Our Last Night first rose to fame in the 2010s, covering hit songs like Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive,” “Stay” by Rihanna, and Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.” While they’ve released a handful of albums on their own over the years, they’re still very well known for their covers, playing rock versions of today’s chart-topping tracks like Sza’s “Kill Bill,” “Golden Hour” by JVKE, and Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero.”

In 2022, the band dropped Decades of Covers , featuring classic songs throughout the years like The Chicks’ “Landslide,” “Numb” by Linkin Park, and Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill.” Additionally, they released Disney Goes Heavy , offering heavy versions of Disney’s famous “Be Our Guest,” “Part of Your World,” and “Hakuna Matata.”

From the 7th to the 18th of December 2016, the group played in the opening act for Yellowcard on their farewell tour.

The group’s music features simple, alien-inspired melodies that are comparable to the new works of Bring Me the Horizon, but also to Five Finger Death Punch and Papa Roach. The group plays post-hardcore with influences from alternative rock, which in phases can even go through as mass-suited stadium rock.

Music + concerts, music + concerts | madonna kicks off five-night celebration tour run in inglewood. yes, she was on time., the music icon's latest outing is a stunning affair that covers four decades of hits and controversy with ferocious flair..

our last night tour opening act

After what she describes as a “near-death experience” last summer, global music legend Madonna was finally able to launch her career-spanning Celebration Tour in October of last year .

The 65-year-old singer, songwriter and actress postponed the jaunt by a few months following a serious bacterial infection that she told the crowd during her first of five nights at Kia Forum in Inglewood on Monday, March 4 had left her in a medically-induced coma for 48 hours.

“My children are the reason I kept going, honestly,” she said. “I owe them a big thank you.”

Though some fans have been blasting Madonna for being “fashionably late” to her own shows on this outing — with a few even getting together to sue her and promoter Live Nation for her tardiness — she was on stage by 9:40 p.m. Monday night with a brood of incredible dancers that kicked things off with “Nothing Really Matters,” “Everybody” and “Into the Groove.” The Celebration Tour continues at Kia Forum on March 5, 7, 9 and 11 before heading to Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert on March 13.

Madonna (pictured performing on The Celebration Tour at Barclays Center...

“I’m about to tell you the story of my life,” she told the crowd before strapping on an electric guitar to play one of the first songs she ever learned on the instrument, “Burning Up.” You’ll have to actually go see the show to hear the story behind just how she learned to play guitar because I can’t repeat it here and, well, it’s better when Madonna tells it, or acts it out.

This tour truly is a jaw-dropping spectacle that has so many moving parts and memorable moments jam-packed into a two-and-a-half-hour program. Technically, she played 26 songs, but there were so many musical Easter eggs hidden throughout the show that were revealed within the multiple acts as remixes or snippets of other Madonna songs or covers. And her dancers are an eclectic group of humans that deliver unbelievably entertaining performances. They engage with the audience and compliment the Queen of Pop as she transitions from era to era via a myriad of elaborate costumes and they indulge both the boundary-pushing sexual content and bold activism that she’s unapologetically shared with the masses for decades.

It’s a family affair, too. Madonna’s son David Banda joined her on guitar for “Mother and Father” and daughter Mercy James played piano during “Bad Girl.” For “Vogue,” Madonna brings out a special guest each evening to help judge her dancers as they catwalk down the stage, showing off their best moves. Monday night’s guest was actor and TV show host Eric André , who bared his buns for a quick spanking with a riding crop before judging the eager contestants who were being hyped up by the evening’s emcee, Bob the Drag Queen.

The production and lighting for this tour is insane. The stage itself is massive and includes several pit areas for fans and a trio of catwalks for Madonna and her dancers to play. The main stage area houses a huge light ring and a ginormous disco ball, which got plenty of use during the evening. There was a spinning carousel-like chapel on stage for “Like a Prayer,” a huge video cube that Madonna laid upon for “Bedtime Story” and bright beams of light were used to make three boxing rings on the stage, where dancers were mock-fighting with glittery gloves during “Erotica” into “Justify My Love.” She also gives the fans in the higher sections a better view of herself as she steps into an illuminated frame that lifts her into the air and moves her out and across the arena.

Throughout the evening Madonna’s commentary was quirky and funny, but she made sure to sincerely thank the audience for continuing to show up and support her. Through the music and her words she shared what was important to her by paying tribute to artists such as Prince and Michael Jackson. Also causes that she’s passionate about, including LGBTQ+ rights and she paid homage to AIDS victims during the emotional “Live to Tell.”

Madonna herself was nonstop throughout the evening, dancing, singing and playfully joking around with her dancers and the crowd. “Hung Up” and “Ray of Light” became massive dance parties and “Express Yourself” and “Crazy For You” were just a wave of nostalgia.

As the show moved from decade to decade, Madonna brought out a person clad in fashion appropriate for that particular era, that was representative of herself. They became a symbol throughout the evening of this artist, this person, who shared both triumphs and heartbreak through song and dance.

During a video montage that rapidly went through the various media controversies surrounding Madonna throughout the years, it ended with Madonna expressing “the most controversial thing I’ve ever done is to stick around.”

The Doobie Brothers Replacing Steely Dan as Opening Act for Eagles’ Final 2023 Tour Dates

by Matt Friedlander November 15, 2023, 4:30 am

The Eagles will finish off the 2023 leg of their Long Goodbye farewell tour with three shows… November 14, in Lexington, Kentucky, and a November 17-18 stand in St. Paul, Minnesota. However, instead of Steely Dan opening the concerts as originally announced, The Doobie Brothers will be serving as the support act for the dates .

Videos by American Songwriter

As previously reported, Steely Dan initially had been announced as the opening act for the Eagles’ entire Long Goodbye Tour, but because of unspecified health issues that frontman Donald Fagen has been experiencing, the Dan hasn’t played any of the last nine shows on the trek.

