The Limestone Caves excursion starts from Port Blair, through 100 km of a lush rainforest reserve. A vehicle ferry will take you from Middle Strait to Baratang Island. The Coral Safari Semi Submarine Ride is ideal, for those who want to explore the awesome marine life, off the coasts of the Andaman Islands, without getting their ‘beaks’ wet. The Dormant Volcano of Narcondam Island:

256 km northeast of Port Blair is the dormant volcano of Narcondam Island. ‘Narcondam’ is coined from the word of the Tamil language - ‘Naraka Kundam’, or the pit of hell. As per the Andaman Island authorities, it is a wildlife sanctuary and a protected reserve. The Narcondam Hornbill is endemic to the island, along with Narcondam small flying fox and other species of birds and animals. Divers can explore the massive barrel sponges, huge gorgonian fans, and lush soft corals.

The Active Mud Volcanoes of Andaman Islands:

A mud volcano is caused by the eruption of hot mud, slurries, gases, and water from the ground, forming a dome-like mud structure.

In the Andaman Islands, you will find mud volcanoes at Diglipur and Baratang. Both are accessed, via passages through lush green rainforests.

Turtle Nesting:

Close to Diglipur town is the Kalipur beach, which is world-famous, as the nesting site for four highly endangered species of turtles, viz. – Olive Ridley, Leather Back, Hawk Bill, and Green Turtles. The nesting season is October to March. The nesting happens after sunset. Do not make any noise or disturbance, as you will distract the turtles, who could be laying their eggs.

Flight: Flights are by far the most widely used transportation method to reach the islands. Flights are faster and you can reach here in under 2-3 hours, given that you are booking a direct flight from your city. ‍ Direct flights are available from Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Vishakapatnam, and, Hyderabad. If you are from other states, you'll probably have to get a connecting flight to the islands. In this case, its better to choose one with less overlay time so you don't get tired before reaching here, especially if you are planning to start the tour on the arrival day itself. The pricing for flight changes a lot and can range from Rs.3500 (If booked early) to Rs.7500 (If booked just before arrival). Ship: Ship is one of the most inexpensive way to reach Andaman, but it takes a lot of time to reach here. A ship in general takes around 2-3 days to reach the islands, given the weather is suitable. All ships to Andaman depart from Chennai, Vishakapatnam or Kolkata and takes almost the same time to reach here. ‍ Ship journey is mostly preferred by locals as the prices are discounted, but tourists can book the tickets too. The prices range from INR 1500-3500 for different classes, and a bit more for the food and water. This is the reason why flight is always recommended over ship.

Being frequent wanderers, my friends and I planned to go for a venturesome vacation, away from the demanding city life. After checking out our dream destination list, we ended up searching Andaman tour packages on the internet. I had been following TravelTriangle facebook page and used to check numerous lucrative packages. We visited their website where we could customize our Andaman packages. We wanted our experience to be more adventurous than luxurious, we mentioned our requirements at TravelTriangle website and soon our Travel expert shared an itinerary with us, planned according to our requirements. We booked our Andaman travel packages via TravelTriangle which included airfares, transfers, cabs, stay, snorkeling, guide fee and entry tickets to monuments and museums.

We arrived at Port Blair airport from where we were escorted to our hotel by the travel representative. We visited Cellular Jail and Corbyn Cove Beach on our first day of Andaman tour . The light and sound show at Cellular jail induced a surge of patriotism amongst us. We experienced a mild rain shower at Corbyn Cove Beach but it didn't impact our excitement rather gave us a few unexpected cherishing moments.

On the second day, we planned for Scuba diving for which we travelled to Havelock via ferry. Here we ventured into the deep water for about 30 minutes organized by the diving centre near our resort. It was an invigorating experience which was followed by the breathtaking views of RadhaNagar Beach. We could feel the fresh sea breeze and spent some lazy time, relaxing at the beach.

Next day, we went to the Elephant Beach, a popular destination for water sports. We started our day with sea walking and snorkeling which made us admire the corals, marine plants and starfishes, followed by jet skiing amidst the turquoise-blue water of sea. Later, we went for a balloon ride that offers bird’s eye view of this immaculate place. Our next destination was Neil Island where we headed to Bharatpur Beach and took a glass-bottom boat ride. We enjoyed the vibrant corals and fishes through the bottom of our boat. Later we went to Laxmanpur beach clad in white shell sand and Howrah bridge which is a bridge-like rock with two living natural corals. The same day we came back to Port Blair. Our stress buster expedition reached its end and we enjoyed every minute spent at this beautiful yet adventurous place.

I love travelling as that's the easiest way to refresh the mind, body and soul. Being a doctor by profession keeps me quite busy and travelling is an escape I seek to rejuvenate. Our Andaman holidays commenced with our arrival at Port Blair airport. We spent our first day in Andaman sight-seeing and exploring Port Blair. Next day we headed to the Baratang Island, driving through the tropical forests of the island. We also met members of Jarwa tribe which was truly an exhilarating experience. After reaching Baratang Island, we took a boat ride which lead us to the Limestone Caves.

On the third day, we took a ferry to Havelock Island which was a mesmerizing experience.We had a candlelight dinner at the resort and admired the impeccable beauty of this place. Next day, we went to Neil Island and explored its many gems. One of the most beautiful experiences of our Andaman tour was visiting the Chidiyatapu Sunset point. We also went to TSG Bella Bay and enjoyed the amazing dinner and music. On our last day of Andaman vacations we went to Ross Island before heading to the airport.

Its believed that Andaman is usually visited by honeymooning couples but I enjoyed holidaying at Andaman with my family as it enthralled each one of us irrespective of our age and taste. Being a travel enthusiast, I had explored around 22 states of India and received numerous trekker awards for my passion and craving of biking and trekking tours. On my first day in Andaman, I went to Corbyn’s Cove, a serene place surrounded by jet-skis. Next day, I boarded a cruise to Havelock where the mesmerizing beauty of sea and cool breeze revived my soul. Later in the evening, I went to the local market followed by a night party at a Beach resort.

Next day, I went to Kala Pathar beach and spent time relaxing in the peace of RadhaNagar Beach. It was this day when I went for the most-awaited Scuba diving and the glance of marine life was prodigious. Later, I went to Ross Island, the former headquarters of the British Colony. Travelling has been my passion for the past years but the experience I cherished at Andaman Islands was one of its kinds.

· All passengers who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated traveling to Port Blair shall have to mandatorily carry RT-PCR negative test, subject to the condition that RT-PCR should have been taken within 48 hours.

· All visitors who are vaccinated completely (regardless of the classification of vaccine and country of origin) shall be exempted to bring the RT-PCR report. Travellers need to produce show the the final vaccination certificate at the origin airport and Port Blair airport. You don’t need to carry a printout of the double vaccination report & a soft copy is all you require to show

· Maintaining social distance and wearing a mask wherever asked is necessary for your and everybody else’s safety.

2) Required Documents:

· Identity card issued by the department, driving license, Aadhar Card, or any other identity proof card is necessary to carry. No passport/visa/permission is required.
