be in the same place, and the funeral was another. So, those kinds of events happen where you do see more of the people from your neighborhood or from your world. The rest of the season...it's not like we're all in the same scene, but. We intersect more."

"I feel this season of 'The Chi,' people can expect a lot of change that happens in life," Ross said echoing co-star Michael V Epps who felt the same way in an interview with MEAWW earlier. "And also, the character's growth in the storylines, deeper storylines which ultimately is just growth."

'The Chi' airs Sundays 9 pm ET on Showtime.

Bridgerton Season 3: Release Date, Cast, Trailers, News, and More

Things are heating up between Penelope and Colin

ffppnped-400x400.jpg

Queen Charlotte made the wait for  Bridgerton Season 3 a little easier to bear, but it's still been a long hiatus. Now, more than a year and a half after Season 2 premiered, we're finally getting news about when the upcoming chapter of the romance drama will launch. And Season 3 will be all about the love story between Penelope Featherington ( Nicola Coughlan ) and Colin Bridgerton ( Luke Newton ).

By the end of Season 2, Eloise Bridgerton ( Claudia Jessie ) and Penelope's friendship was on the rocks after Eloise realized Penelope was the one publishing a gossip column about the scandals in her family. To add to the tension, Eloise's blossoming relationship with Theo ( Calam Lynch ) was shattered, and Penelope's crush on Colin was dashed to pieces as well.

We did, at least, see a happy ending for Viscount Anthony ( Jonathan Bailey ) and the beautiful, independent Kate Sharma ( Simone Ashley ), who found love despite constantly butting heads in their tumultuous courtship. It's been confirmed that we will be seeing more of this love story in Season 3, along with the blossoming romance between Penelope and Colin. But not every cast member from the first two seasons will return.

Here is everything you need to know about Season 3 of Bridgerton .

Bridgerton  Season 3 release date

At last, we have the premiere dates for Bridgerton Season 3! On Dec. 12, Netflix announced that the upcoming chapter will be released in two parts: The first will launch on May 16, 2024, while the second will launch on June 13, 2024.

Bridgerton Season 3 trailer

No full trailer has been released yet, but the third season's premiere dates were announced in a new video that teases the drama's return. "Gentle reader, you thought I was silenced," Julie Andrews' Lady Whistledown says in a voiceover. "But you thought wrong."

Bridgerton Season 3 photos

At Tudum: A Global Fan Event  on June 17, Netflix shared the first photos of Season 3's main stars. In one image, Penelope, aka Lady Whistledown herself, stares pensively out the window. Pen's hair and dress look absolutely stunning.

In another photo, Pen gazes at Colin with longing, and let us just say this is the most chemistry we've seen between this pair.

Bridgerton Season 3 storyline

The first two seasons of the series coincided with the timeline of the books by Julia Quinn, but Netflix has confirmed that while they plan to cover each of the books in the show, Season 3 will be out of order in that sense. Season 3 will skip the third book,  An Offer From a Gentleman , which details Benedict's ( Luke Thompson ) journey for love, and instead move to book 4,  Romancing Mister Bridgerton , which focuses on Penelope and Colin's storyline.

And for those viewers disappointed that Season 2 didn't live up to the steamy precedent set by Daphne ( Phoebe Dynevor ) and the Duke ( Regé-Jean Page ) in Season 1, Nicola Coughlan has confirmed if the show follows the book, there will be plenty of racy scenes in Season 3 — so much that the actress is considering requesting a special PG cut for her family to watch, per Digital Spy . "There's a scene in the carriage. And it's just if they're sort of arguing, and then it all gets very romantic, shall we say, but I think it will be such a good scene in the show. It terrifies me to think of filming, but I think it would be really great," Coughlan said. "So I know that it gets extremely racy in that scene. I know already stuff that's gonna happen."

Netflix released the official Season 3 synopsis below:

"From Shondaland and new showrunner Jess Brownell,  Bridgerton  is back for its third season and finds Penelope Featherington has finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin Bridgerton after hearing his disparaging words about her last season. She has, however, decided it's time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters. But lacking in confidence, Penelope's attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly.

"Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger. But he's disheartened to realize that Penelope, the one person who always appreciated him as he was, is giving him the cold shoulder. Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly. Complicating matters for Penelope is her rift with Eloise, who has found a new friend in a very unlikely place, while Penelope's growing presence in the ton makes it all the more difficult to keep her Lady Whistledown alter ego a secret."

Bridgerton Season 3 casting

Nicola Coughlan will obviously be returning as Penelope Featherington, as will her love interest Colin, ex-bff Eloise, and other Bridgerton family members. However, the role of Francesca has been recast. Hannah Dodd will replace Ruby Stokes in the role, since Stokes moved on to star in Netflix's  Lockwood & Co.

Three new male actors have signed on for the new season:  Daniel Francis  ( Stay Close ) as Marcus Anderson,  Sam Phillips  ( The Crown ) as Lord Debling, and James Phoon ( Wreck ) as Harry Dankworth.

Hannah New  will play the young widow Lady Tilley Arnold, who enjoys being head of her late husband's estate and all of the financial, societal, and sexual freedom that comes with it.

Phoebe Dynevor's Daphne will not appear in Season 3. Regé-Jean Page, who played the smoldering Duke of Hastings in Season 1 but left the show for Season 2, will not be returning for Season 3, either.

Main cast members:

  • Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington
  • Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton
  • Claudia Jessie  as Eloise Bridgerton
  • Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton
  • Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma
  • Luke Thompson  as Benedict Bridgerton
  • Florence Hunt  as Hyacinth Bridgerton
  • Adjoa Andoh as Lady Agatha Danbury
  • Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte
  • Julie Andrews as the voice of Lady Whistledown

Bridgerton Season 3 clips

Nicola Coughlan, Claudia Jessie, and Luke Newton stopped by Netflix's Tudum in September 2022 to tease what's coming in Season 3 while making some "Bridgerton sibling portraits." Newton dished on why it has taken so long for Colin to realize that he and Penelope belong together, while Claudia made it clear that Eloise is still smarting over the fact that Penelope lied to her about Whistledown for so long.

Coughlan had the juiciest tidbit to reveal, though, when she read a sample of the first Lady Whistledown column from the Season 3 premiere, titled "Out of the Shadows." There are a few "dazzling" candidates for the diamond of the season, but based on what Coughlan revealed, we won't be too focused on any of them.

Netflix also posted some behind-the-scenes footage from filming, which began in summer 2022. The clips show some of our favorite members of the Ton getting ready to shoot Season 3.

Everything else to know

Season 3 won't be the last season! In April 2022,  Bridgerton was renewed for Season 4 . " Bridgerton  swept us off our feet," Bela Bajaria, Netflix's head of global TV, told Vanity Fair . She added that Netflix plans to "be in the  Bridgerton  business for a long time to come."

In December 2022, there were rumors about a delay in  Bridgerton  Season 3 filming over a conflict with the script. Tabloid sites like  Daily Mail  claimed the show's production was on hold due to producer Shonda Rhimes ordering some script changes to rewrite a "dark" storyline to put more "fun" back into the show. However, Netflix reportedly denied any delay to  Hello! Magazine .

Where to watch Bridgerton

Bridgerton Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Netflix. Season 3 Part 1 will be released on May 16, 2024, followed by Season 3 Part 2 on June 13, 2024.
