Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe (as Elvis) Officiates Wedding on Headbangers Boat Cruise
A full circle moment for the couple on the 11th anniversary of their first date

Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe turned the band’s inaugural Headbangers Boat cruise into a Vegas wedding chapel on Halloween night (October 31st). The singer officiated a wedding between two cruisers, giving them a metal memory that will last forever.
Headbangers Boat set sail from Miami earlier that day, and Blythe didn’t waste any time making the couple’s dreams come true.
As the story goes, the groom, Ro Kohli (who runs a company called War Machine Merchandise), couldn’t get into a Lamb of God show on Halloween night in 2012. Not wanting to spend the evening alone, he went on OK Cupid and found a match in the bride, Bic, and asked her out on a date. In a full circle moment, Blythe (dressed as Elvis Presley) married the couple exactly 11 years to the day of their first date.
Photographer Kevin Wilson is on board the Headbangers Boat cruise, and captured the nuptials, as seen in the pics above and below. Apparently, it was the first wedding that Blythe ever officiated.

Lamb Of God announce Headbangers Boat cruise featuring Mastodon, Hatebreed, Gwar and more
Who's ready to set sail with Lamb Of God on the first ever Headbangers Boat?

Richmond metal titans Lamb Of God have announced their very own cruise, taking place next winter and featuring a host of their metal chums that'll be along for the ride. Revealing the news on social media, Lamb Of God officially announced the first ever Headbangers Boat, which will set sail from Miami, Florida to Nassau in the Bahamas and take place from October 31 to November 4, 2023.
As well as Lamb Of God themselves, who will play two exclusive sets including a run through classic 2004 breakthrough album Ashes Of The Wake in full , the cruise will also feature sets from Atlanta riff machines Mastodon , metallic hardcore bruisers Hatebreed, gory alien freaks Gwar, New Wave Of American Heavy Metal mainstays Shadows Fall and God Forbid and deathcore crushers Fit For An Autopsy. There'll also be a live recording of Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta's popular podcast The Jasta Show , a Mark Morton solo performance, documentary screenings, a casino and poker tournament and more, with more bands also set to be added to the lineup.
Fans can register for the pre-sale before November 3 to secure your cabin at: http://headbangersboat.com
Lamb Of God are on the cover of the latest issue of Metal Hammer magazine , and frontman Randy Blythe revealed that when it comes to new Lamb Of God album Omens , he still likes to play his cards close to his chest when it comes to opening up about lyrics.
"I don’t really want to give the play-by-play on what each song is about because I think it robs each person of the experience of making that music their own," Randy tells Hammer . "I’m a huge music fan and I love the mystery behind some song lyrics. Like We Are 138 by The Misfits – I’m friends with Glenn Danzig, but nobody has ever really known what ‘138’ is. We just know that is what we are, as fans of that band! I don’t want to know the answer, because what that song means to him and what it means to me can be two vastly different things and what I feel about that song is just as valid as what he felt when writing it. I feel that way about our music – it is our music, but once we release it becomes everybody’s."

It’s gonna be a party for sure – see y’all somewhere in the Atlantic!"
"A thrash metal cruise vacation to the Bahamas? Hell yea! Headbangers Boat!," says Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton. "We’re stoked about this one y’all! Join us in a celebration of the heavy metal movement that these bands and these fans have been building for the last two decades. Lots of incredible bands with some more surprises announcing soon. LFG!"

LAMB OF GOD Release "Evidence" Single And Lyric Video; Inaugural Headbangers Boat Cruise Sets Sail October 31
October 6, 2023, 4 weeks ago
news heavy metal lamb of god

Back with a crushing anthem, Lamb Of God unleash a brand-new single entitled "Evidence". The Grammy Award-nominated metal titans originally recorded the song during the sessions for their acclaimed 2022 opus and ninth full-length LP, Omens. They’ve uncovered it in honour of the latter’s one-year anniversary today.
Regarding the single, vocalist Randy Blythe shared, “One of the more baffling aspects of modern day life is the conscious rejection of empirical facts in favour of Internet echo chamber emotional security blankets. Truth is not subjective, no matter how uncomfortable that makes some people. Art is though, so enjoy the song, however you may choose to interpret it.”
Exploding as a signature Lamb Of God pit-starter, "Evidence" barges in with a pummelling polyrhythmic groove fortified by airtight riffing. Against this backdrop, Blythe’s apocalyptic observations cut deep as he muses, “The road to hell is paved with bad concessions,” before repeating on the refrain, “The body politic has decomposed.” It culminates on one last burst of cathartic energy baptised in distortion and venomous screams.
Listen to "Evidence" here , and watch the lyric video below:
Alongside the new single, tomorrow Lamb Of God will share their Making Of: Omens documentary wide for the first time on the actual one-year anniversary mark of the album. Initially released last year on-demand for a limited one-month release alongside physical CD and vinyl merch bundles, this marks the wide-release of the inside look at the process of writing and recording the metal icons celebrated ninth album.
The documentary will be available starting at 8 PM, BST.
Lamb Of God just concluded a busy summer. They supported Pantera on the legendary band’s first headline tour since 2001, performing to sold out amphitheatres and sheds on a nightly basis. In between, they concurrently packed venues on their own headline jaunt across North America.
Next, Lamb Of God hit the high seas on their inaugural Headbangers Boat cruise, which sets sail from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas for a 4-day trip on Halloween, October 31st. The group will perform two sets on-board, including their classic album Ashes Of The Wake in its entirety.
A stellar collection of their metal brethren will also perform on board, including Mastodon, Testament, Hatebreed, GWAR, Malevolence, Bleed From Within, Municipal Waste, Shadows Fall, Lacuna Coil, God Forbid, Gatecreeper, Fit For An Autopsy, Vio-lence, Dying Wish plus a Mark Morton acoustic set (with friends). Other on-board delights include a DJ set from Killswitch Engage's Jesse Leach, comedy from Frank Castillo and Steve Furey, a poker tournament hosted by LOG's John Campbell (he'll also play the winner), a drum off hosted by LOG's Art Cruz, theme nights, a tattoo studio including celebrity tattoo artists, Black Label bingo, a BrewDog alcoholic/non-alcoholic beer tasting hosted by LOG frontman Randy Blythe (who'll also be doing an In Conversation/Q&A event and there's a photo gallery featuring his iconic photography), a battleshots tournament, tales galore from Riki Rachtman during 'One Foot In The Galley', karaoke, trivia quiz with Jose Mangin, Guitar Hero Mornings, and photo/autograph opportunities.
Outside of all that, also on the ship fans can enjoy the spa, swimming pool, hot tubs, jogging track, casino, fitness centre, sports courts, over a dozen restaurants and bars, a screening of LOG's Making Of: Omens documentary, and there's a wide range of possible excursions while on shore in the Bahamas (even swimming with pigs in the crystal blue ocean!). This immersive, hell-raisin' trip is the ultimate holiday for the metal fan. The cruise is sold out, with attendees from 21 countries travelling for it, but you can get more info and/or join the waiting list for any cancellations here .

Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe (as Elvis) Officiates Wedding on Headbangers Boat Cruise

The post Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe (as Elvis) Officiates Wedding on Headbangers Boat Cruise appeared first on Consequence .
In addition to featuring headliner Lamb of God, the Headbangers Boat boasts performances from GWAR, Mastodon, Testament, and more. It’s making a stop at Nassau, Bahamas, before returning to Miami on November 4th.