[RELATED: The Eagles Add Second Shows to Four 2024 Tour Stops; Doobie Brothers to Open Band’s Next Two Concerts]

A series of fill-in acts has been supporting the Eagles on their dates since Steely Dan’s last appearance, on September 20, with The Doobie Brothers initially signing on last week to open the Eagles’ shows on November 7 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and November 9 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Late last week, it was announced that The Doobies also would support the Eagles at the Lexington concert, and now the veteran rockers have confirmed that they’ll be performing at the St. Paul gigs as well.

Prior to The Doobie Brothers’ stint as fill-in opener, Sheryl Crow, Steve Miller Band, Eagles touring member Vince Gill, and Tedeschi Trucks Band all stepped in for Steely Dan as the support act at various shows.

The Eagles are scheduled to launch a 2024 leg of their Long Goodbye Tour on January 5 in Inglewood, California. Next year’s trek currently features 21 dates, and as of now, Steely Dan is still slated to open the shows.

Shortly before joining the Eagles tour, The Doobie Brothers wrapped up a 2023 Canadian leg of their 50th anniversary headlining trek with an October 28 concert in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Since May, the band has been performing without its co-founding singer/guitarist Tom Johnston , who is recovering from back surgery.

Tickets will be available through  Stubhub  where orders are 100% guaranteed through Stubhub’s FanProtect program.

Commenting on The Who Hits Back! Tour , Roger Daltrey says, “Pete and I said we’d be back, but we didn’t think we’d have to wait for two years for the privilege. This is making the chance to perform feel even more special this time around. So many livelihoods have been impacted due to Covid, so we are thrilled to get everyone back together – the band, the crew and the fans.  We’re gearing up for a great show that hits back in the only way The Who know how.  By giving it everything we’ve got.”

The Who’s wildly successful 2019 MOVING ON! Tour brought the band’s iconic brand of incomparable rock through 29 cities, including a rollicking sold-out show in Boston’s historic Fenway Park ( above ), and a memorable Seattle show where Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder joined them onstage for a rousing version of ‘The Punk And the Godfather’. The tour generated the most unanimous outpouring of acclaim from critics and fans of any live rock show in 2019, winning raves across North America for the orchestral dynamic as well as the duo’s cathartic rock firepower and intimate acoustic numbers. “They’re not getting older. They’re getting better. You better, you better, you bet.” hailed the Worcester Telegram , with Pollstar Magazine affirming “Daltrey is in peak form, and so is Townshend, lavishing his trademarked windmill guitar motion.”

' src=

No Detroit show ??? 😲😥 Don’t mean to sound selfish, but I turned 52 yesterday, & I’ve never seen The Who.😟 Who? THE WHO 🤘👏⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✌🏻💜🌹

' src=

It’s a shame tickets are so expensive. Especially for those of us that have been fans for almost half a century. I would love to see them again in Cincinnati to let them know how much we love & support them…The Who rocks!!!

' src=

Is this an all ages show? My daughters favorite band and it would be her dream to see them live. We would be attending the Boston event.

Yes, it is, Rachelle. But worth checking with the individual venues.

' src=

Looks like there will be no UK Tour in 2022. I had tickets for one of the cancelled shows during Covid. Luckily I saw the Tour at Wembley Stadium. Still seeing Roger at the Palladium in July should keep me going.

' src=

So excited!!

Think lucky, Be lucky

' src=

What is the presale code for the Cincinnati show?

Fan Club pre-sale access codes will be emailed to you at 8.00am local time Wednesday 9th February.

Fantastic news from The Who especially for the USA fans Disappointing for the UK fans being pushed back again after cancelling the UK leg of the moving on tour.. Hope its because they don’t want to clash with Rogers solo tour.. But certainly look forward to seeing the videos and pictures from the gigs in the USA… Enjoy..

' src=

I was at this concert December 3, 1979 Cincinnati’s riverfront coliseum . It was a cold night close to 20,000 people waiting outside of the doors when the stadium personnel finally decided to open the doors they only opened for doors for all the people to go through the crowd began pushing and shoving to get towards the doors because they Heard the music starting to play and they began to push from the back towards the front and this continued back and forth in the crowd until people in the front got pushed right through the windows as I got pushed back and forth I turned around and ran back to the edge of the Colosseum rail to get out of the crowd that was squishing everybody when I got to the back I saw a bunch of people laying on the ground with paramedics around them none of them were moving I waited for the crowd to disperse and go inside I lost one of my shoes in the process of getting out of the crowd I told myself I would find it when I go inside when I got inside the door there was at least 10,000 shoes laying on the ground that had been trampled off of peoples feet rushing to get in luckily I found a pair of shoes rather large I jumped in them and went on into the concertI didn’t realize until the next day that all those people I saw up on the walkway had died from being squished that was the worst part of the night the concert was great!

' src=

One of the most original bands to front rock music! That’s right, front! Innovative, classical, and using instruments that only our ears would know. “WHO’S NEXT,” we are! Looking forward to hearing and seeing Pete Townshend put his moves all over the stage, Roger!!!

I first saw them in Pontiac Michigan at the Silverdome on their first FAREWELL TOUR in 1982.I met Roger Daltrey in Heathrow Airport that December. He was a perfect gentleman!! I next saw them at Live Aid in London in 1985. I’ve only missed ONE tour since!

' src=

Thanks for coming to boston!

' src=

We love THE WHO–love hockey–and, are a longtime Capital One Cardholders. But, please, in support of the Ukranian people, don’t play Capital One Arena–because Capital One Arena forbids flags, banners, or signs supporting Ukraine (a number of their Russian players and their wives have actively supported Putin and his “WAR”). Better yet, play the venue–fly the Ukrainian flag–and make a statement. Musicians can make a difference–remember South Africa. P.S.: here in Detroit we haven’t forgotten what you did for Gleaners Food Bank–thank You.

