Kailash Mansarovar Yatra happens once in a lifetime. In Hinduism, the idea of spirituality drives the pilgrims to perform religious acts. Tour Itinerary

Sanga: Hotel Sanga with attach bathroom or Similar, Manasarovar - Guest House, Darchen - Hotel Himalayan with bathroom, Deraphuk and Zulphuk - New Guest House

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival (1400m) – Overnight in Kathmandu

Your Arrival Time – Airport pickup and transfer to your Hotel.

Briefing in the evening

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

After Breakfast – Full day sightseeing of Pashupatinath Temple, Shaktipeeth and Budhanilkantha.

A short briefing about Kailash Manasarovar Yatra before dinner. Packing and preparation for the trip

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Hotel: 3 Star Hotel – Hotel Akama  or similar

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche or Syabrubesi or Timure/ Rasuwa Gadi

Drive to Dhunche (2000m / 127 km / 6 hrs) or Syabrubesi (1600m / 141 km / 7 hrs) or Timure (1983m / 152 km / 8hrs) . Overnight stay Lodge. (Breakfast at the Hotel Lunch Packed/ en route service (depending upon the rush) and dinner in Guest House)

Day 04: Drive to Kerung County. (2850m)

Drive to Rasuwagadi (1800m / 15 km / 45 min from Syabrubesi) or 10 to 15 minute walk to border from timure, then complete immigration & custom formalities in Nepal & Tibet side at Rasuwagadhi, and then continue further drive to Kerung county (2850m) – 1 hrs / 40 km. Overnight stay Guesthouse.

Day 05: Drive to Saga (4550m)

After Breakfast – Drive to Saga (250 km – 5 to 6 hrs).

Enjoy the grand view of Mt. Shishapangma(8021mt High) Gauri Shankar and other high mountains from Gurung –La Pass(5050mt.high)  Sanga,

Hotel: Saga Hotel or similar.

Day 06: Drive from Saga to Mansarovar Lake (4550m)

 Drive towards Manasarovar Lake (400km – 6 – 7hrs) crossing beautiful places and stay at the shore of the Lake. Fill spiritual water. Parikrama of Manasarovar Lake by vehicle (3 hrs – 90 km).Very auspicious day for all people Who will have first glimpse of Holy Manasarovar and view of Mt. Kailash from Horchu Pass. Overnight stay Lodge at Chhu Gompa  at the shore of lake Manasarovar Meal: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Dinner

Hotel: Mansarovar Lake Side Lodge (Lodge Stay)

Day 07: Drive to Darchen (4650m)

Most of the day – Perform Puja (prayer ritual) at Manasarovar Lake

Drive to Darchen (35km – 1hrs)

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Hotel: Dormitory Sharing Guest House.

Day 08: First Day of Outer Kora – Trek to Dirapuk (4860m)

AM  – After a short drive, we will reach Tarboche and visit Yama Dwar. This is the starting point for Kora. We will trek to Dirapuk (4860 m) which is 12 kms trek (5-6 hrs). (You will visit the North face of Mt. Kailash and touching the feet of Mt. Kailash (Charan Sparsh). – optional with add on cost and permission depends upon the China Government permission_ . Travelers who do not want to trek around (Parikrama) Kailash can go back to Darchen and wait for the rest of the group to arrive from Parikrama.

Meal: Breakfast at Darchen, Packed Lunch, Dinner.

Hotel: Mud house on the way during Parikrama or Stay in Dormitory Guest House at Darchen

Note : For those Pilgrims not opting for the Parikrama will stay at Darchan Guest House

Day 09: Second Day of Outer Kora – On to Zuthulphuk (4670m) with Trek to Dolma La Pass   

Trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and proceed to Zuthulphuk (22 km trek for 8-9 hours trek). This is the most difficult journey throughout the yatra since you have to trek up to the 5700 ft. From descend to Gaurikund and further trek along the river to Zuthul-puk.

Meal: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Dinner

Hotel: Stay at the Lodge (Zuthul-puk)

Note: If you are not doing Parikrama, then you will still be waiting at Darchen Enjoy various shades of Kailash 7 perform Meditation/Yoga optional)

Day 10: Drive to Saga (4550m – 470kms – 7-8hrs)

08:00 AM – After a short Trek (8kms – 2 – 3hrs) and reach the point where the coach will be waiting, we will drive to Darchen and join with other members who were waiting and drive to Saga. (470kms – 7-8hrs)

Hotel: Saga Hotel or similar

Day 11: Drive back to Kerung(2850m – 220 km – 5 to 6 hrs).

Back journey, drive to Kerung County. Overnight stay at Guesthouse

(Breakfast at Saga and dinner in Kerung with Lunch en route)

Day 12: Drive to Kathmandu (1400m)

Drive from Kyirung to the border (40kms – 1hrs) and completing immigration formalities drive back to Kathmandu – around 7-8 hr / 152 km. At kathmandu hotel – Certificate of completion will be provided to you from NTP.