' src=

Is this concert going to be any different from the moving on tour?

' src=

Come to Nashville

' src=

No worries about Mexico. They will be coming to the US real soon.

Why are you performing at venues with vax mandates? Half of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania only had one dose. Your fans!

So sorry to miss your tour for the first time.🌺

' src=

Any dates for Montreal Canada

' src=

No Bay Area concerts. San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland is a huge metro area with a lot of people. It’s hard to believe you won’t come play for us. 🙁

' src=

Going to opening night tomorrow at the Hard Rock in Hollywood! Will there be an opening act?

Yes, the opening act is Leslie Mendelson.

' src=

I wish Pete was writing some new songs, especially now that Roger’s voice is different than it was 50 years ago. I hope that there is some new material.

' src=

No performance in Cleveland, home of the Rock n Roll Hall of fame, but two others in Ohio that are 2-5 hours away. Have some respect for the Rock Hall. The Who and the Rock Hall are a perfect match. Imagine the marketing and publicity. Do the event planners have any creativity?

' src=

Who’s the opening act in Tampa?

Leslie Mendelson opens for us in Tampa.

' src=

Who opens for you in Dallas this week?

Los Lonely Boys

Do you have an opening act in Dallas this week?

Hi Brandon, our special guests for all shows can be found here https://www.thewho.com/the-who-announce-special-guests-for-their-2022-north-american-tour/

' src=

Is there an opening act in Austin? What are the Set times?

' src=

Awesome concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in the Woodlands outside Houston, TX. Although Pete (“Don’t call me Peter”)was a tad under the weather with his voice, Roger absolutely nailed it tonight.

Having been at the aborted Houston concert back in 2019 when Roger had his attack of good old Texas hay fever, it has been my mission for the last two and a half years to see these guys again. Even had plans to see them in Manchester UK (needless to say, COVID stopped that adventure).

For a pair of old farts, they can still ROCK! And, the supporting members ain’t too shabby either.

Thanks Roger and Pete – 47 years after first seeing The Who, you guys still have it!

' src=

Who opens tonight in Memphis?

' src=

Is there an opening act for the concert in Philly on 20 May? If so, who?

Hi Jack, it’s Amythyst Kiah.

' src=

Who is opening up for you guys? Especially on May 20th in Philly?

' src=

For those who can read, 4 OCTOBER LITTLE CAESARS ARENA, DETROIT, MI

' src=

Just finished seeing Boston, Philadelphia and 2 New York shows. That makes 76 group and solo shows in my 55 years as a Who fan. Awesome as always. Still the greatest and always will be. LONG LIVE THE WHO!!!

Saw Boston,Philadelphia and both New York shows.Have seen 76 group and solo shows in 52 years.Still the greatest.LONG LIVE THE WHO!!!

' src=

Saw The Who at Bethel Woods! They were there 53 years ago! They sounded so GREAT!

' src=

I remember when my friends used to see you all at the Railway Hotel when you were the High Numbers – our favourite band and great memories. Living in US now 👍 would love to see you perform at Anaheim and reminisce 😀

Roger: did you work for Mr. Whale at the sheet metal company in Southall? His daughter and I are still best friends

Correction to my last message from Jill – Mr. Whale’s sheet metal company was in Southall. Was that where you worked? Did you ever go to Hammersmith Palais or Guy Haywards? We used to see the Animals at the Oldfield Hotel in Greenford, also Rod Stewart at Wembley Town Hall and Georgie Fame at the Flamingo in Wardour Street

' src=

I just turned 60 years young and my youngest son of 25 decided to take his dad to see a band I have not seen since 1979 here in Detroit. My son and I both are disabled veterans and it takes us time to prepare for a lot of walking and stair climbing together but we manage without complaint. I really was not expecting what I witnessed considering Daltry is 78 and Townshend 77. However to my astonishment they both as we say here in Detroit “KILLED IT” These multi talented gents and their colleagues of 22 people that I could count on the stage at one time Rocked Detroit and then thanked the audience for purchasing tickets for a show during g the week, drove in hectic traffic, paid high parking fees, walked at least a mile to come out to see them preform. I have seen more than 300 concerts in 5 counties and worked as an usher in the late 70’s and early 80’s but that is something I have never ever heard a performer say. To show gratitude in your fans is one thing but to clarify your understanding of how difficult things have been in and around our country here in the states was nothing short of empathy consideration and respect. I wish all of you who preformed tonight continued success and healthy happy lives as many members of the band will have continued bright futures as well. Thank you for a wonderful evening of solid rock music entertainment.

' src=

Very disappointed there is no stop planned for San Diego. It’s the 2nd largest city in California and there are many fans who would love a chance to see the Who.

' src=

Child,I was at your concert in La Courneuve in 1972 (200 000 people)…fantastic ! I am very sad that your long and exceptional version of My generation/Join together in Paris june 1979 was never edited…I have conserved it with a pirate record.Paris 1997 (two days at the Zenith for Quadrophenia tour) 2007 and 2013 (Bercy) exceptional…From France.

' src=

This is an excellent show. I am very appreciative that I was able to attend this excellent show. And the orchestra accompaniment, with the band’s excellent performances was amazing!

' src=

Saw you November 4, 2022 at Dolby Live in Las Vegas. I expected it to be a good show, but it was far beyond good. It was phenomenal. I’d love to buy a video of your tour performance if you decide to produce one. Also, one last note. I loved the opening act, the Wild Things. A truly memorable evening.

All About Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Opening Acts

The singer is bringing along some of her closet friends for the Eras Tour, including Gracie Abrams and Owenn

our last night tour opening act

Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour has included some of her closest friends .

The tour first kicked off on March 17 and sees the singer take fans through her  extensive music catalog, including her past 10 albums.

While Swift rocks the stage with a 3-hour and 13-minute set, she has enlisted some of her music industry friends as the opening acts . The U.S. leg of the tour included big names such as Paramore and Haim, while her international tour has included her close pal Sabrina Carpenter .

Now, fans get to see Swift's entire concert on the big screen with her Eras Tour film , which is set to be released on Oct. 13.

Take a look back at her opening acts from the Eras Tour ahead.

The rock band formed in 2004 but achieved mainstream success with the release of their second album Riot! in 2007. With hits such as "Misery Business," "Crushcrushcrush," and "That's What You Get," the band was nominated for best new artist at the 2008 Grammy Awards .

In February 2023, the band released their new album This Is Why , just in time for the Eras Tour.

Swift and Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams go way back, with Williams previously performing with Swift during her Speak Now Tour and appearing in the singer's star-studded music video for "Bad Blood ."

Paramore appeared as an opening act during Swift's Glendale, Arizona concerts on March 17 and 18. They are also set to open for Swift during her European tour dates.

Sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim comprise this popular rock band, which released their first EP Forever in 2012, which eventually led to a deal with Polydor Records and a management deal with JAY-Z's Roc Nation group. The group received critical acclaim for their 2013 album Days Are Gone , including a nomination for best new artist at the 2015 Grammy Awards .

In June 2020, they released their third album Women in Music Pt. III , which received multiple Grammy nods. An expanded edition of the album featured Swift on the track "Gasoline ," which the singer performed with the band at their London show in July 2022.

Haim's friendship with Swift dates back to 2014 when they were seen attending some of Swift's legendary parties (including her 25th birthday party). Recently, they made a cameo in Swift's star-studded "Bejeweled" music video , which was packed full of Easter eggs about potential Swift album re-recordings.

In addition to serving as the opening act for the Seattle, Washington, and Santa Clara, California concerts, Haim also opened for Swift on the final nights of her U.S. tour in Los Angeles, California.

Phoebe Bridgers

Phoebe Bridgers first stepped into the music scene with the band Sloppy Jane before embarking on a solo career. She released her debut studio album, Stranger in the Alps , in 2017 to critical acclaim, followed by her second album Punisher in 2020, which received four nominations at the 2021 Grammy Awards , including best new artist.

In November 2021, Bridgers appeared on Swift's Red (Taylor's Version) on the track "Nothing New." In April 2022, Bridgers' song "Sidelines" was notably featured on Conversations with Friends , which starred Swift's boyfriend Joe Alwyn .

Bridgers opened for Swift from May 5 to May 28 including stops in Nashville, Tennessee and East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Beabadoobee

Beabadoobee, whose real name is Beatrice Kristi Laus, is a Filipino-British singer who first rose to prominence in 2017 with her music on YouTube. Her song "Coffee" gained over 300,000 views on YouTube, gaining the attention of Dirty Hit Records, whom she later signed with in 2018.

Her debut studio album, Fake It Flowers , was released in October 2020, receiving critical acclaim including the Radar Award at the 2020 NME Awards, where she first met Swift. " Taylor Swift came up to me and told me that she loved my performance and loves my music. She said she never skips a song," Beabadoobee said of her interaction with Swift .

In addition to receiving high praise from Swift, artists such as Harry Styles , Khalid, Jaden Smith, and Matty Healy of The 1975 have shown their support for the singer. Beabadoobee even served as the supporting act for The 1975, a group Swift has also shown her support for over the years.

Beabadoobee opened for Swift from March 24 to April 29, which will include concerts in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Houston, Texas.

Girl in Red

Girl in Red, whose real name is Marie Ulven Ringheim, is a Norwegian singer-songwriter who first stepped onto the scene in 2017 with her music on SoundCloud. In 2018, she released her EP Chapter 1 , followed by Chapter 2 in 2019 and her debut studio album If I Could Make It Go Quiet in 2021.

In 2019, Girl in Red embarked on her first North American tour supporting Conan Gray, another artist Swift has shown her support for in recent years. Girl in Red, whose lyric topics range from heartbreak to mental health to her experience of being queer , has also cited Swift as one of her biggest musical influences.

"I'm inspired by Taylor Swift on so many levels," Girl in Red previously told Vulture . "She's been in this industry so long, gotten the worst that any artist can get when it comes to how the world talks about them, but she still always bounces back with great music."

Girl in Red served as Swift's opening act starting on June 2 in Chicago, Illinois, and ending on June 24 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Muna is an indie pop band consisting of members Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin, and Naomi McPherson. After meeting at the University of Southern California, the trio began making music together, releasing their debut EP, More Perfect , on Bandcamp and SoundCloud. The EP eventually scored them a record deal with RCA Records, though they later signed with Phoebe Bridgers' record label Saddest Factory in 2021.

In addition to releasing three studio albums together, the group has opened for a number of big stars over the years, including Harry Styles and Kacey Musgraves. Muna, who all identify as queer , has gained prominence in the LGBTQ+ community for their lyrics about sexuality and gender.

Swift previously showed her support for the band back in 2020, when she included their track "Number One Fan" on her playlist celebrating International Women's Day. Most recently, the group put their own twist on Swift's Folklore track "August" with the release of their Live at Electric Lady EP.

Muna played at various shows in March, April, June and July 2023, with their final concert being in Denver, Colorado.

Gayle, whose full name is Taylor Gayle Rutherford, was first discovered by former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi , and eventually signed to Atlantic Records. In 2021, Gayle released her single "ABCDEFU," which quickly went viral on TikTok and Spotify. In March 2022, Gayle released her EP, A Study of the Human Experience Volume One , followed by A Study of the Human Experience Volume Two that October.