Hotel:  Star Hotel – Hotel or similar

Day 13: Transfer to Kathmandu Airport

You will be free till your flight time. We will drop you at the Airport 3 hours before flight time (30 mins drive).

Note: – Due to weather condition sometimes you may not be able to make your flight at your scheduled time. So we recommend you to keep one day additional while returning and please make sure your ticket is flexible to change your date.

Important Note: Foreign Passport Holders need to arrive to Kathmandu 03 Working days before the fixed dates (Day 01 in the itinerary) for the Chinese Visa (Saturday and Sunday is not considered as working days). For Indian Passport, we will need their passport 07 working days before the trip in Delhi office. Please make sure that the Indian Passport Holder’s have Voters Card with them.

Process, Term& Condition

• Necessary to send color Scan copy of Passport of pilgrimage with name list 40 days before departure for permits processing.
• We need 6 Month valid ordinary Passport but Diplomat passport is not acceptable.
• We need Yatri’s scan copy of PAN card (Indian citizen only).
• Should non refundable deposit Rs 20,000 or USD $ 500 per person as advance before processing.
• Underutilized services due to unforeseen circumstances stands non refundable
• Indian pilgrimage- Should send Original Passport to our Delhi office By courier or speed post 15 days before from the departure date for China visa Process.
• NRI/Other Citizen’s Original Passport will collect after arrival in Kathmandu.
• Indian Pilgrims who are 70 Years or above:
• Has to submit Medical Report from Indian Government Hospital within 6 months before your journey starts.
• Two direct relatives required.

Oxygen cylinder: Our Company will provide oxygen cylinder in emergency. Usually, oxygen cylinder is not required. However, some pilgrimage we prefer to carry their own handy oxygen cylinders. You may buy small portable cylinder in Tibet. It may cost approx. Yuan 20-30 per cylinder.

• Food during Tour: Our cooks will be traveling with you during the entire trip.Our Staff will carry all necessary cooking items and will provide Indian vegetarian food during Yatra..

Basic Preparation Before Going To Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a lifetime accomplishment for the devotee. Those who want to attain liberation or nirvana in their life take refuge to the heavenly abode of Lord Shiva. Thousands of devotees advance to the world of spirituality to seek inner peace. It is said that the devotees attain mental peace taking a break from the scheduled life.

The pilgrims devote their life to undertake such arduous journey to seek blessings. The pilgrims take the refuge to the beautiful hills of Kailash for acquiring the inner happiness. For Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, you have to go through certain altitude. For the advanced level of preparation one has to go through mental as well as physical hardships. Without enduring such penury, it would be difficult for the devotees to complete the circumambulation around the Kailash.

Basic preparatory strategies

• Every day schedule your exercise at least for 20 minutes to avoid any kind of physical strain during the journey. The exercise includes walking, running, swimming, or cycling etc.​
• ​With regular exercise, start training with basic equipment of trekking like weights, backpack. This kind of strenuous training is required for the overall management of strength. You should have strong back and shoulders to carry out such tireless journey across the mountains.
• Firstly you have to understand there is a difference in the path. Trekking along the mountainous terrain is quite difficult. So while walking or running on the treadmill it is better to walk or run on an inclined plane.
• At least 7-8 months prior to the journey, start preparing yourself.
• Get your cholesterol, blood pressure, sugar level check on a regular basis.
• If you have asthma, then you must take special care.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a strenuous pilgrimage that requires a proper balance between mind and soul. You have to undertake the journey under adverse climatic conditions. Therefore, you have to think about the extremities and make yourself prepared to go close to Mother Nature.

Best time to go for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

Due to the extreme climatic conditions, it is favorable not to travel during the winters and the monsoons. As the pilgrims will do the parikrama across the lake and the mountains, then time should be selected a way when the Indo Tibet pathways are not blocked. From mid of May till October, the tourists find out the best climatic conditions to trek across the mountainous terrains. As it is a lifetime opportunity to travel in such an exquisite landscape location, then one should decide the perfect time of traveling. The astounding scenic beauty of the topography will make you fall in love with space.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra can be conducted either by roadway or by air. On air, the pilgrims will take comparatively less time than that by road. Apart from this, the pilgrims prefer to take the journey during the ordained period of full moon. The silvery beam of moonlight will make Mt. Kailash more beautiful to witness.

Personal travel insurance is not included in the trip price. It is a condition of booking a trip with NTP Tourism Affairs Limited , and your own responsibility to ensure that you are adequately insured for the full duration of the trip.

 Cancellation Policy

The cancellation will take effect subject to the following:

90-150 days prior to departure date: full payment refund except non-refundable deposit of INR10000

45-90 days prior to departure date: 75% of your payment refund except the non-refundable deposit.

If cancellation takes place less than 45 days prior to departure due to client’s personal problems, all previously paid amount(s) will be forfeited.