In September 2022, Gayle and Swift connected at the Nashville Songwriter Awards, where they were both honored. Gayle later posted a photo with the singer on social media, excitedly writing, "i've died and come back to life." Gayle later sat with Swift at the 2022 American Music Awards in November, alongside fellow Swiftie Sabrina Carpenter.

Gayle served as Swift's opening act for several different dates in March, April and May as well as some of the final U.S. concerts for the tour on Aug. 5 and Aug. 9.

Gracie Abrams

Gracie Abrams, the daughter of director J.J. Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, started garnering buzz in 2019 when she released her debut single "Mean It" under Interscope Records, followed by her debut EP, Minor, in July 2020 and her second EP, This Is What It Feels Like , in November 2021.

While Abrams credits Swift, Bon Iver, Lorde, and Phoebe Bridgers as her musical influences, she has also received praise from some big artists as well, including Post Malone , Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo (she even opened for Rodrigo on her recent Sour tour ).

Following the release of Abrams' song "Rockland," which was produced by Aaron Dessner, Swift showed her support on TikTok , joking that she needed "5-7 business days" to recover from the song. Abrams was also notably present at Swift's 32nd birthday celebration .

"Everything that she does is f—ing unbelievably inspiring, motivating, it makes me want to do better and be the best version of myself as a writer and a person," Abrams previously told Teen Vogue of her admiration of Swift .

Abrams toured with Swift for a large number of shows from April to August, with her last concert being in Los Angeles, California, which was the final stop on the U.S. tour.

She is also set to join Swift for the Eras Tour in Canada.

Owenn, whose full name is Christian Owens, is an up-and-coming singer who has a long history with Swift. In addition to being a dancer for Swift, during her Reputation stadium tour, Owenn costarred with her in her "Lover" music video .

In fact, Swift helped Owenn get his record deal with Republic Records. "She actually contacted the head of Republic herself on my behalf, which was kind of crazy," Owenn previously revealed during an Instagram Live . In April 2021, Owenn released his debut single "Baby Girl" followed by "Rest of My Life" in 2022.

Following Swift's Eras Tour announcement, Owenn expressed his gratitude to the singer on social media, writing, "I'm so blessed and grateful for this opportunity. Thank you @taylorswift a million times over !!! … This is truly a dream. Thank you everyone for all the support.. I'm still processing!"

Owenn served as the opening act for Swift throughout June as well as one of the last U.S. tour dates on Aug. 4.

Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter first rose to fame as an actress on Disney Channel with the Boy Meets World spinoff series Girl Meets World . Around the same time, she embarked on a singing career with her EP Can't Blame a Girl for Trying in 2014.

Since then, she has released five studio albums, including 2022's Emails I Can't Send , which featured hits such as "Because I Liked a Boy" and "Nonsense." She also went on the Emails I Can't Send Tour later that year in support of the album.

Swift and Carpenter have developed a close friendship in recent years, but Carpenter's love for the singer goes way back to 2009 when she posted a YouTube video of her covering "Picture to Burn." In addition to gushing about Swift in interviews, Carpenter and the "Blank Space" singer have shared a number of cute moments together at award shows.

In June 2023, Swift announced Carpenter as her opening act for the international leg of the Eras Tour with a sweet post on social media. “Sweet angel princess @sabrinacarpenter will be joining us on all of the shows!" Swift wrote at the time.

Meanwhile, Carpenter excitedly reacted to the news on Instagram, writing, “trying to process this but alas i shant CANT WAIT TO JOIN THE ERAS TOUR IN LATIN AMERICA thank u @taylorswift u the 1 :’) this is a dream come true.”

In addition to touring with Swift in Latin America, she will also join Swift in Australia and Singapore.

NASHVILLE, TENN.  –  Morgan Wallen  admittedly treats his tours like an athlete approaching a new season, so when the East Tennessean wrapped his wildly successful 55-city Dangerous Tour   on Oct. 8, no one expected he’d come with a line-up of more shows this soon. Yet, the ACM  Milestone Award  Winner and only country artist nominated for  Pollstar ‘s Major Tour of the Year  award revealed this morning he’s not only expanding the size of the venues he’s playing, he’s traveling around the globe to see his fans in 2023!

Morgan Wallen’s   One Night At A Time World Tour , produced by Live Nation in North America and Frontier Touring for Australia/New Zealand, kicks off overseas  March 15-24  with shows in New Zealand and Australia with  HARDY  before returning stateside on  April 15  at Milwaukee’s American Family Field with HARDY, hitting New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park with  Parker McCollum , before wrapping on  Oct. 7  at Tacoma Dome in Washington.  ERNEST  and  Bailey Zimmerman  will support across all dates, U.S. and internationally. Thirty-nine dates in total with 17 stadiums, amphitheaters, and arenas to boot.  Tickets on sale at  MorganWallen.com  beginning Friday, Dec. 9.

Wallen named his tour after one of three new songs dropping tonight at midnight on his  One Thing At A Time – Sampler : “One Thing At A Time”; “Tennessee Fan,” paying homage to Wallen’s East Tennessee upbringing; and “Days That End In Why.” Together, these three songs serve as the first taste of what’s to come from his time in the studio and arrive on the heels of his new single at country radio, “ Thought You Should Know ,” cowritten with  Miranda Lambert  and  Nicolle Galyon , currently sitting Top 20 as his latest No. 1 “You Proof” returns to the top of the charts for a rare sixth, non-consecutive weeks atop the Country Airplay chart.

“Man, what a year 2022 has been with the Dangerous Tour. I had the time of my life, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am that my fans connected with the  Dangerous  album the way they did,” Wallen shares. “I’ve had so many people ask me if I wanted to take some time off; but the truth is – I have been writing and making so much music in my off-time because I feel as inspired as I ever have. It feels like new songs are pouring out of me, and I love that feeling. We are going to run it back next year with the One Night At A Time World Tour. Bigger venues. New countries. Bigger memories. See y’all there.”

As one of the biggest artists in the world with  Dangerous  continuing to notch historical chart status as  Billboard’s  longest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist  (eclipsing Adele’s  21  and Bruce Springsteen’s  Born In The USA ), the 2022  American Music Awards ‘  Favorite Male Artist  and  Favorite Country Song  winner adds, “Also, I’m not quite done making this new album, so I’m going to keep making it through the holiday break and early January to chase this inspiration. I promise I won’t wait too long to reveal the album details. To hold you over, I’m dropping three new songs today as a sampler of what I’ve been working on. Can’t wait to take it  one night at a time  in 2023.”

Wallen’s 2022 Dangerous Tour spanned over 50 shows and broke records in 30 venues across the country during its 8-month-long run. Highlights include his historic Globe Life Field show, which became the fastest sellout in the venue’s history and surpassed attendance records previously held by artists such as Elton John and Lady Gaga, and holding fastest historical sellouts at 11 venues, while simultaneously breaking attendance records with stops at XFINITY Theatre, AmericanBank Center and Darien Lake Amphitheater.

As on his Dangerous Tour ,  $3 of every ticket sold for U.S. dates benefits the Morgan Wallen Foundation which funds causes close to his heart and, to-date, has supported organizations such as  Greater Good Music  by donating over 500,000 meals-and-counting, to  Children Are People , the  Salvation Army  and  National Museum of African American Music .

There is no official pre-sale in the U.S. for this tour, so fans are advised to only purchase through verified fans. For more information, visit  www.morganwallen.com . Morgan Wallen Fan Club pre-sale for Australia and New Zealand shows begins on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

Morgan Wallen, the acclaimed country music artist, is gearing up to enthrall audiences once again with the expansion of his widely praised “ One Night at a Time ” tour into 2024. This extension includes an impressive lineup of 10 massive stadium dates across the United States, featuring notable opening acts like Jelly Roll , Lainey Wilson , Bailey Zimmerman , Jon Pardi , Nate Smith , Bryan Martin , Lauren Watkins , and Ella Langley are among the talented artists joining Morgan Wallen on his 2024 stadium tour”.

The tour is set to kick off on April 4, 2024, at the iconic Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis , promising an unforgettable musical journey that will culminate on August 8, 2024, at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium . Wallen expressed his heartfelt appreciation to his dedicated fan base, recognizing the impossibility of hitting all desired stadiums in 2023 and thus deciding to extend the tour into 2024.

Produced by Live Nation in North America and Frontier Touring for Australia/New Zealand, the tour originally commenced in March in New Zealand and is presently in its 2023 leg, concluding on December 3 at London’s prestigious O2 Arena. The excitement continues into 2024, with Wallen headlining Stagecoach on April 28 and additional stadium and amphitheater dates scheduled through June 8.

Morgan Wallen’s tour is an extension of the monumental success of his third studio album, “ One Thing at a Time “, which achieved a record-breaking 15 nonconsecutive weeks at Securing the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart shortly after its March release”. This remarkable achievement marked the longest-running reign at the top for a country album in over three decades. The album’s hit single, “ Last Night “, dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for an impressive 16 weeks and earned the prestigious title of Billboard’s Song of the Summer.

To secure tickets for this sensational tour, fans must register in advance by October 1, with randomly selected fans receiving exclusive presale access codes. Notably, Wallen is making a significant philanthropic contribution, as three dollars from every U.S. ticket sold will be donated to the Morgan Wallen Foundation, supporting youth programs centered around sports and music. The 2024 tour proudly bears sponsorship from Boot Barn.

In a delightful twist, NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning joined forces with Morgan Wallen to unveil the extension of his 2024 U.S. tour dates in an entertaining video. The Manning brothers showcased their versatility, transitioning from football to acting, comedy, broadcasting, and now, concert promotion.

The video begins with Peyton Manning donning a mullet wig reminiscent of Wallen’s signature hairstyle, singing along to “ Last Night “, and receiving a FaceTime call from Wallen himself. The humorous exchange underscores the fun-loving spirit of the tour and the camaraderie among the artists.

As the video unfolds, it becomes evident that Wallen has some unique guidelines for the Manning brothers: no dressing up, no singing, and minimal bad jokes. Eli Manning, known for his deadpan humor, is suggested as the perfect fit for the task, leading to Wallen’s decision to involve him in the announcement. Eli Manning takes the stage, revealing the exciting news of the tour extension into 2024, with fresh dates commencing in April. This expansion offers fans even more opportunities to witness the superstar in action.

While Wallen won’t be adding more stops in the greater L.A. area, fans can catch him headlining Stagecoach 2024 on April 28 and concluding the tour with a grand finale at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on August 8. Peyton Manning, persistently humorous, playfully attempts to reach Wallen, closing the video with a nod to the artist’s hit song, “ Chasing You “.

Morgan Wallen’s career resurgence in recent years has been truly remarkable, following a 2021 incident where he used an unacceptable racial slur. Wallen’s record labels, Big Loud Records and Republic Records , promptly suspended his recording contract indefinitely in response to the incident. However, Wallen’s 2023 album, “ One Thing at a Time “, achieved significant success through these record labels and Mercury Records.

Despite the controversy, Wallen’s music has made a triumphant return to major streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, even gracing the cover art of Spotify’s “ Country Top 50 ” playlist. This resurgence underscores the enduring appeal of Wallen’s music and his continued connection with devoted fans eagerly anticipating his upcoming 2024 tour.

TOOL reveal opening act for North American tour

Pick up TOOL vinyl, merch and more over at  Revolver's shop

Next month, TOOL  will embark on their long-awaited first tour  of 2023. The fall North American trek includes the band's first shows in Canada since 2019, and as usual, the alt-metal band announced all of the dates long before naming the opening band(s).

Today (September 12th), TOOL have revealed that Steel Beans will be the one support act joining them on their non-festival tour dates throughout October and November.

If the name Steel Beans doesn't ring a bell, don't be alarmed. The one-man garage-rock act helmed by Jeremy DeBardi was practically unheard-of until he experienced a sudden explosion in viral popularity last year, when one of his songs picked up steam on Instagram.

Still, Steel Beans is practically unknown in the metal world that TOOL generally occupy, so it's very on-the-nose for them — ever the eclectic bunch — to invite the quirky rocker to open their massive arena tour.

See the full tour routing below and then check out a Steel Beans song after the jump.

OUR PROGRAMS

“Opening Act has not only taught me the craft of acting, but things that I can apply to life such as diligence and determination.”

Mila | Opening Act Alum (Brooklyn )

All Opening Act programming is in-person! Students, click here to learn more!

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Opening Act’s free, year-long, After School Theater Program is based on a highly-structured, goal-oriented curriculum that teaches improvisation, acting technique, and writing exercises to help students unleash their creativity, foster collaboration, and develop leadership and problem-solving skills.

We spark complex discussions using theater and writing exercises specifically designed to help students amplify their voices, express their perspectives, and create original theater pieces that directly address the contemporary social issues they face on a daily basis. The program culminates in an annual play festival, YESfest, premiering original works created, written, and performed by the students in a professional theater.

Currently offered at 55 schools in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens, our After School Program provides a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment so that our students feel empowered to share their stories.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES

BROADWAY / OFF-BROADWAY SHOWS  Each year we provide students who would otherwise likely not have the means or opportunity to attend a live performance with the chance to see a play. Connecting participants with the excitement of seeing some of the best professional theatrical performances is a critical tool in Opening Act’s mission.

WORKSHOPS WITH PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS  Throughout the year, creative professionals – including cast members from Broadway shows, playwrights, hip-hop and spoken word artists, and designers – teach a workshop or talk with our students about their personal journeys.

Read about our impact .

DISTRICT 79

Over the last several years Opening Act has built a thriving partnership with District 79, New York City’s Alternative High School program. District 79 sites engage young people who have become disconnected from traditional high school settings for a variety of reasons including homelessness, recent immigration, parenting responsibilities, and being impacted by the school to prison pipeline. Students attending District 79 sites are almost exclusively preparing for their High School Equivalency Exam and have essentially no access to arts education. Opening Act programming is even more critical for these students. Opening Act is currently partnering with 10 D79 sites throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, and we hope to expand into other boroughs in the years to come.

ACT 2: COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS PROGRAM

The Act 2 College and Career Program is designed to help the young creatives at Opening Act prepare for and navigate the transition from high school into college, work, and the arts and entertainment industry. Act 2 is a multifaceted program designed to equip all students and alumni for postsecondary success, especially those pursuing careers in theatre, film, television, or other sectors of the creative economy. This unique, innovative program brings together successful theater practice, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) development, and community-building to help students and alumni develop the skills that will serve them in college, in the workforce, and in every aspect of life.

STUDENT PROGRAMMING Under the direction of a certified college access counselor, Act 2 provides support for students preparing for college and career opportunities after high school, focusing specifically on students interested in artistic and creative careers who may not have other postsecondary resources connected to their interests and goals. Every semester, the Act 2 Summit is open to all program participants interested in exploring college and career options through the lens of theater and entertainment. Additionally, a variety of scholarship opportunities are available to Opening Act students, as are paid summer internships through organizational partnerships.

ALUMNI PROGRAMMING The Opening Act Alumni Network welcomes all young adults who have participated in our programming, connecting them virtually and in-person at semi-annual mixer events. Networking events and master classes are offered throughout the year with guest artists from film, television, and theater. Additionally, the Alumni Conservatory is a full-year professional-level training program offered free of charge for Opening Act alumni who might otherwise lack access to this valuable training and networking opportunity.

ACT 2 FELLOWSHIP The Act 2 Fellowship is a paid workforce development program specifically designed for young creative professionals. Act 2 Fellows develop their SEL competencies and employability skills through instruction, mentoring, and practical application in individual and group projects. Each fellow works with Act 2 staff and an individual mentor working in their chosen field to set and work toward goals that will set them up for professional success. In addition, the cohort of Act 2 Fellows works together to produce and facilitate events for the broader Opening Act community, serving as alumni ambassadors for the organization.

DEEPER ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMMING

STUDENT LEADERSHIP COMPANY  Opening Act’s Student Leadership Company is comprised of students from each of our program sites who exhibit notable collaborative leadership qualities within their ensembles. Students meet throughout the year to devise original, social-justice-based theatrical pieces they perform in the community.

SUMMER ARTS AND LEADERSHIP CONSERVATORY  This three-week intensive program allows students to take their leadership and artistic skills to the next level through immersion in a wide-ranging curriculum that includes courses in Shakespeare, Voice, Scene Study, and Leadership. The Conservatory culminates with a performance showcasing students’ artistic and leadership skills.

Review: Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ in Singapore – ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’ needed more love

After nine years, Taylor Swift is performing at one of the biggest stages in Singapore in 2024. But there were minor snags that marred the first of six performances at the National Stadium. Here’s our concert review of Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ in Singapore.

“My mum (Andrea Swift) actually spent a lot of her childhood with her mum and dad and sister growing up in Singapore,” Taylor Swift shared this personal information nugget to the 60-thousand-strong crowd after performing marjorie , a song off her ninth studio album, evermore . Marjorie was written as a tribute to Swift’s late maternal grandmother, opera singer Marjorie Finlay. This relation reflected Swift’s impression of the city-state too.

Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ is undeniably the main concert event of 2024 in Singapore . As the Singapore leg is the only stop in Southeast Asia, many fans are coming from our neighbouring regions to town just for this gig.

Being one of the biggest living pop stars in the world currently, getting a ticket to see Swift perform wasn’t the easiest task. In fact, the process was even dubbed ‘The Great War’ by fans.

Taylor Swift TAS_1667

While I’m not an ardent Swiftie, her music discography got me through particular moments in my life. Heck, I’m just a year older than Swift, and hence, the relatability. Specifically the crush-coded You Belong With Me and ethereal Snow On The Beach (featuring Lana Del Rey) . Also, she has my respect for being a sharp songwriter and lyricist with her compositions. I knew I had to try my luck for a ticket to ‘The Eras Tour’ in Singapore. The concept and setlist are perfect to sum up her successful 18-year-long career.

A survival guide to Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ 2024 concerts in Singapore

I’ve watched the movie edit of ‘The Eras Tour’ and it’s safe to say there wasn’t a stark difference between the real and reel, save for a couple of region-specific banters (Singapore colloquialism) and, of course, the surprise acoustics segment (which we’ll get to later). After all, any attempts to alter and veer off what’s expected will send Swifties into frenzy mode.

Entry to the Singapore National Stadium was orderly. Most Swifties were dressed for the occasion, from the pastel colours of ‘Lover’ to sequinned outfits for ‘Midnights’ – whichever era resonated with them. The fan who wore a key lime green dog costume ( The Last Great American Dynasty ) definitely got my vote for Best Dressed.

Opening act Sabrina Carpenter impressed with her fresh musicality and wit, especially for the custom outro on nonsense she does for every concert supporting Swift. Night one in Singapore was “Gardens by the Bay, I wanna go there. / Then I’ll take you somewhere that has no hair, / Singapore, you’re so perfect that it’s not fair.”

Swift’s set promptly started moments after 7pm, after the iconic countdown timer reached zero. The robotic synth of Cruel Summer (a personal favourite) kicked off the ‘Lover’ era. Swift used the sleeper hit song to interact with the crowd for the first time in the evening by prompting them to sing along to the bridge. A thunderous response followed.

Review: Key highlights of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour Singapore concert

Taylor Swift TAS_1364

Overall, Swift’s delivery throughout the three-and-a-half hour-long concert was textbook perfect. She started a little clinical but quickly warmed up to Singapore from the ‘Fearless’ era. The acoustics proved to be flawed and caused a dent in this experience. Yes, National Stadium still isn’t an ideal concert venue to best appreciate music. It is, however, one of the only few venues that can allow a 55,000- 60,000 crowd.

*Note: Swift was more relaxed on night two, where she shared with fans that her hair “went back to factory reset-setting due to the humidity in Singapore.” If you’re wondering, her hair morphed from tamed to curly within the 3.5 hours.

It was also evident that eras before ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’ were crowd favourites from the volume of the chants and sing-a-longs. Catchy and made for radio to be mega hits, those songs are certainly easier to digest. It was disappointing to hear the cheers dimmed and see a portion of the crowd in my zone getting restless during the ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’ eras as both are Swift’s magnum opuses, music-wise. In Singapore, they are underrated.

To give benefit of the doubt, the casual fans here might be enjoying the slower-tempo songs in their own way, but scrolling through social media definitely wasn’t a polite way of doing so. As a consolation, I did spot a handful of Swifties mouthing enthusiastically to every word. One dude deserves to be #MVP for the night.

For me, I switched from casually singing to roaring on Champagne Problems (“She would’ve made such a lovely bride. / “What a shame she’s fucked in the head,” they said”) and The Last Great American Dynasty (“There goes the most shameless woman this town has ever seen. / She had a marvelous time ruinin’ everything”). Genius lyrics.

The brooding cinematic quality sets of ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’ eras presented excellent accompanying narratives to the songs. This can be seen with the cult-like haunting circle of Willow and the ‘Folklore’ cabin.

Another highlight was experiencing the smooth transition from Don’t Blame Me to Look What You Made Me Do in person. Swift foreboded the increasing tempo and sinister bass with an assertive stance to become “the actress starring in your bad dreams”.

There were also a couple of endearing localised easter eggs peppered throughout the concert like dancer Kameron ‘Kam’ Saunders’ “No lah” on We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together .

taylor swift surprise songs tracker the eras tour 2024

Then there was the surprise song acoustics segment, which is like a rewarding blind box. As Swift sauntered towards the resting instruments in the infamous yellow dress, the crowd crossed their fingers tightly, hoping she would perform a song on their wishlist. Night one featured a mashup of Mine and Starlight performed with the guitar and another mashup of I Don’t Wanna Live Forever and Dress performed with the piano. Interestingly, the latter two tracks are songs from ‘Reputation’ and Swift’s Instagram streamed this segment live. This prompted a guessing game regarding the release of ‘Reputation’ (Taylor’s Version).

*Update: Night two featured a mashup of Long Story Short and The Story Of Us on the guitar and a mashup of Clean and title track evermore on the piano.

A greatest hits concert can be tricky to pull off but Swift shrewdly delivered the peaks of her career straightforwardly. ‘The Eras Tour’ has got to be one of the most important concerts in today’s popular culture, so make no reservations and catch it should the opportunity be presented to you. You’ll definitely see me at the National Stadium again on the final night of the Singapore leg.

Rolling Stones Announce Opening Acts for U.S. Tour, From Lukas Nelson to Juanes

The Rolling Stones have unveiled a list of all the opening acts for their rescheduled American tour, which opens June 21 in Chicago and runs through August 31 in Miami. The list of 17 dates includes different support acts at 15 of those shows, with only Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real and Kaleo coming up for double-duty on the tour.

The list is certainly an eclectic one, from the Icelandic blues-rock group Kaleo, which is scheduled to open the Pasadena Rose Bowl show August 22 as well as a gig in Glendale, Arizona the following night, to Colombian sensation Juanes , who will set the stage for the Stones at their closing Miami appearance.
